Alchemy Master

Chapter 464, Zhao Yaorou in Trouble

Qin Yichen certainly was not a reckless person. Directly confronting the Northern Depths Sect would offer no chance of victory. Unless, of course, he brought out the Gongshu Clan or the Lu Clan.

However, that was unrealistic. Unless absolutely necessary, Qin Yichen did not even want to expose Gongshu Zhiyi and Lu Xiaoguan’s strength.

However, now that they had been exposed, there was no need to continue hiding. Just as he was preparing to face the storm from the Northern Depths Sect, he discovered that while powerful members of the Northern Depths Sect had occasionally appeared nearby before, in the past few days, not even a single scout could be seen.

The Northern Depths Sect’s unusual behaviour caused a slight smile to form at the corner of Qin Yichen’s lips. In his previous life, he had stayed in this region for a long time and naturally had some understanding of the Forces in this area. So, he certainly knew what the Northern Depths Sect feared.

Qin Yichen originally did not want to pursue a concession out of the Northern Depths Sect, but another incident made him change his mind.

“What? Miss Zhao is imprisoned in the Xiang Family!?” Looking at the Zhao Family messenger before him, Qin Yichen abruptly stood up, his hands unconsciously clenching into fists. [Damn it! Zhao Yaorou is in trouble.]

“Yes, no one anticipated this…”

From the Zhao Family messenger’s words, Qin Yichen learned what had happened.

After their previous setback, the Xiang Family had not given up.

Before Zhao Yaorou had entered the Ten Corner Alchemy Manor, she had been tricked by an Alchemy Master from the Ten Corner Alchemy Manor, who had been bribed by the Xiang Family.

Using this Alchemy Master, they had lured her to leave the Zhao Family Residence.

This happened during the period when Qin Yichen was being hunted by the Northern Depths Sect. Although Zhao Yaorou had been waiting to enter the Ten Corner Alchemy Manor, she had been constantly concerned about Qin Yichen’s safety.

The Alchemy Master easily deceived the panicked Zhao Yaorou by claiming that Qin Yichen was injured.

Of course, the Xiang Family did not have the ability to bribe an Alchemy Master from the Ten Corner Alchemy Manor. Alchemy Masters were all proud, especially those who could enter the Ten Corner Alchemy Manor.

Upon Qin Yichen’s questioning, he learned that a Xiang Family member, who had been accepted as a disciple by a Deacon from the Northern Depths Sect, had returned after learning about the Xiang Family’s situation.

“The Xiang Family is too oppressive. They invited a Deacon from the Northern Depths Sect to oversee their Family, and now they’re forcing our Young Mistress to marry Xiang Zidi. They intend to swallow up our Zhao Family…” As the Zhao Family messenger spoke to this point, Qin Yichen could no longer remain seated.

Zhao Yaorou was in trouble. He absolutely could not stand idly by!

Last time, he did not have the strength to destroy the Xiang Family, but now he was no longer the same person he was several months ago. Moreover, he had Gongshu Zhiyi and Lu Xiaoguan with him. These two were powerful in battle. He was not concerned about a mere Deacon, even if he was an Elder.

…

In Positively Tranquil City. The previous storm had just passed, and no one expected the Xiang Family to return with such force. With a Deacon from the Northern Depths Sect overseeing them. Right now, the Zhao Family did not dare to act rashly.

That was until a message spread from the Xiang Family…

“Young Master Xiang Zidi of the Xiang Family will marry Miss Zhao Yaorou of the Zhao Family on an auspicious day four days from now…” Upon hearing this message from the Xiang Family, the Zhao Family realised that Zhao Yaorou was in trouble.

However, the Zhao Family was already struggling to protect themselves, let alone rescue Zhao Yaorou. The wedding invitations from the Xiang Family were distributed to all Major Forces in Positively Tranquil City, ordering all Forces to prepare wedding gifts and attend this Xiang Family wedding.

What the Xiang Family wanted to do was as clear as a mirror in everyone’s hearts. But no one, no Force dared to stand up and resist. That Deacon from the Northern Depths Sect was like a mountain pressing down on their heads, making it difficult for them to breathe.

When Qin Yichen’s group of four arrived at the gate of Positively Tranquil City, they immediately noticed some changes inside and outside the city.

First were the guards at the city gate. They were not Positively Tranquil City’s guards, nor were they Xiang Family guards, but people from the Northern Depths Sect. They all wore uniform attire, each with a cold aura, arrogant expressions. They imperiously inspected the passing crowds. Whether entering or leaving the city, everyone had to be searched by them. Any items they fancied, they would take, and the slightest resistance would be met with violence. As a result, there were clearly few travellers at the gate of Positively Tranquil City, and those present were dressed simply, not daring to carry much wealth.

“Let me go, let me go! Daddy! Save me…”

Just as they were observing, a pitiful cry came from the city gate. A young maiden was being carried into the city by someone wearing Northern Depths Sect attire, while at the gate, a middle-aged man who looked like a merchant was pleading with several guards. However, he was kicked down.

“Don’t be ungrateful, don’t you know who we are? It’s your good fortune that we fancy your Daughter!” A person wearing Northern Depths Sect attire berated him, while his companions all wore malicious smiles on their faces.

“Old Quan, be gentle, don’t kill her too quickly. Us Brothers need to have some fun too…”

They completely disregarded the middle-aged merchant’s feelings and called out to the person carrying the young maiden.

They seemed accustomed to this, or rather, this was not the first time they had done such things. Unfortunately, this merchant was not aware of these changes in Positively Tranquil City. Otherwise, he would never have come here. And now, with his Daughter abducted and his possessions plundered… his life was left in darkness.

“This is too outrageous!” Just as Qin Yichen was about to step forward, Gongshu Zhiyi beside him had already rushed out.

“Put that girl down, or I won’t be polite!” Gongshu Zhiyi’s pretty face was filled with anger as she blocked the man carrying the young maiden.

“Where did you…” The man was about to curse, but after seeing the beauty before him clearly, his eyes were immediately filled with lustful light.

The young maiden he was carrying could at most be described as pretty, but the girl before him was a rare beauty, comparable to one that could dim the Moon and shame the flowers.

“I can let her go, of course. But Little Sister, you’ll have to accompany me inside for some fun…” He chuckled and put down the young maiden, then eagerly reached for Gongshu Zhiyi’s hand.

Blinded by lust, he completely failed to notice that a bird was standing on Gongshu Zhiyi’s shoulder, coldly staring at him. Of course, the main reason was that he and his companions believed that in such a small place, no one would dare to resist them, let alone take action.

“Despicable bastard!” A cold light flashed in Gongshu Zhiyi’s eyes as she snorted lightly, and Xiao Huang on her shoulder flew at the man.

“Ah!…” With a scream, the man flew backwards with a splash of blood on his chest, falling beside his companions.
