Beneath the Red Dragon

Although their identities were difficult to match equally, the White Dragon, on the verge of ascending to ancestral status, already regarded that Elf as a pioneer and trailblazer akin to Ancestral Red Dragon Karon Gogomola.

Since the Giant Dragons descended into the Material World countless ages and epochs ago, only Ancestral Red Dragon Karon Gogomola had been able to clearly see the path of the True Dragon and shape the true spirit of Dragon civilization.

Not even those Ancient Giant Dragons, Demigod Dragons, Divine Sealing Dragons, nor the exalted Dragon Gods had achieved this.

That Elf was the same, thus earning the White Dragon’s heartfelt respect.

Even Dark Nest Lord Shalos, reputed to be one of the most terrifying beings on the Western Continent, showed a look of approval on her alluringly wicked face.

It is said that this lord of the Dark Nest is dangerous and evil.

Any race or creature within the realm of the Dark Nest that displeases this lord would face the terrifying consequences of destruction.

And an even scarier consequence than destruction is having all sense of autonomy erased by the Dark Lord Shalos, becoming an alchemical soldier in the lord’s campaigns.

But at this moment, the eyes of this cold, wicked lord, like deep water, shone brightly, meaningfully looking toward the Elf Hero King and the Ancestral Red Dragon.

Perhaps in the heart of this lord of the Dark Nest, the unattained legends were stories told by others, but at this moment, such figures indeed stood beside her.

This was also the reason Dark Nest Lord Shalos dared to risk herself and come to the Golden Empire.

Anudale nodded and said, ”My father was indeed a grand elder, he was also my greatest admiration; in my heart, my father’s image surpasses the Main God revered and feared by the Dark Elves.”

The smile at the corners of the King of Dark Elves’ mouth faded, and he said quietly, ”But my father is dead! A warrior destined to become strong died under that eternally unchanging order,”

”He and my secret were discovered by our race; it was all too normal,” Anudale said softly, ”For living in secrecy is such a tiring thing; perhaps my father also felt weary, thus he took on all the blame,”

”Finally, my father was sacrificed by those Elf Priestesses as a sacrifice to the Dark Elves’ divine spirit — Alorith.”

”Because of this, I survived, carrying his will, witnessing him being sent to the altar by my mother, the mother of the Dark Elves, with her own hands.”

Anudale showed a mocking smile again, ”Then my family began to fall into endless conspiracy and suspicion like those Zor, one of my elder brothers was even murdered by another.”

Karon shifted his gaze to the Elf Hero King beside him.

Veins as thick as worms squirmed frighteningly under his pale skin on the clearly outlined forehead.

This indescribable anger made the tone of Anudale, the composed king, turn icy.

”At the edge of the Dark Elves’ main city are endless abandoned caves and ancient beast nests, where twisted creatures, mutated Zor Elves, those pitiful vagrants become twisted alien species due to the decreed trials.”

”All Zor reaching a certain capability level would partake in the trials of the Dark Elves’ Main God Alorith, that goddess tests their loyalty, their wisdom, their capability.”

”Although other gods also test their followers, only this goddess would do so in such an absolutely evil, absolutely cruel, and utterly foolish manner,”

”She is also the only divine spirit who intentionally ruins the appearance and order of those pitiful ones in such horrifying ways, making her followers live in eternal agony.”

Even though the divine spirit has distanced from Aikania, situated at endlessly remote regions, the insults and disdain in King of Dark Elves Anudale’s words still triggered a passive sense of perception from the Elf Goddess Alorith.

Instantly, the world seemed to change colors, the white hair of Elf Hero King Anudale swirled within the quiet domain of the Magic Dragon God, his formidable aura soared violently, roaring skyward: ”Get out, I have endured your punishment long enough, you haven’t killed me and cannot influence me.”

The gentle, magnetic voice erupted with unprecedented fury, scattering the passive force perception from the distant mighty divine spirit, shattering the surges of wind and cloud at the horizon.

Instant calm ensued, as did the serene expression of Anudale calming down.

”You see, even people like us are merely tools in the eyes of those lofty divine spirits for manipulation,” Elf Anudale calmly smiled, ”Lord Gogomola, do you think I can be like you, overturning all the Dark Elves’ habits, breaking the shackles and chains left over millennia, destroying those orders and systems that shouldn’t exist, building a new era?”

”This is difficult,” Karon gazed at the sunset on the verge of sinking, speaking with deep meaning: ”Those divine spirits cannot allow some beings to defy their will, they will cast their world-ending brilliance,”

”If the divine spirits weren’t also bound by rules, those infinite material planes in their eyes would be mere toys easily accessible, possessing the power to effortlessly obliterate worlds.”
