Chapter 1622: Chapter 561: Full Moon Wizard’s Power

Floating City Ruins Surface Layer.

The Federation’s epic-level strongmen felt the intense energy fluctuations coming from below, and for a moment, they were speechless.

”Everyone, I think we can’t let Lord Rein fight alone...” At this time, Haleem broke the silence and spoke, while looking at the others.

”But we are facing seven divine avatars. With just a few of us, can we really change the situation? I’m afraid it’s like moths to a flame!”

”Yes, last time when they attacked the Dragan Empire’s Temrael, not only did Carlos II fall on the spot, but several epic-level strongmen and giant dragons were killed. The fallen count was more than the seven of us now...”

”If we go up, I’m afraid it will only add to the casualties...”

”That’s right, and since Lord Rein asked us to leave first, he might have already considered this situation. If we go back now, wouldn’t it go against Lord Rein’s good intentions?”

”This...”

For a moment, everyone was discussing it.

After a while, only Sword Saint Terrio’s deep voice broke through: ”Everyone, I will definitely go to support Lord Rein, but as you all said, having concerns is also natural.”

”So, although I am the leader of this exploration, I won’t demand that you have to do anything.”

”Those unwilling can stay here and stay safe. Those willing can follow me down.”

With that, Sword Saint Terrio flashed and swiftly advanced towards the negative first floor from the direction of the elevator shaft.

Since the whole floating city seemed to have activated some device, and the cracks in the metal layer of the surface were nearly fully restored, they could only reach the next level through normal means.

Haleem glanced at everyone, sighed, and immediately followed Sword Saint Terrio.

Og and Otto hesitated for a moment, exchanged a glance, and then also immediately followed.

Only the remaining three looked hesitant, thought about it, but ultimately did not follow.

...

Soon, the group of four led by Sword Saint Terrio arrived on the negative second floor, but after taking a few steps, they stopped, staring in surprise ahead.

There they saw two familiar giant dragons—Black Dragon Metheus and Steel Dragon Dorick, still on the negative second floor and hadn’t gone down.

In their view, the two dragons should be on the negative third floor by now, helping Lord Rein against the divine avatars.

Even if the Steel Dragon didn’t go down, Black Dragon Metheus, as Lord Rein’s dragon partner, could not retreat in battle.

”Lord Black Dragon, aren’t you going to help Lord Rein?” Sword Saint Terrio’s expression darkened as he stepped forward.

”Everyone, it was the master’s order that we not go down yet. By the way, I suggest you don’t go down now either.” Black Dragon Metheus looked at Terrio and the four with his large dragon eyes and said unhurriedly.

”Huh?”

Upon hearing Metheus’s words, Terrio and Haleem exchanged glances, confusion in their eyes.

”Below is a melee... um... aside from the seven Evil God avatars... crunch... there are also two ancient goblins infected by Fiend Demon... seems to be some Great Craftsman Dupre... creak... and Great Sage Tamriel...”

The Steel Dragon Dorick chewed a piece of unknown goblin mechanical debris while mumbling a response to Terrio’s inquiry.

”What?”

Upon hearing this from Metheus, the four led by Sword Saint Terrio were suddenly stunned.

Besides the seven divine avatars, there are even Fiend Demon avatars down there?

But how did these two groups face off?

Where is Lord Rein?

”I understand!” Haleem’s eyes gleamed with a flash of insight, speaking excitedly.

”I understand why Lord Rein chose to ascend in the floating city!”

”So that’s the reason!”

Haleem’s words immediately focused the attention of the other three on him.

”Don’t keep us in suspense, Haleem, tell us!” Seeing Haleem stroke his beard with an enlightened look but not getting to the point, Sword Saint Terrio couldn’t help but urge.

”Uh... don’t rush, Lord Terrio, let me think about how to explain it to you.”

”Um... maybe Lord Terrio is not aware, but I once read in an ancient travelogue that the relationship between Fiend Demons and Evil Gods seems to be antagonistic.”

”And then? Are they not hostile to humans? Why are they scuffling instead of fighting Lord Rein?” Terrio asked in bewilderment.

”Do you all remember the subspace teleportation ability that Lord Rein demonstrated to us?” Haleem looked at the three, smiling.

”I believe Lord Rein has already concealed himself. That’s why the Fiend Demon avatars and divine avatars are now in fierce combat below.”

As Haleem spoke, he noticed Black Dragon Metheus with a ’smart you’ look, immediately realizing that his guess was correct.

”So that’s it...” Og and Otto Brothers suddenly understood as well, their hearts immediately at ease, the worry and solemnity on their faces dissipating quickly.

”Lord Rein is truly cunning... No, truly brilliant!” Under immense pressure, Sword Saint Terrio couldn’t help but laugh aloud.

Because the current situation is far better than the best scenario he had envisioned.

In the subsequent events, whether they can defeat the Fiend Demon avatars and divine avatars remains to be seen, but everyone’s safety seems secure, making him, as the Federation leader, feel at ease.

...

Meanwhile, on Rein’s side.

He quickly found the icon of the Steel Heart on the Dragon Vein Wizard (Legend) career panel, checking the new description changes:
