Chapter 2201: Sword Manor

Tang Shaoyang returned to the Sacred Realm, to the floating island, which had become the Thousand Vows Pavilion. The Yang Clan that had been following Ouyang Biya also joined the Thousand Vows Pavilion as disciples. They would learn under each pavilion.

Yang Bo expressed his willingness to be part of the Thousand Vows Pavilion after the three families joined. However, the Yang Clan didn’t receive the same privileges as the three families. The gap between the Yang Clan and the three families was just too big to begin with.

Yang Bo also accepted the terms, becoming the disciple of the Thousand Vows Pavilion. They could learn from the existing pavilions, of which there were only four for now. But the number would grow as more pavilions were established.

Tang Shaoyang considered it his job to rebuild the Thousand Vows Pavilion. He now handed over the authority to the current Grandmasters and let them develop the Thousand Vows Pavilion in the direction they wanted.

He left the Thousand Vows Pavilion with no one noticing him. He thought of summoning the spirit at the place where he fought Alderman. But that would attract unwanted attention.

On top of that, he didn’t think he could summon a Heavenly Beast in a city, as he believed a location determined what he summoned. So, a place where a settlement used to stand was not the right place if his aim was Heavenly Beast.

As he was looking for a summoning spot, his Communication was spammed by Arion. He could picture their ugly expression after he dropped the Corrupted Immortal Emperor. It was not hard to guess what Redmond wanted by visiting the Sacred Realm.

However, they needed confirmation from him, and he would not tell them. Not that he planned to keep it, but this was a payment for their game. He wanted them to suffer with the suspense.

He blocked Arion from his call, and while at it, he blocked everyone from the Executive Administrator. He made sure none of them could call him. After a while, he finally found the spot.

He picked the tallest mountain and decided to use this mountain for Spirit Summoning. After ensuring that no people were around, he started to unload the bodies from his inventory.

[Let me fight the summoning spirit, Master! Give us a chance to have fun as well. It’s always Lady Avyn and Lady Zara who get to have fun.]

It was Nikolas who said that. He didn’t get the chance to really fight someone on his level in the Sacred Realm. That was why he quickly said that before the summoning. It seemed he was voicing what the other spirits’ desire was as well.

”Let’s see later.”

It depended on what he summoned, but he made sure to go big as he included Alderman’s body. He had accumulated a lot of bodies. The bodies he got from the battle against his neighbors in the God Realm and more. A lot of God Rank bodies and thousands of Demi-God Ranks.

Just as he was about to start the Spirit Summoning, he sensed someone coming closer. He turned around and saw an old man wearing a gray robe and a sword on his waist approaching.

The old man carried himself with dignity and looked solemn while his eyes locked on the mountain of corpses. Then he snapped toward Tang Shaoyang as he sensed something.

”It’s rude to probe a stranger with your internal energy!”

That was right, Tang Shaoyang used Detection on the old man and found out that the old man was at the peak of the True God Realm. The old man was on the same rank as the Murim Alliance Leader.

”So it’s not rude for you to sneak behind me?”

The old man stopped right at thirty meters from him.

”So which god are you? Spear God is dead. I know Fire God, the Sword God, and the Fist God’s faces. You are not one of them.”

He came to the conclusion that this old man was another person who was titled as a God. The old man tried to visit the Radiant Blossom City after hearing the news and met him on the way to the city.

”Unfortunately, this old man is not the god you expected. This old man is Song Wei, hailed from a place called Sword Manor.”

He might not know this Sword Manor, but Ouyang Biya should have heard of it as a place with a peak of the True God Realm.

[Sword Manor is a hidden faction that is barely involved in the murim’s affair. The only time they show up is when the Sacred Realm is in danger. The Sword Manor sends this old man to assess the situation in the Radiant Blossom City. They might try to find the culprit behind the great family’s massacre as well. Zhong Tian Yun might have tipped the Sword Manor about you.]

”This old man has answered your question. Now it’s time for you to answer this old man’s question. Who are you? And what are you going to do with those bodies? Depending on your answer, this old man might draw this sword to kill you.”

As Song Wei finished his words, he released a powerful aura and also an intense killing intent.

Tang Shaoyang just shrugged, and with a single wave of his hand, he got rid of the intimidating aura. The old man was clearly surprised by how Tang Shaoyang easily got rid of the aura.

”My name is Tang Shaoyang of the Tang Empire. As for the bodies, that’s my secret that I can’t share with you. And you don’t need to be concerned about the body. The body will be gone after I finish with my business here. Can you leave this place now, old man? I don’t like getting rough with an old man, and I would like some privacy too.”

Song Wei frowned and didn’t like the answer. This was the first time he heard about the Tang Empire, but it was the same name the Alliance Leader gave him. The one who caused the trouble in Xiyun Province.

”The Sword Manor sent this old man to assess the situation, whether or not you could become a threat to the Sacred Realm. I can’t leave. I must stay and watch you to see what you will do with those bodies and determine whether the Sword Manor will eliminate you for the sake of the Sacred Realm or not.”

”Unfortunately, I can’t let you stay here and watch what I am going to do, Old Man,” Tang Shaoyang then summoned Nikolas.

”Since you are asking a strong opponent, you can fight him. I will leave the decision in your hands whether to kill or spare him.”

Song Wei was shocked to see an armored man suddenly appear next to Tang Shaoyang. He made sure to check the surroundings before approaching Tang Shaoyang, and he confirmed no one was around except for Tang Shaoyang. He was confused about where this armored man came from.

Nikolas scratched his hair, ”I am indeed asking for a strong opponent, but I don’t think this old man was considered as one. Look at how fragile he is. He might die with a single touch of my spear.”

”If you don’t want—”

Nikolas cut Tang Shaoyang’s words off as he took two steps forward, ”Who said I would not fight the old man?” He then took out his spear.

”I don’t care if you kill him or not, but drag that old man away from here.”

Tang Shaoyang didn’t want the old man to witness the Spirit Summoning, and he didn’t want to move to another location. His instinct told him that this was the perfect spot. On top of that, he was kinda lazy to put the dead bodies back into his inventory. The solution was to drag the old man away from this place.

”We can avoid a pointless fight if you just let this old man watch what you are going to do with those dead bodies. Alas, you give this old man no choice.”

The old man drew his sword out, and the aura around him completely changed. He gained the vigor that he didn’t have, and his eyes became increasingly sharp. There was this internal energy that swirled around in his eyes.

”This might not be as boring as I thought!”

Nikolas’s figure blurred as he thrust the spear forward. His movement was so fast that it caught the old man off guard. The old man was caught off guard, but he managed to put his sword up to block the spear.

The flat side of the sword received the tip of the spear and pushed Song Wei backward. His sole dragged on the ground, pushing ten meters backward. His hands were trembling after blocking that spear.

Song Wei was surprised by how strong the spear was. He didn’t sense any internal energy from this armored man, yet the strike was so powerful that it pushed him back. He realized that he must get serious from the start or else he might truly die.

He looked up, but then he didn’t see the armored man. It wasn’t until he sensed a force pulling his collar from behind. It was then that he was thrown down from the peak. He tried to establish himself in the air, but then the armored man appeared in front of him with a spear.

The spear shot toward his chest, and he hastily put the sword to block the spear. He managed to block the spear from piercing his chest, but he was getting dragged away from the peak. They were crashing down from the peak, and he could no longer see the pile of dead bodies.
