Warhammer Divine Throne

”Take off your helmet!” Laine removed the Blood Red Duke’s helmet, revealing his true face, half-destroyed and half in a dying state.

Before he fell to become a vampire, he must have been a handsome man.

”In the name of the Lady! I judge you!” The Goddess of Revenge swept by, and the Blood Red Duke’s head fell to the ground, with all his souls sucked into the subspace storm created by Laine, ensuring he could never resurrect.

The Blood Red Duke, who brought five hundred years of painful memories to Brittania, met his end by the Grismore riverbank.

Laine understood it wasn’t that the Blood Red Duke was weak, but that he had become stronger; after this battle, he was touching the threshold of the Holy Sanctuary.

”No!!!” Riding a zombie dragon in the distant sky, Manfred arrived tardily, just in time to witness the Blood Red Duke beheaded.

On the distant horizon, two teams of Blood Knights riding Nightmare Warhorses rapidly approached, causing everyone’s face to change, Laine picked up the Aquitaine Sword and Blood Duke’s head, saying to everyone, ”Hurry! I will cover your retreat! Teresa’s teleportation technique will take her and me away.”

”No! Laine, we promised not to be separated again!” Veronica panted, having suffered some injuries; the Jialan Witch had exhausted her magic power to burn down the entire camp.

”Veronica!” Laine continued to shout, ”Listen to me!”

Seeing the determination on Laine’s face, Veronica knew it wasn’t the time for hesitation, and so she nodded, ”Laine, I’ll wait for you at the Baron’s Domain.”

Subsequently, Veronica quickly departed with two Demon Hunters and two Half-Elves, retreating toward the predetermined location; once across the river, there were agreed-upon troops waiting to meet and assist their retreat on the opposite bank.

However, Jerald, Alfred, and Teresa stayed behind; the female sorcerer remained silent, only taking out a large number of potions and desperately pouring them into her mouth; she still had a substantial reserve of magic power and would be the hope for the others’ escape.

”Why aren’t you leaving?” Laine raised the Goddess of Revenge; the Blood Knights were only three to five hundred meters away, and Manfred’s zombie dragon was even faster.

”You have no authority to command me, Laine.” Jerald laughed heartily, the usually serious Kingdom Knight now filled with abandon and joy, ”With a formidable enemy before us, fearlessness, loyalty, integrity, that would not yield till death, protecting the weak, for the Lady! I am a knight of honor, a knight of the Lady, the one to hold the rear should naturally be me.”

”Good friend, I have nothing to say.” Alfred also brimmed with a smile.

”Hahaha~ Alright.” Laine chuckled wryly, shaking his head, ”We should have retreated after destroying the camp, but this was indeed a golden opportunity to kill the Blood Duke.”

”I understand, Laine, cover me!” Teresa again took out a potion and chugged it down; Frost Energy swirled around the female sorcerer, even covering her skin, ”Buy me some time!”

Before the words were fully spoken, Manfred had approached; the Vampire Count was genuinely enraged this time, the Blood Duke had been killed! They had lost a banner, a leader.

They had also lost their feeble claim to this country!

More than thirty Blood Knights charged in the night, Nightmare Warhorses exhaling sulfurous air, their filthy cavalry lances held high, in the sky, Manfred’s zombie dragon spat Dragon Breath, rapidly closing in.

Laine and the others immediately retreated into the camp, many places burned with flames, many others frozen; the camp was destroyed, yet it became a place to evade, Laine, Alfred, Jerald, and Teresa retreated into the camp, while Blood Knights roared and broke through the burning camp gate from the front.

Manfred’s zombie dragon breathed out a massive Dragon Breath, blasting the stacked building materials wide open, exposing Laine and others; the Vampire Count shouted, ”They’re there!”

”Fight!” Laine knew they couldn’t escape on the open field, so he turned around to face the Blood Knights head-on, dodging the sharp cavalry lance, and slashed the leg of the Nightmare Warhorse, throwing its rider off.

