Chapter 382 – 196: Gains at the Auction (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_3

The foreword was brief.

Fierce Tiger Fist Technique?

Rein pondered, This indeed shares some commonalities with the ancient martial arts from his previous life, all of which evolved from the observation of animals such as tigers, leopards, and bears, gradually transforming into fist techniques suitable for human use.

Among them, the Health-preserving Fist “Five Animal Frolics,” as well as the powerful combat-oriented Xingyi Quan and so on, were among the more typical representatives.

Gathering his thoughts, Rein continued to read on.

He saw that the Kadar Martial Arts was recorded with five styles of fist techniques.

The first style is Straight Punch, paired with a forward-rushing step.

The second style is Left Swing Fist, paired with a right sliding step.

The third style is Right Swing Fist, paired with a left sliding step.

The fourth style is Uppercut, paired with multi-directional sliding steps.

Sliding steps involve pushing off the ground with either the left or right foot, moving laterally about the distance of a foot, with the other foot quickly following to maintain the original stance.

These four styles, according to the outline’s records, could all be transformed into corresponding clawing moves, which is why they’re called Fierce Tiger Fist Technique.

The final technique was the fifth style, an evasive move called Pendulum Retreat Step.

Each style came with its corresponding footwork, especially the last style, which was a dodging move, and this made Rein quite happy.

However, when Rein got to the bottom, his eyebrows raised in surprise.

Huh?

Is this… Finger Tigers?

He saw a simple design of blade knuckles, noticeably different from regular ones, with sharp protrusions at the knuckles.

Each protrusion shaped like a dagger, wider at the base and tapering to a point, with a length of about ten centimeters, capturing the essence of a fierce tiger’s claws.

It’s not hard to imagine that being hit by a heavy punch wearing these blade knuckles, any enemy with insufficient defense would end up with four bloody holes in their body.

In other words, this set of Kadar Martial Arts even had a matching type of blade knuckles designed, as wearing these blade knuckles would maximize the lethality.

Next came the secret moves.

As for the secret moves, the first one was called “High-Speed Combo,” a technique for unleashing as many Straight Punches, Left Swing Fists, Right Swing Fists, and other moves as possible in a short amount of time.

The second secret move was called “Hundred Crack Strike,” requiring the use of blade knuckles and, similarly within a brief window, transforming punches into claw strikes with moves such as uppercuts, downward slashes, and left and right swings.

After that, no more items that Rein was very eager to acquire appeared at the auction.

After the auction ended and he returned home, Rein began practicing this “Kadar Martial Arts” eagerly.

After all, as soon as he could elevate this Extraordinary Battle Technique to lv10, he would be able to change his class immediately to the Legendary profession [Weapon Master]!

The mere thought of this filled Rein with an eager anticipation.

In the indoor training area, Rein practiced move by move following the human-shaped diagrams in the outline.

Soon, a system notification sounded:

[You have trained in the Kadar Martial Arts, improving your understanding!]

[You have comprehended a new Skill —— Kadar Martial Arts]

[Your Skill Card Kadar Martial Arts has improved, Experience +1]

The Kadar Martial Arts lv1 (1/100) appeared in the Knight (Transcendent) profession panel, with an icon depicting a towering figure with a tiger’s head and a human body in an upright stance, with a pair of claws and Finger Tigers very similar and in a sweeping posture, quite heroic.

Since Rein was no longer a newbie, and his experience with learning Combat Skills was no longer that of a beginner from six months ago, he managed to raise it to lv3 in an afternoon.

However, starting from lv3, the speed of improvement began to slow down.

Rein knew how to speed up the process; if he could find a suitable person to practice or spar with, he could increase his level rapidly again.

As for adding points?

That was naturally something to consider after reaching lv5.

“Thump, thump, thump!”

Hmm?

Normally the servants all knew not to disturb him in his training room.

Could it be that something urgent had come up?

Rein was a bit perplexed to hear the knock on the door, he said,

“Come in!”

Jenny appeared with an apologetic face, “Lord Reine, I’m sorry to interrupt, but there’s a merchant leader outside who has something he must deliver to you personally.”

“Hmm? A merchant?” Rein showed a puzzled look.

“Yes, Lord Reine, it appears to be a merchant caravan from the County of Rosebi,” Jenny said very certainly, adding after a pause.

The County of Rosebi? Could it be…

Rein immediately thought of a possibility.

“Let’s go and see.”

When Rein and Jenny arrived in the front courtyard of the mansion, they saw a large pile of items wrapped in grey tarpaulin, already moved to the side of the courtyard.

A chubby merchant approached with a smile, “Honorable Lord Reine, I am commissioned by Knight Hass to deliver these valuable items to your residence.”

“I apologize for the inconvenience of having you personally sign for them, but Knight Hass emphasized repeatedly that the contents are very valuable and must be handed directly to you.”

“Thank you, you’ve had a long journey,” Rein said with a slight smile.

And Jenny, very considerately, had the maids prepare some coins to thank the chubby merchant.

After the chubby merchant left, Rein uncovered the tarpaulin, and sure enough, inside were the turtle shells that he had cut from the corpse of the Scale-Whisker Ironback Turtle, totaling twelve pieces.

Actually, there were originally thirteen pieces, but one was shattered by Rein in combat.

As for these hard, thick turtle shells, Rein had already planned their use—to forge an equipment that was not uncommon—a Turtle Shell Shield.
