Chapter 1640 - 567: The Queenʼs Knight

”Are you sure about this, Archbishop Mills?” Rein turned his head, also quite surprised, and asked.

Although he had heard the ancient tale of the Goddess wielding a divine artifact to defeat a Fiend Demon, the issue was that he had never considered that the artifact she used was also a secondary key to the Time Key.

Moreover, if that were the case... it would indeed be a good thing.

The content left by Goblin Princess Amora mentioned that if two secondary keys to the Time Key could be collected, one could discover the location of the true Divine Artifact Time Key using a certain method.

”Iʼm sure, I can confirm this!” Archbishop Mills recalled once again and said solemnly.

”Then where is this artifact now? Is it inside the Cologne Cathedral?” Rein continued to ask.

”Isnʼt the one in your hand...?” Hearing Reinʼs inquiry, Archbishop Mills looked at Rein with a peculiar expression and cautiously asked.

Clearly, he assumed that the artifact Rein held was the same one the Goddess had used long ago.

After all, with power as formidable as Lord Rein before him, it was likely he could have found the long-missing artifact in some ancient temple site.

”No, mine is from the Ancient Goblin Floating City, dating far earlier than the history of the Goddess and the Church.” Rein immediately understood this was a misunderstanding and shook his head, saying.

”Ah?”

This answer clearly took everyone by surprise.

”Are there really two artifacts exactly the same?” Archbishop Mills widened his eyes in shock.

Rein opened his mouth, initially wanting to say there are more than just two secondary keys, but then thought better of it and didnʼt speak.

After all, he himself wasnʼt entirely clear about the secondary keys, and saying it now could bring unforeseen consequences.

”Has the Church never tried to find it?” Rein asked.

”Naturally, weʼve attempted to find it, and weʼve found many clues, but that aspect is not within my jurisdiction.” Mills responded after regaining his composure.

”What about specific information?”

”As for specific information, Iʼm afraid thereʼs none left. Originally, the information was stored in the underground top-secret archive of the Cologne Cathedral. Information regarding the artifact clues was placed inside a silver iron box.”

Archbishop Mills looked towards the spire building where the Evil Qi was densest in the distance with disappointment.

”Oh?” Rein gazed at the Cologne Cathedral, his eyes flickering.

He was evaluating.

The intensity of the Fiend Demon in Imperial City Tamriel this time was even stronger than that at the Floating City Ruins.

That was also why, despite Imperial City Tamriel having no fewer than a dozen Imperial Guardians, they were still retreating step by step; partly due to the Fiend Demonʼs unique polluting nature.

On the other hand, the Fiend Demonʼs combat power here was so strong that upon breaking the seal, it possessed nearly late demigod-level strength, and was rapidly increasing.

However, his current strength was also much greater than when he first entered the Floating City.

Should he rush in to search now, or wait for a while?

After a brief contemplation, Rein decided to proceed immediately.

Otherwise, if the Fiend Demonʼs combat power increased further, the opportunity would be lost.

At least for now, with his special ability of ʼShadow Shiftingʼ, safety shouldnʼt be an issue.

”Iʼll be right back.”

With that, Reinʼs figure vanished from the spot.

Leaving the group of Imperial powerhouses looking at each other in astonishment.

”Lord Rein... has he gone in?” Archbishop Mills couldnʼt help but be dumbfounded, saying.

”It seems so.” Sword Saint Lambert nodded. He was relatively familiar with Rein and knew this was Reinʼs style of action.

”Thatʼs too reckless.”

”Indeed!”

Lagaray and Jennifer exchanged a glance, seeing the worry in each otherʼs eyes.

However, in the eyes of Red Queen Menia, a glint of light flashed, as if she had some speculation.

Suddenly, at this moment, a female attendant hurried over and respectfully said to Menia, ”Your Highness Menia, urgent news from the Federation.”

”Read it!” Menia didnʼt even turn her head and said.

Her mind was currently on Rein, and at this moment, her beautiful eyes were still gazing at the Cologne Cathedral enshrouded in Evil Qi, naturally indifferent to those ceremonial diplomatic expressions.

”The Federation, informed of the Fiend Demon attack on the Empire, has immediately arranged for two cargo airship squads to transport large amounts of supplies here.....”

Hmm?

Upon hearing this, Menia blinked her beautiful eyes in slight surprise and turned to look at the reporting female attendant.

”Did they really say that?”

”Yes, Your Highness Menia.” The female attendant nodded seriously, saying, ”They also said theyʼre willing to jointly initiate the restoration work of the Floating City, they are ready to provide technical and resource support.”

”Hmm? Since when has the Federation become so agreeable?”

”Typically speaking, not kicking someone when theyʼre down is already good enough!”

Other Imperial powerhouses also showed expressions of astonishment.

”No other demands?” Elder Ivan couldnʼt help but ask.

”Uh... in terms of demands, there seems to be just one: they hope that Lord Rein of the Steel Throne can become the Empireʼs main leader in the restoration work of the Floating City...”

”Wait! Steel Throne?” Elder Ivan asked with a puzzled expression.

”If Iʼm not mistaken, the title of ʼThroneʼ is only a reverence for Full Moon Wizards, right?” Reginald, standing by, also noted the ʼlinguistic errorʼ in this statement, asking with confusion.

Elder Ivan nodded, ”I am puzzled by that as well. Official diplomatic terms from the Federation should not contain such low-level language mistakes.”

”Elder Ivan, but what if this... isnʼt a mistake?” At this point, ʼRed Queenʼ Menia spoke thoughtfully.
