Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 845, Xiao Ye, Try Out Your Skills

“A Boss!?” The soldier who had stopped Lu Fan’s eyes instantly widened to the size of saucers, his entire body trembling slightly.

For others, this place was an excellent Levelling Up sanctuary. But for these soldiers, this was a battlefield! No soldier would hope for such a terrifying existence to appear on the battlefield.

After all, once such an existence appeared, it meant casualties would inevitably follow. Moreover, there were far too many Players, still students, who had come here to train. They were Dragon Country’s future hope, their value even exceeding ten ordinary soldiers!

Since these people had come, the soldiers had to do their utmost to protect their safety, even at the cost of their own lives. Therefore, when such a powerful Boss appeared, those most troubled were inevitably the soldiers stationed here.

He immediately tensed up completely, unable to waste any more time on Lu Fan.

“Did you see that? A Boss has arrived here! You need to take your friend and leave this place at once. Go as far away as possible. At the very least, you should return to the city. Right now, even the outpost isn’t safe!”

“I need to go back and request for reinforcements, and organise personnel to evacuate. I can’t spare much attention for you. So, don’t cause yourself more trouble. Just quickly leave!”

With that, he immediately mounted his Sky Mount and took to the air while shouting. “A Boss has arrived! Players on the frontlines, evacuate at once! Soldiers with Tank Professions, hold the line! Buy the Players time to retreat! As for those at the outpost, request reinforcements! Find Fourth Profession Players or higher to help eliminate the Boss!”

In an instant, chaos erupted.

The frontline Players naturally would not joke with their own lives. They all knew that the Monsters here were Level 80 or above, then a Boss’ Level was at least Level 90 or higher.

A Level 90 Boss, even if it was just a Gold Grade Boss, would be more than enough to wipe them all out with ease.

For an existence of this level, Dragon Country would need at least a general to come and eliminate it.

Inside the outpost, several soldiers also rushed out carrying shields, forming a stark contrast with the retreating crowd.

They were going to use their own bodies as shields, to resist the Boss and other Monsters, protecting everyone’s safety  and even the outpost itself. After all, just establishing one outpost required a ton of materials and manpower.

The two streams of people crossed paths, further highlighting the courage and valour of the soldiers.

However, in the face of massive differences in strength, valour was not necessarily a good thing.

That Snow Woman was far larger than ordinary Snow Women, its entire body wrapped in blue whirlwind-like Magic, clearly extraordinary at first glance.

It spread its wings, covering the sky and blocking out the Sun, and wherever it passed brought wind and snow together.

Such powerful Ice Element Skills was something ordinary people probably would not even have time to approach before being directly Frozen, let alone have a chance to battle it.

The soldiers charging forward were no different from committing suicide; at most they could delay the situation here for a short while.

Witnessing such a scene, Lu Fan held considerable respect for these soldiers.

It was precisely because these soldiers existed that Dragon Country, after the Ancient Gods appeared, could still keep standing, and the Ancient Gods’ influence had been limited to outside the borders of the Far North, rather than descending into chaos like Star Strip Country had.

“Xiao Ye,” Lu Fan naturally could not watch these people sacrifice themselves with his own eyes. He glanced back at Xiao Ye and smiled. “Let’s go. I just checked, it’s a Level 100 Platinum Grade Boss. It is perfect as your whetstone. Come, use the Skills you’ve just learnt. I want to see how powerful they are.”

Xiao Ye naturally understood Lu Fan’s words and nodded, uttering a single word from her mouth. “Okay.”

This both surprised and delighted Lu Fan, because Xiao Ye’s progress was truly rapid. Now, she could actually say vocabulary other than ‘Pa Pa’.

Although it was just the word ‘okay’, this was an excellent beginning.

Right now, Lu Fan truly had the feeling of an old Father watching his Daughter learn to speak.

After saying this word ‘okay’, Xiao Ye took two steps forward, coming before Lu Fan, and looked towards the distant approaching Boss.

In her eyes, two clusters of flames rose, while simultaneously, wisps of tiny flame threads began to seep out from the pores of her skin, wrapping around her.

In an instant, Xiao Ye’s entire body was covered by a dark red flame. Calling it flame was strange as well. After all, standing beside her, Lu Fan did not sense any temperature change at all. Also, the flames appeared to be semi-transparent, like merely a cluster of shadows, not truly real flame.

It seemed this flame was merely a denotation, with Xiao Ye using this flame to denote where some remarkable existence would appear.

Xiao Ye extended her hand and lightly flicked it. A thumb-sized ball of flame shot out, instantly landing on the Snow Woman’s body.

This movement was far too minute. Only Lu Fan, who had been watching Xiao Ye’s actions the entire time, noticed it.

The others, including the soldiers and the Snow Woman itself, were unaware of this flame’s arrival.

However, in the next second, the originally wind-and-snow-filled sky suddenly turned completely red. The thick, impenetrable cloud layer melted rapidly like ice meeting magma, dispersing immediately.

In the sky, a massive meteor carrying an unstoppable momentum was falling towards the Snow Woman!

Such a sight was like a natural disaster!

Naturally, this commotion was caught by everyone.

Never mind the soldiers and Players present, even people at other outposts several kilometres away could see a meteor directly falling.

“What… What is this!?” The soldiers, one after another, all stood dumbstruck, halting their steps, not daring to advance further.

Because they could see this meteor was heading for the Snow Woman Boss.

If they continued charging forward, they feared they would be caught up in the disaster too.

The leader of the outpost was currently also riding his Sky Mount, hovering in mid-air. His face was continuously illuminated fiery red by the descending meteor, revealing an expression full of shock and stupefaction.

“What… What is this?! Could it be that a Fourth Profession expert has come to support us?”

“No, even someone in the Fourth Profession would not be able to unleash such a terrifying Skill…”

Under everyone’s astonished gazes, this meteor precisely struck the Snow Woman’s body.

Although the Snow Woman’s body was massive, compared to the meteor, it was still far too small.

Instantly, the meteor completely crushed the figure beneath it, causing it to disappear into wreckage.
