Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 347, The Seventh Pet Dragon Has Been Found

Naturally, while Shadow Isle Essence had a low drop rate, it did drop.

When Andrei’s group first went to Shadow Isle, they killed nearly a hundred Monsters. However, they only obtained three Shadow Isle Essence.

At that time, Andrei did not know what Shadow Isle Essence was used for, so he just collected it as material.

Later, when they started having casualties, they felt that even with three Fourth Profession Players, it would be very difficult to reach the depths of Shadow Isle to destroy the Shadow Spring Core. Thus, they had to retreat to their Family in Feather Country.

It was only later that Andrei learned how Lu Fan was very publicly collecting Shadow Isle Essence. Once he found out, he discussed with his Family and decided to come talk to Lu Fan about this matter, hoping to cooperate with him.

Feather Country knew how strong Lu Fan was from Andrei. They also knew that his Pet Dragons were Immune to all Debuff Effects.

With this trait, Lu Fan’s Pet Dragons could counter the Effects of Shadow Isle’s terrain.

If Lu Fan could help assist Andrei’s group in exploring Shadow Isle together, then Andrei’s chances of completing the Mission would be higher.

Coincidentally, Andrei and Lu Fan had already formed a Brotherly bond, so he personally came to discuss potential cooperation.

Going to Shadow Isle, Lu Fan could find the Shadow Isle Essence he needed, and Andrei could complete this Epic Grade Mission for the Rewards. It was a win-win situation.

Andrei even showed his sincerity upfront, saying that as long as Lu Fan could help complete this Mission, they were willing to share some of the Mission Rewards with him.

After all, Lu Fan was very important to Dragon Country. When he was trapped in Extremistis Country before, Dragon Country had sent the Griffin Legion to breach the borders just to rescue him. Having good relations with Lu Fan would definitely be beneficial for Andrei in many ways, so sharing some of the Rewards would not be a problem.

After Andrei explained his goals, Lu Fan fell into brief contemplation.

Through Andrei’s description of Shadow Isle, Lu Fan had basically confirmed that another material needed for the Shadow Dragon King Contract, Shadow Spring Water, It must be at the centre of Shadow Isle. Its core was exactly what Andrei’s Mission required them to destroy.

By going to Shadow Isle, they should be able to find both Shadow Isle Essence and Shadow Spring Water. As for what Shadow Crown was, Lu Fan still did not know.

Presumably, it should also be found somewhere on Shadow Isle or from some Monster.

Andrei’s visit had brought Lu Fan excellent news. This trip to Shadow Isle would, barring any accidents, allow Lu Fan to gather all materials needed to craft the Shadow Dragon King Contract Scroll. This would enable him to successfully obtain his seventh Pet Dragon!

Lu Fan naturally had no reason to refuse Andrei.

So Lu Fan smiled and said: “So that’s how it is… In short, Brother, we should team up and go to Shadow Isle together. Firstly to help you complete your Mission, and secondly to help me collect my needed materials, right?”

“Exactly!” Andrei grinned, “After we succeed, my Family will reward you generously.”

Lu Fan nodded and said: “Since you’re the one asking, Brother, I certainly have no objections. I indeed have the interest to go to Shadow Isle. But I still have some questions: where is Shadow Isle? How do we get there? How many days will it take?”

Since Lu Fan had already agreed to it, Andrei was overjoyed and shared his Mission Panel for Lu Fan to see.

His Mission Panel clearly marked Shadow Isle’s location.

Andrei pointed at the Mission Panel and said. “Look here, Brother Lu, this is Shadow Isle. It’s located in an unexplored region in Feather Country’s eastern waters. It is relatively close to our country. Of course, you don’t need to worry about your safety. Though it is thousands of kilometres away from Dragon Country and closer to Feather Country, we’ll never do something like what Extremistis Country did.”

“After all, if you were to cause trouble in Feather Country, we would not be able to handle it.” Andrei made this joke clearly because although Dragon Country strongly denied that they had anything to do with the chaos in Extremistis Country, he knew about Lu Fan’s Skills. He naturally knew Lu Fan was the one who caused all that chaos.

After joking, Andrei continued pointing at a spot on Feather Country’s coastline. “This is our country’s largest port, Breaking Waves Port. We can take a warship from here and head to Shadow Isle. Based on the distance, if we don’t encounter any extreme weather, we should reach Shadow Isle by the end of tomorrow.”

“If you’re willing to come with me to Shadow Isle, my Family can help arrange the Transport Array. This way, we can let you directly teleport to Breaking Waves Port, bypassing the need to cross the borders. Moreover, our Family will cover all travel expenses. You won’t need to worry about anything.”

Lu Fan nodded and said. “If we take the Transport Array to Feather Country, that would save a lot of time. This way, we should reach Shadow Isle within a week, right?”

Andrei said. “Yes, it’ll take a week at most.”

After a pause, Andrei added. “But, from the outer region of Shadow Isle, actually reaching its shore might take another day. There is just no helping it. Because Shadow Isle is a cursed island, surrounded by whirlpools and extreme weather.”

“The positions of the whirlpools and weather conditions  keep changing. Without my Mission, it would have been impossible to find the correct route to land. In fact, even with the Mission Guide, warships can barely move in that extreme weather. So, we would need to slowly advance toward Shadow Isle. In fact, taking a day already is considered quick.”

Andrei seemed to recall his experiences entering and leaving the island. He could not help but sigh: “Shadow Isle’s terrain is truly frightening. You’ll understand when you see it.”

“Haha!” Lu Fan laughed, “After hearing you personally describe it, I really want to see Shadow Isle.”

Andrei grinned and said: “Then I’ll head back right away to make the necessary arrangements. Once the Transport Array is built, I’ll send someone with a Teleportation Scroll. You can then use the Transport Array to reach Feather Country. I’ll be waiting for you at Breaking Waves Port. When we return from Shadow Isle, I’ll properly fulfill my duties as host and treat you well!”

“Great!” Lu Fan laughed heartily, reaching an agreement with Andrei.

…

Meanwhile, at Dragon Capital University.

“Wow… that guy is so handsome…”

“Yeah, and he is wearing a long robe. Hey, isn’t that our country’s ancient clothing? Almost nobody wears that nowadays. It looks strange, but it really suits him for some reason!”

“Well, it’s all about the face. He has the look of an ancient noble Young Master, so of course those clothes look good on him.”

“He is just too handsome! I wonder if he has a girlfriend… Oh yeah, is he from Dragon Capital University? What Facility is he in? I’ve never seen him before.”

“Maybe he’s a new teacher? I haven’t seen him either…”

Loong Xing wore a long robe and lightly fanned himself with a folding fan. Naturally he strutted on while ignoring the stunned gazes and whispers around him. In his eyes, there was an invisible red thread that only he could see, extending forward and pointing directly to the villa where Lu Fan was.

“Ye Wuxian, do you think you can escape your reckoning by hiding in Dragon Capital University?” Loong Xing smiled, strolling at an unhurried pace.
