Warhammer Divine Throne

”It looks like my luck is good, now, I’m back.” Fugen nodded, there was some guilt in his eyes, but from his demeanor and tone, it seemed the primarch of the Emperor’s sons who once pursued perfection has returned: ”Can you tell me exactly what happened? Father?”

The Emperor’s gaze flashed with many memories, he finally nodded, and told Fugen the cause and effect of the matter, as well as Laine’s existence: ”He is the last gift Macado left for me.”

”Hello, my brother.” Fugen shook hands with Laine, the silver-haired handsome man exhibited perfect manners and conduct, with a faint gratitude on his face: ”I don’t want to say much, I will prove everything with my actions.”

”Then I’m looking forward to it, brother.” Laine smiled, in front of Fugen’s perfect poise, Laine’s demeanor seemed somewhat unnatural, unlike Angerong and Kiliman, this brother seemed inherently not easy to feel close to.

A specially tailored noble dress was meticulously worn by Fugen, exhibiting almost perfect aristocratic temperament, he fastened his belt, tied his cravat, and tidied his collar.

Once dressed, Fugen’s gaze was somewhat dim: ”Father, can I ask you something?”

”Go ahead.”

”I know your ability is resurrection… I want to know, can Ferrus still come back?” Fugen tentatively asked, hearing this question, both Angerong and Kiliman looked at the Emperor’s majestic figure with expectant eyes.

But this time they were to be disappointed, the Emperor lightly shook his head, his voice was soft: ”It’s been ten thousand years.”

Indeed, it’s been ten thousand years, all four primarchs present sighed.

Fugen’s face was only filled with sadness, personally killing Ferrus, severely injuring Kiliman remained his nightmare: ”I am truly unforgivable, I owe you and everyone too much, father.”

”Then I need your strength, Fugen, you will go with me to the south of Tiriel.”

”There is also a relic of the Ancient Saint there, I won’t trouble Laine this time, I may need you to stay in this world, your return to the empire now is not suitable... I can’t stay here for long, some things need you to handle.”

”As you command, father.”

......

When the Baron returned to his domain, he was greeted with the treatment of a hero’s triumph, the domain was festively decorated, people were wantonly cheering, cheering for the Baron’s victorious return, cheering for another victory for the kingdom.

The peasants wouldn’t think too much, ignorant people also possess valuable qualities, the Baron is a Holy Grail Knight, anything done by the Holy Grail Knight is right, and as long as a Holy Grail Knight goes on an expedition, he is certainly going to win, this is the consensus of the kingdom’s people.

Although this situation is not absolute, the peasants never think that much, what they know is that the Baron annihilated the Red Duke and his army, our hard-won good days finally won’t be disturbed by the undead.

In early summer, the farmland on the field was all green, Laine rode a warhorse directly across the road, the silver Spiritual Power Armor, and the Holy Grail Knight Badge on his chest indicated his identity.

”Hello! Baron!”

”I offer you my respect, Baron!”

”Good afternoon! Baron.”

”Hello, everyone!” Laine politely greeted his people, the head of the Red Duke hanging on the back of his elf warhorse Grape bopped with each step of the warhorse.

In the distance, the Baron’s castle stood upon the ground, it seemed he had returned early, Francois’s army had not yet arrived at the Gene Territory, Laine rode alone into his castle.

The people in the castle had already learned of his return, the female knight, dressed in the standard uniform of a Marchioness, happily came out to welcome him: ”Laine, you’re back!”

”Yes, I’m back, Surya.” Laine dismounted and saw Surya’s beautiful figure, his face was full of smiles, the Holy Grail Knight extended his arms, allowing Surya to rush into his embrace and held her tightly.

”You’re okay, that’s so good, Laine.” Surya gently leaned against Laine’s chest and said softly: ”I was always worried about you, especially after Miss Veronica returned and said you stayed behind with Jerald, Alfred, and Miss Teresa...”

”Things went relatively smoothly, but the process was far from easy.” Laine held the female knight in his arms, he was a bit saddened: ”Alfred, Jerald they both got injured, especially Teresa, she overused her magic power to cover our retreat and now has fallen into a coma.”

Surya looked at Laine with some concern: ”Is Miss Teresa okay?”

”It shouldn’t be too serious, just need to rest for a few months.” Laine shook his head and chuckled bitterly, he tugged the female knight’s soft little hand as they walked towards the inside of the castle: ”By the way, where is Veronica and the others?”

”Miss Veronica returned to the Baron’s domain with a group of people a few days ago, she and Estelle, Des, Mr. Abel, along with two demon hunters returned to the domain, they all suffered some injuries.” Surya said gently: ”The injuries aren’t too severe, I have already paid the demon hunters, Mr. Estelle and Mr. Des will get a vacation, and as for Miss Veronica, she is now continuing to monitor the progress of her Wizard Tower.”

”The woman who works hard.” Laine knew Veronica well, she has always been like this, if Laine is by her side she would occasionally stop to enjoy the warmth between the two, but as soon as Laine is not around, she is like a machine that doesn’t pause, never stopping.

”How about you? Will you work so hard too, Laine?” Surya said with a faint smile, she said to Laine: ”The bath water has been prepared, your Dark Elf maid Ollica is already waiting for you in the bathroom.”

”Alright.” Laine nodded repeatedly, after a long time fighting, the near-death infiltration, the arduous battles afterward, purging Fugen’s exhaustion, Laine indeed felt very tired.

Fifteen minutes later, in the castle’s bathroom.

The dense mist filled the air, Laine relaxed and immersed his body in the hot water, taking long breaths, this outing, his robust body had gained a few small wounds, but they healed quickly, the splash of water, white tiles, large bath pool, and the lion sculpture’s spout were all masterpieces by Winford Court artisans.

The clear water swayed and rippled in the bath pool, outside the window the mountains undulated, mist shrouded, and the early summer wind blew over the green leaves on the rock piles in the valley, harmonized with the blue water of Xinong River, in the bathroom, the dark elf sat behind Laine, scrubbing his back, her black waist-length hair covered her fragrant shoulders and her tanned skin, with her small hands holding a towel dressed in black and white maid attire, only without stockings since being in the bathroom, exposing her slender legs and bare feet: ”Master~”

”Ollica, has there been anything at home lately?” Laine enjoyably indulged in Ollica’s service.

”Nothing, Miss Surya is very good to all of us, very gentle, she has handled everything well.”

”That’s good.” Laine nodded, choosing Surya was indeed the right decision.

”However...” The dark elf seemed to stop short.

”However what?” Laine turned around and kissed Ollica on the lips.

”Recently Her Highness Mogiana’s mood hasn’t been great, I can see she’s holding back, but... Master, I think you should visit her.” The dark elf cautiously suggested: ”Because... I can tell she really wants to say something to you.”

”I also plan to visit her after bathing to report this situation, but before that~” Laine wickedly extended his hand.

The bathroom echoed with the dark elf’s scream and the sound of splashing water, then the sound gradually diminished until it was barely audible...
