Chapter 2864: Chapter 2865: Unlocking a New World

”What are you planning to do? Are you going to come with me, or continue resting inside the bracelet?” Angel looked at Dangross. ”Even though Genggui said the space is relatively stable, the Mirror Domain is, after all, another world, and who can guarantee absolute safety? So, my suggestion is...”

Before Angel could finish, Dangross interrupted, ”I want to go!”

After speaking, Dangross paused for a moment, turning its palm to glance at Angel who was staring at it. It hesitated, stammering a bit, ”I-I actually just want to see more worlds. You, you promised me, right?”

”The most important thing is, aren’t we together?”

What Dangross meant to express was: we can be partners.

But in Angel’s ears, the meaning transformed into: didn’t you promise Magu that you would protect me?

Angel pondered for a moment, then looked at Dangross’ persistent expression and finally shrugged, ”Then come along.”

With that said, Angel turned to Genggui, ”Can we set off now?”

Genggui: ”Yes.”

Angel nodded, said nothing further, and instead reached out his hand slowly toward the mirror surface.

As his finger touched the sleek, black mirror, it sent ripples like water waves. Pushing forward, he could feel a slight resistance, akin to soft flowing sand, but not uncomfortable.

On the outside, Angel appeared calm as he prepared to step into the Mirror Domain, unlocking a new world. Internally, however, he was slightly anxious.

Although he had visited the Mirror Space created by Mirror Grudge, it was ultimately merely a manifestation of Mirror Grudge’s ability, not the Mirror Domain.

This time would be Angel’s first formal entry into the Mirror Domain.

With a slightly apprehensive mind, Angel slowly walked into the mirror.

When fully immersed, the sensation was reminiscent of being enveloped in sand, exerting some pressure and accompanied by a suffocating inability to breathe.

This feeling did not last long, roughly around twenty seconds.

Once all discomfort dissipated, Angel found himself in an unfamiliar space full of light.

Undoubtedly, this was the Mirror Domain... or rather, its outskirts.

Angel temporarily ignored the surrounding environment and instead closed his eyes to sense his own condition.

The last time Angel went to the Abyss, he could distinctly feel the magical core in his mind space becoming sluggish, with a noticeable obstruction in using magic power.

But this time, things were normal; the magic vortex operated without issue, and the space was filled with primordial magic.

However, Angel noticed that while there’s a significant amount of primordial magic here, the space is also teeming with various energy types.

These energies were mixed, with Angel being able to perceive dozens at the moment.

Among these were energies Angel recognized and had engaged with: Power of Void, Power of Abyss, Telekinesis, and Demonic Power.

Power of Void and Power of Abyss were generic terms Angel provided, encompassing various forces. For instance, Power of Abyss included Power of Demon God, Demonic Power, Ancient One’s aura, Abyssal aura, etc.

Telekinesis and Demonic Power, however, were specific energies. Telekinesis corresponded to Mind Masters from Hante World; although Angel had never fought a Mind Master, he had seen telekinetic items at the Research and Development Institute.

Demonic Power, on the other hand, was the power contained within Earl Mi’s body.

From this perspective, it seemed the Mirror Domain’s energy was eclectic, containing energies from various worlds?

Angel thought about it and understood. After all, the Mirror Domain was a special world, covering worlds reachable by any mirror, so possessing these worlds’ energies was normal.

Still, while the Mirror Domain had energies from other worlds, the dominant force, occupying over sixty percent, was an energy Angel didn’t know the name of.

This energy... Angel had a vague sense of familiarity.

He sensed similar powers from the Mirror Lady, Adanis, Olao, and even from Mirror Grudge. Yet they were only similar, not identical.

Just as Demonic Power has many branches, like fire for Fire Transmission Demon, ice for Cold Winter giant trolls, concealment for Shadow Demon, etc.

Even within the same category of Demonic Power, there are differences: Fire Transmission Demon, Fire Transmission Demon, Young Flame Demon, Magma giant trolls, all manipulating different types of Flame Demonic Power.

