Warhammer Divine Throne

Just after lying down for a short time, a strong sense of uncertainty and spiritual shock pierced Mr. Laine’s nerves. The Genetic Primarch frowned in pain, struggling to get up and covering his head with his hand.

”What’s wrong, Master?” The outside camp was silent, with only the sound of flames burning and the voices of the Night Watch Knight and the soldiers. Ollica was awakened by Mr. Laine’s movement, as the sleep of a dark elf had always been light.

”It’s nothing, you continue to sleep. I can’t sleep, so I’m going out to take a look.” Laine pressed Ollica’s shoulder and said gently.

The dark elf found it a bit strange, but knowing she couldn’t do anything, she could only nod and agree, continuing to sleep.

Laine got dressed and walked out of the tent, alarming the knights who were keeping watch: ”Mr. Laine? Is there something the matter?”

”Nothing’s wrong, I just want to take a walk outside.” Laine was heavy-hearted; he could feel a strong resonance occurring within his blood and bones, with his spiritual energy and mind constantly alerting him that something significant was happening, yet it all seemed like a fog, leaving him unable to see anything clearly.

The Genetic Primarch looked up at the starry sky, where the endless night sky displayed its brilliance and splendor to Laine.

”It seems, something major has happened?” Laine murmured to himself.

Crossing through the eternal gigantic Subspace storm, crossing countless star systems and cosmic voids.

The Milky Way Galaxy, Solar Element, Holy Terra.

The Human Empire, created by the Master of Humans—the Emperor, was facing yet another crisis of extinction.

The Cadian Gate had fallen.

This planet had always guarded the linkage point between reality and Subspace, ”the Eye of Fear.” With the complete destruction of the Cadian Gate, an even greater darkness descended upon the entire Milky Way Galaxy.

The Empire had never before witnessed such a Subspace storm; the fearful shocks impacted hundreds of planets, with their final desperate calls received before all communications—even interstellar telepathy—fell silent.

Billions of scribes and custodians sought answers. They pored over long-neglected records, even opening the oldest vaults. No explanations or comfort were found, only scattered comparisons. This annihilative storm had already torn the Milky Way apart during the Horus Heresy, but the fragmentation of humanity as seen now had only occurred once before: the Era of Strife. The scant statements frustrated the scholars. Little was known of that nightmare era, but the surviving fragments described a historical period of termination when humanity was nearly annihilated, with few survivors becoming slaves or reverting to barbarians. It was the end of civilization.

The surging Chaos nearly split the Milky Way Galaxy in half, with endless waves of the Chaos Demon Army pouring out from the Eye of Fear, countless star sectors issuing calls for aid... and even falling into complete silence, with the other half of the Milky Way Galaxy already entirely out of contact.

In this dark era, in this desperate era, humanity could only pray to their Supreme Lord, their Divine Emperor, in hopes of redemption.

Yet at this moment, a terrible message from the Mechanical God Cult nearly drove the entire Terra Supreme Council and Judicial Court insane.

The mysterious machinery housing the Emperor’s decaying form had stopped functioning, completely, and stopped functioning.

Endless darkness spread in everyone’s hearts, even the National Church Bishops of the Empire, with the purest and most devout faith, were shrouded in the deepest and most terrifying fear.

Has our Supreme Lord, our Divine Emperor, abandoned us?

No, according to the reports from the Star Speakers, the Light of the Star Torch emitted from Holy Terra has never been so bright in eleven thousand years as it is today.

The usually long and intense meetings fell silent, and finally, these Supreme Lords, who controlled the Empire, made a final decision, the most desperate decision.

They demanded an audience with the Emperor.