”Blizzard!” Frost Energy amassed into clusters, under the female sorcerer’s guidance formed dozens of Ice Cones in the air, concentrating the Blizzard on Blood Knights, providing minor obstruction to those terrifying knights who shook the Old World, momentarily halting their charge.

”Ice Barrier!” Teresa’s spells launched as though without needing Mana, several Ice Barriers separated Blood Knights from three directions, while Laine, Jerald, and Alfred charged, heroically battling the Blood Knights.

The Blood Knights’ combat power was unmatched by ordinary standards; Jerald and Alfred were quickly suppressed by them, Alfred’s plate armor was sliced open by the Blood Knights’ filthy blades, flesh rolled, bleeding profusely, the Paladin’s Holy Light skills were ineffective against these Blood Knights; the only effective weapon was the Holy Water-coated Longsword, with it Alfred barely managed to maneuver against them, while Jerald was covered in wounds, his legs, arms, chest, shoulders all injured, yet he continued fighting ”in the name of the Lady.”

Hold on! Hold on! Laine shouted internally, they must hold back the Blood Knights to ensure Veronica and others could retreat smoothly, the Holy Grail Knight bravely fought single-handedly against five or six Blood Knights, the blade scored across his face, leaving a mark.

Within the camp, the fierce battle was at its peak, this was a rare opportunity, Manfred vowed to bring Laine to death.

After five minutes of endurance, the situation became extremely dire; Laine and the others were forced into a corner within the camp, bitterly holding against dozen Blood Knights and Vampire Count Manfred’s siege.

Blood Knights crowded within the camp fighting against Laine and others, while Manfred engaged in magic duels in the air with Teresa, ”Nagash’s Gaze!”

”Crystal Cloak!” Teresa summoned a flickering whirlpool of shards, layers of icy mist enveloping the female sorcerer’s graceful body, resisting Manfred’s magic, as the female sorcerer bit her silver teeth, as the Crystal Cloak continued resisting Manfred’s spell, she had already unleashed the next spell, ”Soyka’s Call!”

Soyka’s Call, Eighth Ring Magic, a spell uniquely crafted by the first Ice Element Sanctuary Witch Soyka, erupted within the camp, generating an eight-meter-high ice tornado, sweeping battling Blood Knights substantially, lifting them skywards, their rigid bodies momentarily frozen by frost, but merely after a few seconds cracks appeared in the ice blocks, Blood Knights quickly broke loose from the frost, armor freezes fatal to ordinary folks had no effect on them.

Manfred was also forced to a complete shut-eye by the intense magic, the Vampire Count gripped the Blade of Profanity, deciding to forsake riding the zombie dragon, realizing that the female sorcerer was engaging him with substantial Magic Potions and by overextending her life force, he decided to fight in close combat.

”Ahh!” Jerald’s chest was pierced by the Blood Knight’s sharp sword, he shouted, kicking away the Blood Knight before him, clutching his chest as he retreated, Alfred’s body was drenched in blood, a long halberd thrust directly at his face, compelling the Paladin to finally cast a Divine Art, ”Holy Shield Skill!”

”Teresa, how much longer!” Laine’s Goddess of Revenge sliced open a Blood Knight’s armor; he could sense at least two sharp sword blades slicing near his head.

”Fifteen seconds!” Teresa’s face was pale as a sheet; the teleportation technique was almost ready to activate, but she was out of magic power!

”Ugh!” The female sorcerer once more overextended her bloodline’s power, erecting a two-meter-high ice wall between her and Manfred.

Useless, Manfred extended his hand, and powerful Undead Magic swiftly melted the ice wall Teresa had created with all her might.

Was it defeat? The female sorcerer despondently knelt on the ground.

It seemed today she would die here, Teresa’s cold and radiant face revealed an expression of despair.

No more magic power.

All is lost.

Manfred, standing before her, had already raised the Blade of Profanity, ”It’s over! Here’s your graveyard!”