Therefore, Angel speculated the energy dominating the Mirror Domain was likely linked to ”mirrors.” This energy likely has varied branches; the Mirror Lady and Mirror Grudge he was familiar with were evidently two distinct mirror-related energies.

Similar to the Mirror Domain is the Quest World.

Soul Force dominates the Quest World, accounting for around eighty percent, though according to Nis, Quest World still contains other energy types.

This is presumably a unique trait of special worlds, where dominant and diverse energies coexist.

On the other hand, the Nightmare Realm is also considered a special world. However, according to Sanders’ Nightmare Illusion research reports, Power of the Nightmare Realm occupies over ninety percent, serving as the absolute leading force.

In many areas, only Power of the Nightmare Realm exists.

This is somewhat different...

The specific reason Angel didn’t know, but due to these differences, there aren’t many wizards daring to explore deeply into the Nightmare Realm.

This applies to the Origin World as well.

Research on the Nightmare Realm deepens continuously, yet most studies are based on scant information, with few genuinely delving in.

Setting aside the energy exploration of special worlds, Angel closed his eyes for another crucial reason: sensing the Wilderness of Dreams.

Initially, Angel thought the Mirror Domain might resemble the Abyss, where the Wilderness of Dreams is imperceptible.

But the outcome was slightly different from his imagination.

– The Wilderness of Dreams can be sensed, but the effect is unsatisfactory.

If described metaphorically, Angel, within the Southern Domain, could effortlessly sense the Wilderness of Dreams, akin to having a door always nearby; opening it grants access to the Wilderness of Dreams.

Here, while Angel could vaguely sense the Wilderness of Dreams, the sensation was no longer a ”door,” but rather a fragile, almost invisible strand of hair.

Through this ”strand,” Angel could discern the Wilderness of Dreams still existed, not destroyed.

But that’s about all he could discern.

Attempting to enter the Wilderness of Dreams via the ”strand”? Impossible.

Moreover, the Ability Tree within the mind space was also dim, with only the tree itself emitting a barely perceptible glow. The light from other abilities congealed was nearly extinguished.

Previously, Angel could sense the Wilderness of Dreams’ situation through the Ability Tree; now, he couldn’t.

Though, from the result’s perspective, there’s no difference, an intriguing research topic arises: why is the Wilderness of Dreams perceptible here in the Mirror Domain, but not in the Abyss?

Is it because the Mirror Domain is a special world, granting it special treatment? Or perhaps, acquiring the Core Authority of the Ability Tree allows Angel to vaguely perceive the Wilderness of Dreams even outside the Wizards’ Realm?

With the current information, Angel couldn’t draw any conclusions. However, it is indeed a topic worth researching.

...

After Angel arrived in the Mirror Domain, he kept his eyes closed and remained silent. Neither Dangross nor Genggui disturbed him.

It wasn’t until Angel opened his eyes that Genggui said, ”Mr. Angel, this is the Mirror Domain.”

Angel gazed at the black sphere floating mid-air before him, and a name automatically transformed in his mind: ”Is this your true form in the Mirror Domain, Gengghost?”

”...Isn’t form unimportant?” Genggui replied.

Angel: ”True, but different forms should have different names, Gengghost.”

”I can change into any shape.” As he spoke, Genggui began to swell, growing limbs.

Angel: ”I see, then let’s add a pair of ears, make the eyes light red... Your arms are too long, make them shorter, and there’s no need for such strong muscles, just round and chubby will do. Add a few tufts of hair on the head, perfect.”

Looking at the rejuvenated Daba, Angel finally called out in satisfaction: ”Gengghost, well done.”

”Tha...nks?” Genggui instinctively wanted to thank him, but as soon as he spoke, he realized, why should he thank Angel? Clearly, it was he who was cooperating with Angel’s performance.

While Genggui was doubting himself, Angel began observing the surrounding environment.

This was a comparatively bright space.

The entire space was roughly a hundred meters square, with the edges shrouded not by walls, but by ethereal mist.

The same went overhead, all engulfed in drifting mist.

However, it’s worth mentioning that beneath their feet was not mist, but solid brick flooring.

The bricks were cut into irregular shapes, creating an aesthetically pleasing effect.

