Warhammer Divine Throne

The Marshal of the Imperial Guard kneeled before the Golden Throne, with an incredulous look in his eyes and a trembling voice, said, ”M-my lord? Your supreme Majesty? This... this truly is the most glorious and memorable day of my life!”

After speaking, tears flowed from the Marshal’s eyes. He had never thought he would witness the moment of the Master’s resurgence. He quickly became overwhelmed with emotion in front of the Emperor, kneeling for a long time without words.

Finally, amid the expectant gazes of all the Imperial Guards, the Emperor spoke; his voice resounded like a great bell, stirring the deepest loyalty within everyone.

”Eleven thousand years have passed. Horus left us irredeemable, with humanity’s despairful struggles at the edge. Section by section of the Galaxy falls into darkness. Invasions repeatedly divide the Empire, pushing this fragmented nation to its limits.”

”Now, the Cadian Gate is also lost, Demons will break into the Physical Universe, and a green, evil tide rages within the Empire’s borders, alongside the Great Devourer from beyond the Star Domain...”

”I only see the Human Empire on the brink of destruction. We have not conquered; we merely continue to exist. We have not thrived; we struggle to survive. We watch as the Galaxy falls into flames, as the grand structure of humanity crumbles...”

”Yet now, I have returned!”

At this moment, the Terra Lords of the Terra Supreme Council rushed into the Throne Hall. The Emperor had long commanded the Imperial Guard to let them in. As they gazed at the figure before the throne, these highest symbols of power in the Human Empire stood stupefied until the Emperor continued speaking.

”Good morning, Lords of Terra!”

”There is no time to delay. We have many matters to address; now, let us begin tackling them one by one!”

”Summon the Great Sage of the Mechanical God Cult, Belisarius Kaur, for an audience!”

Upon receiving the Imperial Guard’s orders, the Great Sage of the Mechanical God Cult immediately set aside his current tasks and went straight to the Imperial Palace.

Nobody knew what the Emperor told him. All that was known is when the Great Sage Kaur emerged from the Palace; he appeared reborn, while a fake, pre-made skeleton was placed on the Golden Throne with the Emperor sparingly injecting some energy into it, creating the illusion that he still sat there.

The revived Emperor issued orders one after another, restructuring Terra’s order. Under his command, the Imperial Guard acted collectively, purging the corrupt officials in the name of the Divine Emperor, reorganizing order.

No one dared to oppose, no one dared to dissent, because the Terra Supreme Lords, upon seeing the Emperor, could do nothing besides kneel in a state of awe and dizziness.

Two days later.

”Prepare the warships! I shall go to Makulage.” Golden flames burned in the Emperor’s eyes.

The entire Galaxy was ablaze; the Empire he single-handedly established was on the verge of destruction. Ignorant and rigid ideologies spread within its borders, and endless problems left even him unsure where to begin addressing them.

Luckily, two loyal sons were not lost; they were merely slumbering.

He needed allies.

Southeastern part of the Galaxy, Ultimate Warrior Star Domain, Makulage.

As expected, the far eastern jewel was under full-scale Chaos invasion. The Ultramarines Guard Fleet was engaged in fierce combat with the Chaos Fleet in orbit.

When a large fleet of the Empire’s navy ships appeared on Makulage’s planetary orbit, the Ultimate Warrior Warlord Marius Calgar thought he was hallucinating, especially when the opposition identified themselves as the Imperial Guard.

”The Imperial Guard? Why would the Imperial Guard appear in this place?” The Warlord asked in confusion to the nearby Chief Think Tank, Varro Tigurius.

”I don’t know, records state that the Imperial Guard never leaves the Palace without the Emperor’s orders.” The Chief Think Tank was also perplexed.

”Then why?” Calgar remained bewildered, but the Warlord quickly realized this was a rare opportunity. Despite not having fought side by side in ten thousand years, the Imperial Guard’s ships perfectly coordinated with the Ultramarines Guard Fleet. In mere minutes, the previously isolated and scattered human fleet united into a poised and ready attack formation, utterly crushing the Chaos Fleet in a pincer movement, leaving only a heap of shipwrecks in its hasty retreat. The few landed Chaos Space Marines were also surrounded and eliminated by the Ultimate Warriors.

The threat was lifted, yet Warlord Calgar felt deep unease. He led the Ultimate Warrior Chapter, standing before that golden landing craft, watching its doors slowly open.

What happened next, he would never forget for the rest of his life.

Swarms of Imperial Guards poured from the craft, brimming with unprecedented pride and glory.

Until that towering figure appeared.

The Emperor wore no helmet, only a Golden Crown on his brow. He revealed his noble visage: a face that gathered all the miracles and radiance of this world, capable of inspiring eternal loyalty from anyone who saw it at a glance.

So solemn, so miraculous, so majestic. Warlord Calgar and all the Ultimate Warriors couldn’t help but kneel. In that moment, all the Space Marines present realized that even as the sun and moon changed, and bodies decayed and withered, they would never forget what they witnessed here.

Calgar found himself stunned without realizing it, followed by utter fervor and madness.
