Armed Train in the Apocalypse

”What a coincidence, I know a bit about combat skills too.”

Su Huan licked the corner of his mouth and dove down.

Electric arcs filled the sky, crackling loudly.

The lightning spear in his hand was instantly thrown in Zhong Cheng’s direction.

If the opponent had advanced to Tier Three ”Fighting Master,” Su Huan would never be so disrespectful. But as it stands, Zhong Cheng is merely a Tier One ”Fighting Master,” so it’s worth a try.

After all, in his past life, he was an Evolver in both the power supply and defense domains.

Facing the rapidly approaching lightning spear, even Zhong Cheng only had time to lift a hand, his whole body sparkling with electricity, unable to dodge at all.

No matter how strong his physique was, he was momentarily paralyzed; the three subordinates around him had already charged up.

Then they were sent flying back even faster.

”Bang, bang, bang—”

Su Huan spat out the grenade pin held between his teeth and landed steadily.

With one foot on the ground, he charged toward the man with the knife, judging from the intensity of ”Universal Energy Perception” that he was the weakest among the five!

One hand flickered with electricity as he reached forward.

The man with the knife flashed a fierce look in his eyes and turned to chop at Su Huan’s hand.

But Su Huan didn’t advance at all, pointing at the opponent from three meters away; a high-voltage arc followed the rainwater directly onto the man’s chest, and his combat suit was instantly pierced by the voltage.

A furious shout came from behind, ”Die!”

Su Huan’s eyes flickered with arcs of electricity. Instead of retreating, he advanced, increasing the intensity of the current in his hand and reaching for the space in front of his forehead with his right hand.

An arrow, non-reflective, pierced through his palm, spraying a line of blood behind it.

Zhong Cheng’s angry shout was meant to cover up the sound of the arrow breaking through the air.

Even though the arrow wasn’t blocked, sacrificing a palm diverted its course, avoiding instant death by an arrow.

Su Huan’s back was fully exposed to Zhong Cheng.

Just one stick!

He was confident he could incapacitate Su Huan.

But as he prepared to move forward, his combat instincts screamed warnings.

With almost no time to think, his feet instinctively shifted to the side.

A sharp pain shot through his scapula.

The familiar feeling told him he had been hit.

His strong physique didn’t leave him numb for long; the pain feedback quickly made him realize that his bulletproof vest had been penetrated.

”Armor-piercing bullet, there’s a sniper!”

Zhong Cheng hesitated for just a moment, giving Su Huan an opportunity.

Su Huan had already collided into the man with the knife, his entire body crackling with electricity, his uninjured hand glowing red as it stabbed fiercely upward into his jaw.

His fingers pierced through flesh, ripping out the throat and most of the jaw.

Quickly grabbing the carbon fiber composite long knife, he twisted and flipped his wrist, slashing the blade backward.

It collided with Zhong Cheng’s rubber baton.

”Bang!”

Only then did the knife-wielder’s body hit the ground, splashing a circle of water.

The two split apart immediately.

The enormous force transmitted by the long knife made Su Huan’s whole hand and forearm tremble uncontrollably, yet a faint smile still hung on his face. He didn’t speak, but the expression conveyed his message clearly.

”Don’t forget about my comrades.”

Across from him, Zhong Cheng’s face was livid, his eyes fixed fiercely on Su Huan, hot blood sliding down the rubber baton, mixing with the rain.

From the beginning to the end of the encounter, it lasted only a few breaths.

Su Huan had one injured hand; the other side had one dead and one injured out of five.

The acid rain that had been falling all day was getting worse, already submerging their feet, a layer of blue ghostly light spreading out from under Su Huan’s feet.

Hardly expending any energy, a fifty-meter square electric net spread out easily.

Taking advantage of their evasive maneuvers, he ran toward the nearest engineering vehicle.

The soldier holding the Night Demon Claw tentatively lifted his foot, sensed danger, and quickly dodged sideways, a sniper bullet silently sliding past his ear, leaving a blood trail.

Zhong Cheng frowned, looking toward the train.

The muzzle of the sniper rifle on the second-floor of the second carriage was withdrawn, and the chilly feeling of being targeted finally faded.

Only those who have been aimed at by a sniper know how troublesome it is.

