Chapter 1642 - 567: The Queenʼs Knight (Part 3)

...

This sight, of course, left the Imperial campʼs strongmen momentarily astonished!

The Fiend Demon narrowed the expansion range of his domain, clearly threatened by something, and the one who took action must be the newly inaugurated Full Moon Wizard Rein from the Cologne Cathedral ahead.

At this moment, Rein appeared abruptly in the camp, carrying a silver box.

”Archbishop Mills, is this it?” Rein gestured to the box in his hand and said.

”Y-Yes, Your Excellency Rein, no, Lord of the Steel Throne, you obtained it?!” Archbishop Mills, slightly tense, bowed and greeted.

It had been less than half a minute, yet the figure before them had effortlessly entered the fiery depths of Cologne Cathedral, found the item, and brought it out.

Archbishop Mills was all too aware of the trials he had faced when escaping from the Cologne Cathedral.

”Hmm?” Rein seemed slightly surprised.

The title Steel Throne, he remembered, was known only to Haleem and a few others; how did it spread here?

”Did news come from the Federation?”

”Yes, Rein, congratulations, the first Full Moon Wizard in a thousand years.” Menia elegantly approached with a smile.

She had previously sensed that Reinʼs power seemed to have increased, but couldnʼt be certain.

Now sheʼs sure, and the burden in her heart suddenly lifted.

Following this battle, the Imperial City was nearly entirely destroyed, the ancient Dragon Empire teetered on the brink, and its citizens, like fledglings faced with a harsh winter, were displaced and starving.

All this transformed into immense pressure that stifled the ordinary people.

Even the astute and capable Red Queen, an epic veteran, the personal aunt of the deceased Emperor Carlos II, found it hard to bear...

Rein looked into Meniaʼs eyes, seemingly perceiving the weight of the pressure she carried.

He approached Menia, took her hand, bowed, and performed a hand-kiss ceremony, saying:

”Thank you, Princess Menia, at this moment, I hope to become your Guardian Knight, may I?”

Menia was initially surprised but seeing Reinʼs bright and encouraging eyes, she suddenly understood and immediately nodded, saying:

”Of course, Lord of the Steel Throne Rein, it would be my honor.”

The Empireʼs strongmen around them suddenly realized that the relationship between the two might be much closer than they had thought.

But now, does it matter?

It is not important.

What matters is that the teetering Empire once again has a pillar and anchor.

Suddenly, thunderous applause erupted around!

...

Several minutes later.

The crowd sat around a long table inside the camp tent, convening an emergency meeting following the Fiend Demonʼs upheaval.

”Prince Menia, urgent news from each province; a large-scale blood sacrifice event by the Cult was reported in Marn Province; several black-robed Plague Messengers from the Plague Sect openly appeared in Moselle Province, spreading plague and doctrine; formidable members of the Black Flame Church emerged in Casweis Province, with Lavak County being occupied..... Nome Province..... Sava Province.....”

The female Attendant, her face solemn, quickly reported the just-received urgent news.

The Empireʼs strongmen beside her grew more and more grave as they listened.

Be it the seasoned Guardian Elder Ivan or the newly ascended Sword Saint Lambert, all understood that the Dragon Empire was at a critical moment of survival.

The Fiend Demon incident at Cologne Cathedral thoroughly ignited the activities of various cults.

Faced with increasingly intense tides of energy, what follows could likely be an even more challenging situation.

And the solutions to these pressing problems lie with the Empireʼs youngest Guardian, the first Full Moon Wizard in a millennium, standing before them.

Rein naturally noticed more and more eyes focusing on him.

He knew, given this situation, he must say something.
