Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 342, The Principal’s Identity

Translator: Silavin

What Lu Fan held in his hand was naturally the necklace made of Never-Melting Ice. This necklace was crafted by the old blacksmith in the Griffin Legion, and was particularly exquisite.

The Principal took one look at the necklace and naturally recognised it to be made up of Never-Melting Ice. She was momentarily stunned.

She immediately questioned. “What are you talking about? When did I ask you to bring me a gift?”

Lu Fan smiled and said. “Senior Sister, stop pretending. I’m not stupid. You might be able to fool me for a while, but not forever. Do you want this necklace or not? If not, I can give it to my Auntie later.”

After a full three seconds of silence, the Principal gave a light chuckle.

However, this laugh was no longer ethereal and ambiguous like before, which made it impossible to distinguish between male and female.

The Principal used her real voice this time, a voice Lu Fan naturally knew extremely well. It was the voice of his Senior Sister, Ye Wuxian.

“You dare give my gift to someone else!?” She reached out her hand, took the necklace, and simultaneously removed her Mage Robe, tossing it aside.

Instantly, the chaotic mist on her face dissipated, revealing Ye Wuxian’s delicate and beautiful face. There was a hint of playfulness written on it.

That Mage Robe was just a simple Silver Grade Equipment that Ye Wuxian used to conceal her face and figure.

Now that Lu Fan had seen through her identity, she naturally had no need for the Mage Robe anymore.

Currently, what Ye Wuxian wore was Cloth Armour. It was obviously more form-fitting than a Mage’s Cloth Armour. It was clearly designed to allow Players to move more agilely.

This Equipment Set was likely custom-made for Ye Wuxian by a master craftsman. Though the defense it provided might not match Flexible Armour, at most somewhere between Flexible Armour and Cloth Armour, it clearly suited Ye Wuxian’s Profession Characteristics better.

More importantly, it accentuated Ye Wuxian’s figure.

Ye Wuxian caressed the Never-Melting Ice pendant on the necklace, her eyes clearly sparkling with delight.

She unhesitatingly put it on, looked down at the pendant, then glanced at Lu Fan, playfully complaining.”By the way, how did you know I was the Principal?”

“I’m not stupid!” Lu Fan smiled, “You said you were a teacher, and I’ve been around Dragon Capital University for so long yet I’ve never seen you anywhere else. Even with the University’s numerous teachers and teaching assistants, it’s impossible to never run into each other even once. In the whole school, the Principal is the most mysterious person there is. What’s more, no one knows what the Principal looks like.”

“Since you’re so strong, it was not impossible for you to be the Principal. Aside from being so young and beautiful, when one thinks over it carefully, they would begin to suspect something, you know?”

After a pause, Lu Fan continued. “Moreover, after returning from the Far North, the Principal left the University for their own personal business. At the same time, Sister Du said that Senior Sister had some Family matters to handle. The probability of two people having matters to attend to, and leaving Dragon Capital University at the same time, is not high. Since the both of you have never appeared together, I could boldly guess that you two are actually the same person.”

“Not bad!” Ye Wuxian’s eyes curved like crescents as she smiled, “I didn’t expect that even though I appeared as a Mage when I’m the Principal, and showed myself as a Close Combat Profession Player in front of you, you still could guess that I was the Principal.”

Lu Fan scratched his head and smiled. “Actually, this was the thing that had me stumped for a while. At first, I couldn’t be sure you and the Principal were the same person, after all, one was a Mage, while the other seemed like a Warrior. But later, after seeing Charles in the National Trial, I suddenly understood. The Warrior and Mage Type Professions are not actually contradictory. After all, if even a Battle Priest Hidden Profession can exist, then a Battle Mage would not be strange.”

“Moreover…” Lu Fan deliberately drew out the word, smiling mysteriously. “After having the idea that you two were the same person, I secretly verified it just now, and finally confirmed that Senior Sister is the Principal!”

“Verify? How did you verify?” She became curious too.

Lu Fan leaned forward, sniffed hard, and smirked. “It’s the fragrance. Senior Sister, you have a unique fragrance. I first smelled it when I carried you back from the Prosperous Heaven Auction House. Before knowing you were the Principal, I always kept a respectful distance from the Principal. So, of course I couldn’t get close enough to smell. After I guessed you were the Principal, I thought I could confirm your identity through scent. So, when you came close to you just now, I took a sniff. It was indeed the same scent as before. Naturally, that confirms it was you.”

“Huh? I have a scent? What kind of scent? I don’t use any perfume, you know?” Ye Wuxian was surprised, then smelled her wrist but could not detect anything.

Lu Fan smiled and said. “Of course you can’t smell it, Senior Sister. It’s not perfume, it’s… well, a natural fragrance from women. It’s probably different for every woman. Like my Auntie, Jian Ying, Qin Qiu, and Tao Xiaoman, they all have fragrances too, but each person’s scent is different.”

Hearing this, Ye Wuxian gave Lu Fan a sidelong glance and question. “Wow. Who knew you could identify women by their scent. Looking at it this way, you must be quite lucky with the ladies, huh? I guess it is after having smelled all these girls when living under the same roof?”

Lu Fan was greatly embarrassed and hurriedly tried to explain. “I’m not a pervert. I don’t go around sniffing Jian Ying and the others. We just live together, so it’s normal that I know what they smell like, right?”

“Hehe, yeah right, pervert!”

Lu Fan was at a loss for words. Back then, he had been viewed as a pervert by Jian Ying for a long time just because he was trying to claim a Treasure Map. Finally, when Jian Ying no longer held any prejudices against him, his Senior Sister had labelled him as a ‘pervert’.

Of course, Ye Wuxian knew Lu Fan’s character was not as such. If he was truly that problematic, the girls of Villa No. 2 would have driven him out long ago.

Seeing Overseeing Heaven City still in chaos, with Players constantly arriving through the Transport Array to suppress the city’s unrest, Ye Wuxian stopped joking with Lu Fan and said: “Alright, now isn’t the time for chit chat. Let’s meet up with the others first, then use the Transport Array to return to the entrance of Death Desert Ocean.”

As she spoke, Ye Wuxian waved her Heaven Incinerator, and the flames burning at its tip immediately extinguished, revealing its true appearance as a spear.
