Beneath the Red Dragon

The salty sea breeze carried with it a strange scent as it blew in.

This was the behavior of a legendary being openly proclaiming its existence between heaven and earth.

Just like the towering three-story masts of ships on the vast sea, the markings on the fluttering sails were as elusive as an invisible web in the abyss.

The dark and evil will was hidden in the deepest part, like a spider demon quietly waiting for prey to fall into its web, with countless spreading auras forming its hunting net.

Rarely would a legendary being so blatantly display its presence in the world.

It’s not because this act of sketching heaven and earth would deplete their energy; such depletion is negligible for a legend.

But because when a legend does this, it signifies an irreconcilable attitude, a blatant challenge.

No legend can tolerate another easily controlling the world’s space before them, as it represents an intention to suppress using the power of the world.

However, the aura over the sea rose and fell immediately, clearly not with any ulterior motives but to inform the land’s master that a guest had arrived.

White Dragon Gomot slightly furrowed the icy scales between his brows, sensing that this aura didn’t just contain the presence of one legend but two.

Gomot glanced at Karon, who sat calmly on the wooden chair crafted by Divine Favored Naga Jaluun, and found that Karon showed no emotion at all.

Thus, White Dragon Gomot gently waved his sharp claw, signaling the Imperial Forest Corps and Golden Guards, who had sensed the aura fluctuations and had fallen into alert, to disperse, not needing to be overly cautious in order not to diminish the empire’s prestige.

Behind the two Dragon Descendants, on the sheer cliff, sixteen hooded Magic Borrowers appeared quietly.

These Magic Borrowers, who were actually priests, wore robes with the emblem of Magic Dragon God Kreska on their chests, symbolizing the messengers of miracles and the mystic power of the Magic Light.

Since these priests were not followers of Magic Dragon God Kreska and didn’t wish to convert to the Dragon God’s faith, they were called Magic Borrowers who leveraged the Dragon God’s power.

The sixteen Magic Borrowers lightly tapped their scepters, inlaid with Magic Gemstones and the Dragon God Badge, into the mountain rock, silently watching the arriving fleet.

Massive black ravens cawed noisily, while countless white seagulls and birds scattered in panic across the sky.

Because these ravens were far beyond the size of normal ravens.

In the Icaria World, ravens, as large and spiritually abundant birds, were the largest and smartest among the sparrow family, naturally growing to the size akin to sky eagles.

Yet these ravens with red eyes, green wings, and black bodies were at least two meters in size.

Among them, the largest raven had huge wings glimmering with a purple-blue metallic sheen, with throat and chest feathers as long as steel needle feathers, and several black hooked claws that seemed to possess the sharp power to split mountains and stones.

The two scarlet eyes radiated intense spiritual brilliance, using their cawing to command all the black-feathered ravens.

”The lord of the Dark Nest, the Queen of Poison Shalos, not only rules part of the Zor Elves in the Dark Realm, but also many monsters from the Dark Nest and her native race,”

White Dragon Gomot said softly, ”And in Shalos’s legion, biological weapons and alchemical warriors make up nearly half the proportion; these ravens seem to be part of the Poison Queen’s aerial legion.”

Karon nodded lightly, revealing fierce teeth, ”These ravens, although individually less powerful than the empire’s flying dragons, seem comparable to those dragons in spirituality,”

”The most important thing is that as the Biological Alchemy Corps, the ravens have a gregarious nature and a reproductive speed that the empire’s flying dragons cannot match.”

Gomot also nodded; although White Dragon believed that the military might of the Golden Empire feared no race or nation in the Icaria World, not even the elite legions of the two Overlord Empires on the Central Continent could necessarily surpass the empire’s military prestige.

But White Dragon would not underestimate the power of other cultural races, strategically looking down on the enemy but tactically needing to emphasize the enemy’s strength.

As a collective intelligence and highly social activity ravens’ legion, White Dragon Gomot was silently contemplating methods to swiftly eliminate enemy aerial units and undermine the enemy’s flexible observant advantages if the empire were to go to war with the Dark Nest side.

As it neared dusk, there were particularly many ships on the sea, with numerous fishing boats and merchant ships returning to port.

Yet the fleet from the Dark Nest approached slowly on the sea, drawing much attention.

Although the Golden Empire’s stance had never been deeply intertwined with those evil forces, in many people’s eyes, the dragon-founded nation naturally belonged to the side of evil, albeit focusing more on order compared to other evil racial civilizations.

Even many citizens within the Golden Empire struggled to see their nation as part of the good camp, at best, considering it neutral.

After all, whether it is the rulers of this nation or its people, there is always an internal driving force from a unified civilizational will and culture, driving the nation’s people to continue expanding outward.
