Warhammer Divine Throne

This group of merchants is precisely Laine’s party.

Laine left Surya and Amelia to look after the house. With the female knight’s enormous prestige and status as the future lady of the barony, she easily took over the highest authority within the Baron’s Domain. Laine also selected a stand-in to remain in the territory, temporarily having Amelia disguise the stand-in as herself to confuse the enemy.

The two Half-Elf guards are Estelle and Des, the blonde Sword and Shield Guard is Alfred, the taciturn steward is the Kingdom Knight Jerald, and the woman being groped by the fat man is played by Veronica. The eagle-nosed maid is actually the female sorcerer Teresa, who was feeling very uncomfortable as she removed the eagle-nose mask from her face: ”If I had a choice, I really wouldn’t want to wear this.”

The two coachmen just happened to be the Demon Hunters Abel and Ju Le, who had previously been to Laine’s territory. Upon hearing about this big job, they quickly agreed, as the Demon Hunter is a profession that lives on the edge of a blade.

As for the fat merchant, Gabriel Newell, he is naturally Laine in disguise. It was inconvenient for him to remove his makeup, but he still gave Alfred a thumbs-up: ”Afu, well done, you don’t look like a Paladin at all, more like a street vagrant.”

”You want me to act like how we used to sneak pies when we were younger, so I think I’ve got it,” Alfred tossed his golden long hair, looking a bit sleazy, with the corners of his mouth nearly reaching his ears, and purposely added some ugly scars to his face.

Veronica covered her chest angrily: ”Laine! Be gentler, I’m not your property, and if you break something, be wary of our future children going hungry!”

”Hmph, if I were playing this role, there wouldn’t be so many problems,” Teresa complained: ”If you really don’t want to, I can do it.”

”Oh? You think you’d do better? Our young lady would probably be seen through at a glance, wouldn’t she?” Veronica replied disdainfully, her sweet face full of challenge: ”Come on, you, Trovik?”

”You’re just flirting, Veronica!” Teresa retorted, her cold and beautiful face flushed with anger.

”You’re the one lacking feminine allure, Trovik. Are you really a woman? You certainly don’t look it to me,” Veronica shot back with venomous words, leaving the sorceress speechless.

In fact, after Laine went over the plan, Teresa quickly took a liking to playing Veronica’s role, as it allowed intimate contact with Laine.

Unfortunately, the female sorcerer couldn’t pull off the dustiness or wantonness of the role. After several ”auditions,” she was eliminated, while Veronica’s performance was unanimously praised by the group, led by the Demon Hunters. Teresa had to settle for the role of the extremely ugly eagle-nosed maid.

”If you’re going to act, go all the way, Veronica,” Laine intended to comfort her with a hug, but the witch instinctively shied away, looking disdainful: ”I don’t mind you touching me, but don’t bring that face near me, Laine!”

”I can’t remove the makeup, my Great Witch,” Laine replied, feigning innocence.

”Then don’t touch me! I only accept your original appearance!” Veronica stated impatiently. Seeing this, Laine could only shrug, and everyone burst into laughter.

”Alright, gentlemen and ladies, let’s settle down first and then proceed to the next step of the plan.”

Fifty minutes later, everyone had tidied up, and they all gathered in a large room. The Demon Hunter Ju Le stood guard outside, and after thorough checks by Abel and Ju Le, they confirmed that no one had followed them.

Outside the inn, the sky was filled with countless stars.

Having already bathed and prayed, Sir Jerald awkwardly wore a set of ordinary linen clothes, frowning: ”Laine, according to your plan, we have successfully infiltrated.”

Veronica had changed into a white wool sweater and a blue over-the-knee skirt, her pretty legs clad in nude stockings. Sitting with her legs curled behind Laine, she placed her silk-clad feet on his lap; the skirt-loving witch would never be seen with bare legs, except in the bathroom or Laine’s bedroom.

Teresa, on the other hand, wore a black-and-white striped women’s shirt and black straight-leg pants and sat on the bed in the large room. She was somewhat reserved, unlike Veronica, keeping her distance as she sat beside Laine.

”Musillon, the Cursed City, is currently the area under the actual control of the Vampires. Since the Dor Tower incident, the knights have come to Musillon City over a dozen times, only to return without success. After the Lady summoned the floods, the conditions for assembling siege weapons outside the city were lost. My plan is for us to cause destruction within the city, dismantling the siege weapons and their assembly sites,” Laine stated solemnly: ”Without siege weapons, Mr. Francois and Mr. Bodric can hold back the Vampires for another three months, preventing them from taking Turis.”

”In that scenario, the doomed-to-fail Red Duke will have no option but to retreat,” Alfred agreed.

”Hmm, so we must find the places where the Vampires are crafting their siege weapons and find a way to destroy them within three days,” Veronica said coquettishly: ”Otherwise, Laine’s disguise will wear off.”

”By the way, I’m truly impressed with you, Laine, for acquiring such an identity,” Estelle suddenly brought up a lighter topic.
