Warhammer Divine Throne

To the Brittania people, Holy Grail Knights are not just a knight class, they are embodiments of the Eight Virtues of Chivalry, true living saints.

Laine thought perhaps Brittania sent a Holy Grail Knight to lead due to this situation.

The main component of the Imperial Army, aside from the standing army, is landowning farmers who enjoy sufficient citizen rights, whereas Brittania does not; Brittania infantry mainly consists of peasants, many of whom might have never left their duchy territory, fighting in foreign lands makes them feel uneasy, Holy Grail Knights would reassure them to the greatest extent and also make these young and reckless Ranger Knights obey orders.

While he was contemplating, footsteps came from behind: ”Are you afraid?”

It was Julius, the blond handsome man dressed in full plate armor, the Pegasus Shield Emblem on him emitting dazzling magic light, his face stern like the freezing ice in winter: ”Facing mere Green Skins, are you afraid?”

”I’m not afraid, I’m just thinking, Yuri, who do you think can collect more Green Skin heads between us?” Laine raised his Warhammer and turned to Julius with a smile.

”I don’t think collecting those pests’ heads has any significance, though I think that’s a good proposal.” Julius stood beside Laine, his golden ponytail fluttering in the air, his sharp eyes staring at Laine, then suddenly said: ”In the past few months, you’ve done a lot, you’ve changed, you’ve become stronger than I imagined.”

”Thanks to the Lady’s grace,” Laine raised his Warhammer, looking at Julius for a while: ”You’ve gotten stronger too.”

The Duke of Winford’s eldest son nodded: ”During practice, I met His Highness the Green Knight, he guided me.”

”The Green Knight?!” Laine was somewhat surprised. ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ noⅴelfire.net

The Green Knight, leader of the Holy Grail Knight Order (also known as Grand Tutor), the strongest knight under the Lake Fairy, bar none; this legendary knight has existed for hundreds of years, guarding the Holy Land of the Lake Fairy, a guide on the Path of the Holy Grail, no one knows his true identity, people only know he appears unpredictably, emerging from waterfalls, roaming ancient forests, with a longsword full of fury, cleaving enemy heads. After all disturbances return to peace, he quietly vanishes into the mists.

Many speculate the Green Knight’s identity, some say the Green Knight is a title, changed by countless owners, some say the Green Knight is the embodiment of the Eight Virtues of Chivalry, others say the Green Knight is none other than King Arthur, the Knight King, in spirit form...

”Congratulations to you then,” Laine was stunned for a moment, but quickly recovered and earnestly congratulated.

”But that’s nothing compared to your accomplishments, I haven’t yet had the chance to duel with a Chaos Champion.” Julius always had furrowed brows and a face of deep chill, looking at Laine, eyes burning with determination: ”I will prove that I am stronger than you.”

”You will have many chances to prove, but not now,” Laine walked to Julius’ side, both men of similar height looking into the night-covered distance ahead: ”We have a tough battle ahead.”

”…” Julius nodded, knowing full well what’s most important: ”When we return to Brittania, you and I shall have a duel.”

”And I will defeat you because I am the Lady’s Champion!” Laine raised his Warhammer, not backing down, knowing the man before him to be a martial arts fanatic, unrecognized without a spar, had it not been for his strength earning the man’s approval, they likely wouldn’t be friends.

”Anyway, I’m glad you chose the Lady.” Julius looked at Laine, then suddenly snorted: ”Your territory is not far from Helunhilde, riding a Pegasus would take only fifteen minutes to reach, we’ll be neighbors in the future.”

”My territory?”

”Yes, the Holy Grail Knights have cleansed it, Her Highness Mogiana named it Baron Gene’s Domain.” Julius said only a few words, then the Duke of Winford’s eldest son suddenly turned and looked behind: ”Surya?”

Laine turned as well, seeing the armored woman knight with dazzling golden hair standing behind them, like a blooming iris, seeing Julius and Laine looking at her, the woman knight smiled brightly: ”Brother, this is the most you’ve said in a day since my adulthood.”

”Pfft!” Laine chuckled, Julius is like that, a martial arts fanatic and man of few words, he said to Julius: ”Yuri, is this why you brought your sister here? You know tomorrow it’s a tough battle, even with many escorts it’d be hard to ensure her safety.”

”Please don’t underestimate me, Mr. Laine.” The woman knight raised her knight longsword, her sea-blue eyes full of seriousness. A strand of golden hair hung from her forehead: ”I will prove to you that I am an excellent knight too.”

Laine could feel she wasn’t joking, thus the Divine Chosen Champion of the Lake Fairy also seriously replied: ”Then I look forward to your performance.”

The night soon passed.

As the first rays of dawn appeared on the horizon, the Human Alliance Army’s camp quickly awakened to the blaring trumpet, soldiers boiled water and cooked, humans and Dwarf Engineers continuously tested artillery, Musketeers cleaned their muskets, Knights donned armor with the help of escorts.
