Chapter 396 – 200 Push Hard! Push Hard… (2-in-1 Large Chapter)

Dennis felt that as soon as his left leg, which had turned into a sharp claw, lightly tapped the ground, his whole body charged forward with lightning speed, exceedingly fast.

He was certain that this speed definitely surpassed that of an ordinary Knight.

Even compared to the speed when his father broke through to become a Great Knight, it seemed to be not much slower.

At this moment, Dennis’s mood, after taking the ’Mutation Potion’ and turning into a non-human state, improved a lot.

Moving around, he seemed like a rapidly moving wisp of transparent mist. Having leaped onto a tall surrounding wall, he looked around.

Since he was in the noble residential area of County Town, he could see the silhouettes of guards from various households training back and forth, despite it being nighttime.

This immediately sparked an idea in him.

He wanted to test the waters with a small attempt!

After glancing around, he noticed that within a nearby estate, a guard had left the patrol team and seemed to be heading to the toilet. This made the scaly face of Dennis reveal a sinister smile.

’An excellent test subject…’

The next second, Dennis’s nearly transparent figure ’whooshed’ and disappeared from the top of the wall.

The guard, clad in chainmail, had just turned the corner of the corridor when suddenly, he felt a gust of strong wind against his face. Just as he was about to react, he heard a ’crack,’ and instantly froze on the spot.

Then, his whole body began to tremble like a sieve, and the next second, he slowly collapsed to the ground.

Now, the body on the ground had its skull completely dug out at the top, and most of its white brain matter scooped out.

Dennis at this moment was playing with the bloodied and brain-covered skull with his right claw.

His vertical pupils revealed surprise; he had not expected his attack power to reach such a level.

Just one claw had directly lifted the skull of a well-trained guard!

One should know that the skull is one of the toughest parts of the human body, and the strength of the guard was not weak, roughly equivalent to a first-level Knight’s Attendant, but against his non-full force strike, there was no power to resist. Discover stories with m

This only made Dennis’s confidence soar!

Moreover, he felt that the power within his body seemed to be increasing every moment, and the feeling of possessing such a tsunami-like overwhelming strength was intoxicating!

“Rein! I’m coming for my revenge!” Dennis mumbled to himself, looking at his hand that had mutated into a lethal claw.

Quickly, with a leap, Dennis immediately disappeared from the spot.

…

Meanwhile, two rebels holding a bronze telescope just saw a blur before Dennis vanished from their sight.

This made them hastily look around, and after much effort, they saw a nearly transparent figure pop its head up from a distant building before disappearing again.

After that, they found it difficult to track any further trace of him!

Only then did the two of them realize that this Dennis was no longer the Dennis they had known before.

Their observation mission was going to be tough!

“Damn, the effects of the potion are so strong! How did this kid’s speed get so fast?”

“This isn’t what the captain described!” the leading rebel spat and said.

“The potion is so amazing; I just wonder if it can revert to a human body. If it can, I’d also request a bottle from the boss,” the other rebel said enviously.

“Don’t be stupid, Whitey! Don’t you know that the mortality rate after taking this potion is damn high? This one is already lucky!” the leading rebel smacked his companion’s head and scolded.

The two hurried along, but as formal Knights, they still couldn’t catch up.

“We really can’t keep up, Whitey; hurry up and report to the captain! This speed is much faster than that of a seasoned Knight,” the rebel complained.

“Also, you weren’t wrong at all; the potions of the Eagle Federation are really badass!”

—————–

Deep into the night, Rein was still sweating profusely in the blacksmith’s shop!

As one ice iron shoulder guard after another was crafted….

From dinner until now, in the span of four to five hours, Rein had advanced his Armorsmith Lv6 experience to (1839/3000).

Wiping a bead of sweat from his forehead, Rein thought to himself:

’Luckily when the bloody duel was on, I had Jennifer place a bet and made a fortune! Otherwise, I wouldn’t have had the resources to use rare ores like ordinary ones, and I wouldn’t have to worry about whether I could sell the ice iron shoulder guards afterward…’

’After all, pieces like knight armor sell well as a set; individual pieces seem odd, especially since mine are part of a set made from the rare ore, ice iron.’

’Moreover, according to the current progress, another hard day’s work tomorrow should just about do it.’

’Although I’m using a shortcut, my strength has been genuinely forged through hard training.’

’Knock knock knock!’

At that moment, a rapid knocking at the door suddenly interrupted Rein’s thoughts.

Before Rein could open the door, the voice of a guard outside anxiously called out, “Baron, the estate has just been attacked!”

“What!”

Rein’s pupils shrunk as he immediately opened the door and asked, “What’s the situation now?”

“Four guards have been killed, but the area patrol team responded quickly; the attacker has now fled. Baron, your parents and sister are safe and unharmed, just a bit shaken up,” the guard replied.

This immediately caused Rein to pause in his movements.
