Chapter 1604: Chapter 554: Steel Dragon (Part 2)

With a loud ”Boom,” it slammed heavily onto the ground over a hundred meters away, kicking up a large cloud of dust!

The attacker was none other than the sharp spiked hammer at the end of Steel Dragon’s tail.

This made Metheus quite angry, taking two heavy blows at the start was really humiliating.

However, not all was bad after this hit, at least Metheus finally took the opportunity to take off into the air.

”Hmm? It actually managed to fly up.” Steel Dragon Dorick looked at the Black Dragon continuing to ascend with some surprise and said.

Logically, the opponent should have already lost most of its combat effectiveness after such a hit.

Metheus suddenly opened its mouth wide and sprayed a Breath towards the Steel Dragon below!

”Shadow Breath!”

A cone of black flames rapidly expanded, covering part of the Steel Dragon’s dodging body.

”Sizzle sizzle!”

A special corrosive power caused a large area on the Steel Dragon’s back to lose its metallic luster, as if rusted, this was one of the powers of Metheus’ Shadow Intense Flame.

The Shadow Breath contained a large amount of Negative Energy Particles.

”Damn!”

”Black Dragon, you’ve angered me!”

”Atomic Breath!” The Steel Dragon Dorick spat out a shining bright silvery beam of light!

”Shadow Breath!”

Instantly, the two Breath energies collided together.

What?

Atomic Breath?

Lightning flashed across Rein’s mind, realizing that the faint aura around Steel Dragon’s body is actually radiation, combined with the fact that it had been sleeping inside Dark Steel Ore for a long time.

In an instant, a method to persuade the opponent appeared in Rein’s mind.

However, for now, he had to stop the battle at hand.

”Roar!!!”

Rein quickly transformed into a massive Dark Silver Dragon appearing in the air.

”Particle Breath!”

Rein’s Breath skewed the two clashing energy masses apart.

Suddenly, three strong energy blasts hit the ground, waves spread all around, incessant, even the Beverly Mountains over a hundred kilometers away could clearly sense it.

A colorful ball of light suddenly rose into the sky from somewhere in the mountains, its speed fast like lightning.

Upon ascending into the air, the light ball abruptly stopped, as if judging the specific position of the energy wave.

If someone could observe closely at this moment, they would find a woman inside the colorful light ball, with fair and beautiful features, a curvaceous figure, wearing a dazzling feathered robe and a variegated feather crown adding a touch of exotic charm.

However, her deep eyes and regal majesty make it hard to feel close.

”It’s over there.”

As soon as the crisp voice fell, the air beside her was suddenly torn apart, a white wave spread, and the colorful glow quickly flew towards Rein’s battlefield.

Seconds later, a piercing sonic boom echoed all around, revealing that her speed exceeded sound.

...

Meanwhile.

Seeing Rein’s transformation, Steel Dragon Dorick’s face changed, and said:

”Stop!”

”Human Wizard, we have no hatred, the battle ends here.”

”Moreover, the great Dorick shall no longer pursue your disturbance.”

Is this Steel Dragon? More like ’Soft Dragon.’ Rein was momentarily speechless.

”That’s all? What about the wager?”

”The great Dorick would never yield to humans like the weak Five-Colored Dragons.” As soon as the words fell, Steel Dragon Dorick started digging underground.

”Wait, Dorick, I think I know how you can further enhance your power, which should be more effective than devouring Dark Steel Ore and absorbing the energy contained within.”

Rein quickly said.

”What! You’re not fooling me?” Rein’s words made Steel Dragon Dorick’s digging speed noticeably slow, and minutes later, it turned back with astonishment looking at Rein.

”Of course.”

After a brief thought, Rein extended his hand, and as the Dark Silver metallic ripples spread, a metal ball quickly began to coagulate in front of his palm.

”Sign a contract with me, besides I’ll tell you that method, and additionally, three of these each day.”

Dorick’s dragon eyes glanced at the metal ball in front several times, hesitated briefly then sighed and said:

”No less than five balls a day, no, ten balls, and I’ll agree.”

”Three.”

”Eight! At least eight balls!”

”Three.”

...

”Alright! Let’s sign the contract, human Wizard!” Steel Dragon Dorick said somewhat dejectedly.

Eventually, the contract between Rein and Steel Dragon Dorick was reached, and at the same time, the system prompt sounded:

[Ding! Host has contracted Steel Dragon, current number of contract pets (4/4)]

...

With the system contract established, the next instant, Dorick looked at Rein with a changed expression, becoming like Black Dragon Metheus, devoid of any arrogance or defiance.

”Master!”

Rein nodded.

However, he immediately thought of a tricky problem, in the Dragan Empire, Dragon Knights are contracted with dragons one-to-one, never has there been a situation of contracting two dragons.

This means, if he took Dorick together to fly to the Imperial City, it would be too conspicuous. But if he didn’t bring Dorick, then going to the Alliance...

”Dorick, do you know of another continent?”

Rein pondered for a moment, quickly waving his fingers in the air.

Soon, a rudimentary map formed by Witchcraft Light appeared in the air.

”Of course, master, what would you have me do?”

”In three days, we’ll meet here, okay?” Rein pointed at the approximate location of Zetaya on another continent and said.

”Okay, master, won’t take three days, I’ve been there before, two days is enough.” Dorick nodded and said.

”That’s great, let’s meet at Zetaya.” Rein smiled, nodding.

”At your command, master.”

...

By the time Wind Roc Queen Trist arrived, the battle was already over, and she could only see the huge figure of the Black Dragon departing.

Seemingly sensing Trist’s emergence behind, Rein turned with a slight smile, then patted Metheus’s back and said, ”Let’s go, Metheus.”

”Master, aren’t you going to greet this bird?” Metheus’s deep voice sounded.

”Oh? Metheus, you’ve tangled with Wind Roc Queen Trist?”

”Yes, I fought her once before, but that was hundreds of years ago. I couldn’t do anything to her, nor could she to me.” Metheus said with some pride.

”I see.”

”We’ll do it next time, the timing isn’t right now, there’ll be an opportunity.” Rein patted the wide back of the Black Dragon with a smile.

The moment Trist saw Rein’s face, her body stiffened. She wouldn’t forget this youthful face, it was he who defeated her capable subordinate and took away the Divine Power Crystal of the Nether Sea Goddess, delaying her path to becoming a Demigod for a while.

”How could this guy’s power... have increased so fast!”

”Also the Black Dragon just now, if I’m not mistaken, it’s an Extremely Old Dragon level Black Dragon, even in the Dragan Royal Family they’re rare, no wait, it’s Metheus!”

”That’s right, it’s ’Mad Wings’ Metheus!”

”But how could it be contracted by such a young man?” Beatrix furrowed her slender eyebrows, unable to comprehend.

”An Extremely Old Dragon, even an Advanced Wizard of Dawn Late Stage could not necessarily gain its approval, let alone ’Mad Wings’ Metheus!”

”Truly unbelievable!”

However, when Trist looked at the ground, her beautiful eyes suddenly narrowed.

”This... is a Metalic Dragon?”

She just happened to see Steel Dragon Dorick slowly disappearing into the ground.

”Luckily, the opponent was likely trying to defeat this Steel Dragon, yet seemingly did not succeed.” Thinking so, Trist felt notably better, her pretty face relaxing, forming a slight smile.

”However, I need to speed things up myself, things are growing more chaotic.”

”Additionally, I can’t be surpassed by this young man.”

Trist, bearing the faith of hundreds of thousands of Wind Roc citizens, could start attempting to condense an initial divine rank, yet this process carried some risks, so she hadn’t taken that final step.