The defenders avoid bullets, not the ones already fired, but the sense of danger when the gun is aimed at them.

If the opponent never fires, just using the gun as a threat.

This battle would be unwinnable.

Zhong Cheng wiped the rain off his face, the rubber baton spinning in his palm.

Behind him came the sound of the archer’s rapid breathing—the fool was still trying to target the sniper on the train.

”Forget the sniper,” Zhong Cheng’s voice grated like sandpaper, ”Make sure to intercept the train first.”

As his words fell, the remaining three charged toward the engineering vehicles.

Zhong Cheng himself stood still, rain pouring down on his torn raincoat, accumulating into a pale red puddle at his feet.

…

The armored train had already been forcibly stopped by the Steel Council using various means, with several engineering vehicles surrounding the train.

Using all kinds of equipment, they approached the carriages.

The futile attacks of the two front lines finally paid off, exhausting Xiaoba’s energy completely, so there was no worry about manipulating the metal to sabotage the vehicles.

But after absorbing crystal energy all day, she should have accumulated some by now.

But it’s not to be wasted on this.

Before descending, Su Huan instructed Xiaoba not to intervene.

If the opponent still had a cannon that could fire at the unarmored front of the train engine at this time, it would be a complete disaster.

Adjusting his breathing rhythm, Su Huan used one hand to climb up to the cab of the engineering vehicle, stabbed the driver to death with a knife, kicked the body out, and finally took a breath while sitting in the driver’s seat.

Just now, he had used a long knife to take down two teams of soldiers protecting the engineering vehicles.

Even with his terrifying energy reserves, the high-intensity continuous combat was somewhat overwhelming. His internal energy had dropped to below thirty percent, and he didn’t even dare use the electromagnetic sniper rifle.

Equivalent to one Lin Jin, or one and a half Xiaobas.

No way out, the train conductor was weak except for his energy.

At this moment, the engineering vehicle beneath him was still drilling into the train with a giant electrical drill, having already created a hole over half a meter in diameter in the armor.

Su Huan looked at the array of levers on the control platform and did not haphazardly manipulate them, instead finding the steering wheel to reverse the vehicle.

The drill was moving away from the nearly shattered carriage.

The adjacent engineering vehicle was still adjusting its angle, the device resembling a rock crusher raising up, and Su Huan’s eyelids twitched. If this thing were to ”massage” the train, it would collapse on the spot.

This cannot be allowed.

He turned the vehicle, taking advantage of the opponent’s unstable center of gravity to overturn it.

Several Evolver soldiers rushed over, one with a rather unique ability—a stream of air shot fiercely towards Su Huan’s eyes.

Had it not been for the intense energy reaction, he’d have been pierced to death on the spot.

Su Huan kicked open the door, pulled out two grenades from his bosom, and tossed them out.

Looking up, two more people clung to the right-side glass, glaring at him fiercely, with one of them crackling with electricity.

A strong tingling sensation transmitted from the surrounding metal.

Another Power Supplier, but unfortunately not at an evolved tier level.

The energy conversion efficiency is too low; even a full-power output has little impact on Su Huan. With his current resistance to lightning, grabbing a socket barehanded would barely serve as a refresher.

To truly control him forcefully, at least an evolved tier level was needed.

But if the two sides were discharging at each other, who knows who would control whom.

”No rush, the train conductor has plenty of tricks up his sleeve!”

Su Huan tugged at the corner of his mouth, just like appeasing a child, tossing candies out the window along with two more hand grenades.

Aiming for a wish fulfillment.

This was the train conductor’s close-quarters secondary weapon.

”Bang, bang, bang...”

The explosion drafts lifted his long hair, revealing those gradually deranged eyes. The engineering vehicle ran over various human silhouettes on the ground, continuing to charge at the next one.

”Boom—”

The 300-ton mining truck was directly flipped on its side by this savage and fierce force, sparks flying from the friction between the steel frame and the ground.

The searchlight on the truck roof cut a pale arc in the rain, like a guillotine blade, swung toward the charging Zhong Cheng.

Zhong Cheng stepped back half a pace, switching the rubber baton to his uninjured hand, drawing a semicircle in front of him.

”Bang!”
