Alchemy Master

Chapter 451, Young Sect Master

It was only at this moment that Lu Yongzhi finally understood the identity of the young man standing beside Gongshu Zhiyi.

[The one who possesses the Master Craftsman’s Hammer, must be the one who has received Master Lu Ban’s Inheritance…] Despite having weathered many storms, Lu Yongzhi could not conceal the excitement in his heart.

The Master Craftsman’s Hammer was not simply a forging hammer. It represented the supreme glory and authority of the Lu Ban Sect!

None of Lu Ban’s Descendants would dare deny the influence of the Master Craftsman’s Hammer, nor dare to disobey the will of its owner. This was the ancestral precept of Lu Ban’s Descendants, which no one could defy.

“Lu Yongzhi, Patriarch of the Lu Clan of Lu Ban’s Descendants, pays respects to the Sect Master!”

There was no longer any trace of anger in Lu Yongzhi’s heart. In his eyes, there was only absolute loyalty and fervour.

The deeper one’s understanding of the Dao of Crafting, the more one comprehended the terrifying crafting abilities demonstrated by the owner of the Master Craftsman’s Hammer. The ancestral teachings of Lu Ban’s Descendants clearly stated that only when the Sect Master emerged would they be led towards the pinnacle of the Dao of Crafting.

Lu Yongzhi had become the Patriarch of the Lu Clan not only due to his aptitude in the Dao of Crafting, but more importantly, his ability to assess situations, help the Lu Clan avoid crises, steadily rise, and establish good relations with the most powerful Gongshu Clan among Lu Ban’s Descendants.

Therefore, without much thought, he understood why the members of the Gongshu Clan had experienced such significant increases in their Spiritual Energy cultivation, and even old Gongshu Cangyou had advanced to the next level. It was undoubtedly due to the young man before him.

Lu Yongzhi pledged his allegiance decisively, even lowering his status by kneeling on one knee before Qin Yichen in front of members of both the Gongshu Clan and the Lu Clan.

A flash of surprise crossed Gongshu Cangyou’s deep eyes.

It seemed that Gongshu Yushan was inferior to Lu Yongzhi Lu Yongzhi’s courage and decisiveness alone, to the extent of forgetting the grudge of his Son, Lu Xiaoguan, being beaten, was enough to prove he was no ordinary person.

“The Lu Clan pays respects to the Sect Master!”

The unified greeting of the Lu Clan members immediately echoed throughout Green Orchid Peak, even stirring excitement in the hearts of those from the Gongshu Clan, who had come to welcome them.

There was a time when they had longed for Lu Ban’s Descendants to reunite, work together, and achieve greatness.

Now, they finally saw a glimmer of hope.

And the current hope was the young man with a slight curve at the corner of his mouth, the one who had brought them countless surprises and miracles—Qin Yichen.

When the dazed Lu Xiaoguan regained consciousness and saw his Father and Clan members kneeling before his ‘love rival’, his mind went ‘boom’. His breathing faltered, and he fainted again.

“Useless thing!” Lu Yongzhi glanced at his Son who had fainted again, his brows slightly furrowed in great disappointment.

“Please rise, everyone. You are all elites of the Lu Ban Sect, while I am merely a Junior who cannot bear such a heavy responsibility!”

Qin Yichen raised his hand, and all members of the Lu Clan stood up.

In truth, he had underestimated the influence of the Master Craftsman’s Hammer among Lu Ban’s Descendants.

“The possessor of the Master Craftsman’s Hammer is the Sect Master of Lu Ban Sect. This is a thousand-year-old ancestral precept that we dare not disobey!” Lu Yongzhi firmly said.

For the Lu Clan, eager to expand, nothing was better than the appearance of a Sect Master.

Only by being the first to pledge absolute loyalty would they benefit in the future, whether from the unique forging methods contained within the Master Craftsman’s Hammer or from their elevated position in the Sect Master’s heart.

Though Qin Yichen’s face showed a flattered expression, he could not help but inwardly praise.

The Lu Clan had arrived at just the right time. Otherwise, to be truly recognised by the other Descendants might have taken forever. In fact, the other Descendants might choose not to follow his lead.

Now, with the Lu Clan’s allegiance and his subtle relationship with the Gongshu Clan, this would provide significant assistance for his future goals.

“Lu Yongzhi, do you still wish to fight?” Gongshu Cangyou’s amused voice sounded.

“Brother Gongshu is mocking me!” Lu Yongzhi’s face reddened slightly. With a wave of his hand and a smile, he said proudly, “Our two Clans have always been close, and before us stands our Sect Master. How dare I cause any trouble?”

“And about your Son then…” Qin Yichen stared meaningfully at Lu Yongzhi.

If this matter was not handled properly, it could lead to enmity. He did not want his own people to stab him in the back in the future.

The experienced Lu Yongzhi could hear the meaning in his words and quickly said, “The Sect Master disciplined him well. It is my unworthy Son’s honour. I would be delighted if the Sect Master could discipline him further to temper his lawless nature.”

“Well said, well said!” Qin Yichen could not help but smile. [Lu Yongzhi is indeed an interesting man. Once he decided on something, not even a hundred oxen can pull him back!]

Afterwards, at the invitation of the Gongshu Clan, Lu Yongzhi accompanied Qin Yichen to the Gongshu Clan’s reception hall, where he summoned the courage to ask some questions about the Dao of Crafting.

When Qin Yichen demonstrated his knowledge of the Dao of Crafting, using Lu Ban’s Inheritance he had received plus the knowledge from the Remnant Soul of Gongshu Gumin, he deeply impressed Lu Yongzhi. His title of Sect Master was certainly not undeserved.

Similarly, Gongshu Cangyou and Gongshu Yushan also benefited greatly from this discussion and were reluctant for it to end.

The ignored Gongshu Zhiyi on the side appeared sullen, pouting, and looking displeased with everyone except when gazing at the eloquent Qin Yichen. Whenever she saw him, her beautiful eyes flickered with a hint of pink.

“May I ask what the Sect Master thinks about the current state of the Lu Ban Sect?” Finally, after contemplating for a long time, Lu Yongzhi could not help but express the thoughts in his heart.

“My thoughts?” Qin Yichen looked at him somewhat puzzled.

“Once, our Lu Ban Sect was glorious, with a hundred schools of thought contending. Now, fewer than ten Clans remain… This is the price of isolating ourselves!”

Lu Yongzhi’s words became very sombre, then he suggested, “I believe it’s time to emerge from isolation!”

With the disappearance of Lu Ban Sect, the various Descendants had been left leaderless, hence their withdrawal from the world.

Although the Lu Clan had developed exceptionally well under his leadership in recent years, for them with limited resources, the outside world had become the fastest path to redevelop. Only through experiencing the outside world could the Clans become stronger.

Indeed, the Dao of Crafting of the Lu Ban Sect would certainly shine brilliantly across the continent.

Qin Yichen did not respond immediately, but his gaze fell upon the Patriarch of the Gongshu Clan, Gongshu Yushan.

What could be certain was that Lu Yongzhi was a man eager for the Lu Clan to become powerful, and was very progressive in his thinking. He had likely left the territory in his early years and witnessed the outside world. Thus, he knew with certainty that if things continued this way, Lu Ban Sect would truly vanish in the annals of history.