Besides the brick floor, the most noteworthy parts of the space were two things: the streetlamps and the unknown staircase.

The streetlamps lined the brick road, and their construction was quite ordinary, black metal posts topped with semi-enclosed square glass lamp covers, with white grids outside the covers.

The only surprise for Angel was that these streetlamps were gas lamps.

The metal posts were both lamp posts and conduits for gas transmission.

The sound of airflow and the dripping of liquid from inside the lamp posts all indicated that the streetlamps were currently operational.

This is the reason why this space was so well-lit.

Because all the streetlamps were functioning, the light was plentiful, and even with the white mist overhead, there was no sense of obscurity; everything was as clear as daylight.

Yet, this seemingly ordinary scene perplexed Angel: Where did the gas come from?

From beneath the earth? Or does the Mirror Domain have a dedicated gas supply area?

After pondering, Angel still found it unlikely.

At this point, it seemed Genggui noticed Angel’s confusion and proactively explained: ”Everything here is reflected from a corner of a certain city in the outside world by the mirror. When reflected, the lamps were lit, and they will remain lit until this space completely collapses, at which point the lights will extinguish.”

”Listening to this, it somewhat resembles the... Nightmare Realm.”

However, the Nightmare Realm not only reflects reality but also transcends it.

Angel then pointed to the staircase at the end of the streetlamps: ”Is this staircase also a reflection of the outside?”

Genggui nodded: ”Yes, but with Daba’s help, I modified the staircase slightly.”

Angel: ”Modified?”

Genggui: ”Yes, precisely how it’s been modified, you can check it out yourself later. After all, to reach the location of the Sweet Dream, you’ll need to ascend this staircase.”

Angel didn’t say much, just motioned for Genggui to lead the way.

Genggui nodded, leading Angel forward while giving a brief introduction to this Mirror Space.

Taking the opportunity, Angel inquired about the unique energy in the Mirror Domain.

From Genggui’s narrative, Angel finally learned the name of this energy prevalent in the Mirror Domain.

— Aggregation Energy.

This name is not a universal term among all creatures in the Mirror Domain.

Some creatures also call it: Condensation Stage and Cohesion Stage.

The unique property of this energy lies in its reliance on the laws of the Mirror Domain to manipulate reality. Simply put, it’s the transmutation and control between illusion and reality.

However, most creatures in the Mirror Domain are not very interested in the real world; rather than manipulating the world beyond the mirror, they are more concerned with the living environment inside the mirror.

But the internal environment of the Mirror Domain is too harsh, with space life and death being as simple as drinking water.

Thus, the property of Aggregation Energy in manipulating reality was utilized by the mirror creatures in consolidating the reflected Mirror Space.

Mirror creatures can manipulate Aggregation Energy to fix reflected regions from outside the mirror within the mirror.

Just like the space Angel was in now, it was a piece of mirror space consolidated by Genggui through Aggregative Force.

With constant reinforcement, the stability of Genggui’s space is quite high, with a potential lifespan of over ten years barring any accidents.

For the lifespan of Transcendent creatures, ten years is quite short. However, in the Mirror Domain, where space constantly births and dies, having a space that lasts ten years is quite commendable.

Moreover, precisely because ten years is not long, should any accident occur, such as the space collapsing due to the Mirror Domain’s shatter-wave disaster, Genggui wouldn’t be too disheartened.

It can be said that this trait of Aggregation Energy is tailor-made for creatures in the mirror.

To survive and for longer-lasting existence, creatures in the mirror continuously absorb Aggregation Energy, search for suitable mirror reflections, and perform space solidification.

After listening to Genggui’s account, Angel stroked his chin, pondering aloud: ”Now I understand why when you mention the Mirror Domain, you invariably touch upon the word ’life and death’.”

It is precisely because they have solidified too much internal mirror space that there is so much life and death, right?

Moreover, many mirror creatures themselves are not strong, and the consolidated space might not even be able to hold a small real-world object, which exacerbates the life and death cycles within the Mirror Domain.

No wonder, such extreme life and death situations, while rare in other worlds, are commonplace in the Mirror Domain...
