A banner team of Blood Knights traveled through the night, holding high the blood-red giant dragon’s banner, riding on nightmare warhorses spewing black smoke. They are all Legendary Tier warriors, destined to become nightmares for humanity after hundreds or even more years of honing.

In the dense forest, the Blood Knights destroyed every living thing they encountered on the way. The nightmare horses spewed sulfurous gas, and in the center of the Blood Knights was a Vampire Lord, Anak, a subordinate of Akhan, a powerful assassin under whose hands countless heroes had perished.

However, the Blood Knights were stopped deep in the forest.

Three tall figures in golden helmets and armor, with red plumes atop their heads, stood in their way: ”Undead, we cannot let you pass here.”

The Blood Knights laughed loudly. The leading captain of the Blood Knight Banner Team laughed and said, ”You are only three, we are fourteen, this is an unfair match, we won’t fight you like this! You can choose three of us to duel with you.”

”Indeed, this is an unfair duel!” echoed the three-meter-tall giant in golden armor, wielding a gigantic Guardian Long Halberd, ”Or, we can let you pick two more.”

”Ugh aaah! Kill them!” Such humiliation infuriated the Blood Knights. The banner team captain shouted, and the Blood Knights raised their long spears and charged at the enemy.

The Emperor’s Guard was also ready, the golden long halberds glimmered in the darkness.

”FOR THE EMPEROR!!!”

The Guardian Long Halberd of the Guard went through the Blood Knight’s chest in 0.1 seconds, golden light flowing through the forest. The figures of the Emperor’s Guard quickly blurred into light and shadow, shouting the Emperor’s name, vowing to dedicate their victory to the Master of Humans as their highest honor.

The forest echoed with the sound of explosive arrow guns and clashing metal.

In just a moment, the forest under the night became quiet again, as if nothing had happened, leaving only the rustling sound of the wind blowing through the leaves.

......

In the morning, Mogiana was still lying on the bed, covering her face with a pillow, recalling all the unspeakable scenes from a few hours ago, feeling both humiliated and shy.

The curse has been lifted, but her body is still very weak. The Lake God Witch knows she will remain like this for a year or two, maybe even several years, needing a long time to recuperate.

Feeling sore and powerless all over, Mogiana could do nothing but wait for others to serve her. For the proud Lake God Witch, this was extremely difficult to accept, but she had no choice; it was her own mistake, and she had to atone for it.

After waiting for a while, the Dark Elf Ollica dressed in a black and white maid outfit, came in with a tray of breakfast, expressionless as she placed the breakfast by the bedside, then bowed and said, ”The breakfast is here, Her Highness Mogiana. If it doesn’t suit your taste, please let me know, I will make something new. If you have any requests, you can also tell me right away, and I will convey them for you.”

With Ollica’s help, Mogiana struggled to turn over, still without any strength. The Lake God Witch noticed Ollica’s sharp ears and the golden ring on them, a flicker of hostility in her eyes turning into a sigh.

Breakfast included hot goat’s milk, toast, bacon, and fruit.

Ollica remained silent, standing by the bed, serving Mogiana as she ate.

Mogiana was indeed hungry. After eating a little with perfect grace, she attempted to ask about what had happened: ”This is the third-floor prayer room, so how did Laine bring me here?”

”The master carried you out from the Lady of the Lake’s tower in the middle of last night. He announced that your injury had been healed by the Lady. Mr. Francois and Miss Surya saw this and went back.” Ollica said calmly.

”Who changed my clothes? This isn’t what I was wearing yesterday!” Mogiana continued to ask.

”I helped you change them.”

”Where is Laine?”

”Last night some Blood Knights attempted to attack the master’s territory. The master is dealing with it now; he should be back soon.” The Dark Elf remained expressionless.

”Then when Laine has time, please call him over.”

”Yes.” The Dark Elf backed away, closing the door as she left. Before Mogiana, Ollica always had a feeling of being scrutinized, which made the Dark Elf uncomfortable.

Similarly, Mogiana was also uncomfortable. Feeling the pain in two places, she barely sat up against the pillow. The soft down mattress gave her comfort, while seeing the Dark Elf made her uncomfortable. She felt the Dark Elf was also imbued with Laine’s spiritual energy. Even without magic power, with her keen eyes, Mogiana could tell what was going on with Ollica at a glance.

After a while, Laine arrived, dressed in a Baron’s Uniform: ”My lady, are you feeling better?”

Mogiana blushed slightly, biting her lips, seemingly unsure of how to speak. After taking some time to calm down, she attempted to ask: ”What happened? Did Blood Knights attack your territory?”

”Yes, but the issue has been resolved.” Laine nodded, moving a chair to sit by the bed: ”Perhaps they are searching for your whereabouts, or it might be a retaliatory attack against me, or both.”
