Alchemy Master

Chapter 453, For the Lu Clan

“From now on, Qin Yichen shall be your Senior Brother. You must listen to everything he says. It concerns the prosperity of our Lu Clan. Don’t cause any trouble for me!” Lu Yongzhi’s voice was heavy, his face solemn. He knew his Son’s temperament all too well.

Of course, this was also because, from a young age, Lu Xiaoguan had never disappointed him when it came to talent. So, in truth, the reason why Lu Xiaoguan had developed such an arrogant and domineering personality was due to his indulgence.

“What!?” Lu Xiaoguan’s eyes widened, and he shook his head repeatedly, saying, “I am the strongest amongst our Lu Clan’s younger generation. You want me to follow that inexperienced boy, and even respect him as my Senior Brother? I’d rather die!”

His face showed a determination to never comply!

“You are the strongest?” Lu Yongzhi glared at him. “Perhaps I might have agreed, but now Gongshu Zhiyi has talent that surpasses yours by a mile. Gongshu Cangyou’s strength has also greatly improved. Do you know who is responsible for all these changes?”

Lu Xiaoguan was utterly shocked, his arrogant attitude somewhat subdued. He trembled as he asked, “Could it be… could it be because of Qin Yichen?”

Lu Yongzhi took a deep breath, his eyes showing a trace of hesitation, and he softly said, “Yes, he is the owner of the Master Craftsman’s Hammer. He is the current Sect Master of the Lu Ban Sect. The Gongshu Clan has gained an opportunity because of him, and his understanding of the Dao of Crafting has long surpassed mine… Such a prodigious existence, what do you think he represents?”

“What does he represent?” Lu Xiaoguan’s face turned somewhat pale.

“It means that given time, he will gather all us Lu Ban’s Descendants, not just the Gongshu Clan, but the Lu Clan, and even the Ban Clan… By then, he will surely become the new Master leading us, and we must not forget that he has accomplished so much when he is still so young…”

Lu Yongzhi found his voice becoming hoarse. After a while, he regained the dignity and authority befitting that of a Patriarch.

“I want you to immediately leave with Qin Yichen and Gongshu Zhiyi… That’s all I have to say. You know what to do. Don’t disappoint me again…”

Lu Yongzhi turned to leave. Just as he was about to push open the door, he formally added, “Get ready. Our Clan’s warship will take you out soon enough. I will wait for your return, the day you lead the Lu Clan to glory!”

“Father!” Lu Xiaoguan gazed at his Father’s back, his eyes flickering. After a while, his hands clenched into fists, and he gritted his teeth, saying, “Fine, for the Lu Clan!”

“For the Lu Clan!”

At that moment, on the slope leading up to the top of Green Orchid Peak, beneath a massive floating warship, the Lu Clan members looked up at their Young Master on the ship. They pounded their chests with their right hands and shouted in unison.

Qin Yichen, on the warship, looked at the Gongshu Clan on Green Orchid Peak and the Lu Clan members who seemed to be bidding farewell to ‘warriors going to their deaths’. A barely perceptible smile curved at the corner of his mouth.

“Is it already time to leave?” Qin Yichen’s spirit stirred, feeling somewhat impatient.

He had inherited Gongshu Gumin’s powerful legacy in the Gongshu Clan, and even had two young prodigies with considerable achievements in the Dao of Crafting by his side.

As the owner of the Master Craftsman’s Hammer, it was time to let them see the Crafting Techniques passed down from the Peerless Master, Master Lu Ban.

[It is time for some legends to begin a new chapter. Puppets comparable to ancient experts, mechanical beasts rivalling Demonic Beasts…] Qin Yichen could not help but feel excited. In this life, such a powerful Force was in his hands.

“Brother Yichen, take good care of Gongshu Zhiyi. I will be waiting for your return…” Once the warship was activated, Gongshu Cangyou raised his head to call out.

“Sect Master, I entrust my unfilial Son to you. My boy is tough. You know what to do!” Lu Yongzhi also shouted loudly, his heart strangely filled with expectation.

He expected that his choice was not wrong.

“Are you really my Father!?” Lu Xiaoguan, who was also on the warship, had even managed to squeeze out a few tears. Whether they were tears of joy or sadness, who knows?

“I’m so happy, I can finally go out and play. Brother Yichen, you promised to show me around, okay?” Gongshu Zhiyi had an attitude that feared nothing.

“Playing is fine, but don’t cause me any trouble, or don’t blame me for being harsh!” Qin Yichen’s hand trembled, his expression deliberately stern.

“I know!” Gongshu Zhiyi pouted, sticking out her tongue at Qin Yichen.

This scene made Lu Xiaoguan’s mouth twitch.

The arranged marriage between the Lu Clan and the Gongshu Clan had now turned into his Father acknowledging the new Sect Master, and sending him into the tiger’s mouth… Now, he was beginning to wonder if he was truly his Father’s Biological Son…

*Boom!* With a thunderous sound, the warship carrying Qin Yichen and the other two disappeared into the horizon under the gaze of the Gongshu Clan and Lu Clan members.

After leaving Jade Cloud Mountain, Qin Yichen did not return to Jade Cloud City but piloted the warship for over a hundred kilometres. Only when he saw the outline of a city did he slowly stop.

“Let’s go there first.” Qin Yichen pointed to the city below and calmly stated.

He had spent about two months with the Gongshu Clan, and he needed to find a place to gather information on whether the Northern Depths Sect was still searching for him.

After all, he had killed a Core Disciple. It was absolutely impossible for the Northern Depths Sect to have no reaction.

Killing a Core Disciple was essentially equivalent to challenging the Sect’s prestige.

“Yay! Great! We can go out and play!” Gongshu Zhiyi, whose eyes had long been flashing with excitement, jumped up from the warship upon hearing his words. She summoned out a wooden bird, and flew towards the city below.

Seeing this, Lu Xiaoguan reluctantly cupped his hands towards Qin Yichen, then leapt out, closely following Gongshu Zhiyi.

“These two…” Looking at their actions, without any attempt at concealment, Qin Yichen could not help but massage his temples, feeling a headache coming on. Fortunately, the warship could be shrunk at will. He quickly stored the warship in his Space Ring and hurriedly followed Gongshu Zhiyi and Lu Xiaoguan.

…

Cloud Forest City was only considered a Third Tier city in this region. However, due to its location, it was bustling with people coming and going.

Most of the people in Cloud Forest City were merchants and mercenaries. At this moment, among the flow of people on the street, there were three figures who stood out distinctly from the rest.

These three were all extremely young, and they seemed to follow the lead of the young man in the middle, with one male and one female behind him, both appearing a few years younger than him.

These three were Qin Yichen, Gongshu Zhiyi, and Lu Xiaoguan.

Due to Qin Yichen’s request, the three had landed in a secluded place outside the city and then walked in, which made Gongshu Zhiyi complain about the inconvenience.

However, under the threat of being sent back if she did not listen to him, she could only puff up her cheeks in anger and go along with it.

After entering the city, Gongshu Zhiyi’s eyes never rested for a moment. She curiously surveyed everything around her, constantly asking Qin Yichen questions.
