Triple X System

Vampire. Kyle inwardly repeated a vein bulging at the side of his forehead.

He’d only encountered a vampire being on the same par with his demon wife. Probably even higher and got betrayed without batting an eye.

Sentenced to this planet in guilt and regret in ambition to get revenge.

[I understand you feel extreme rage but making rash decisions now will only make this worse not only for ona. But the entire kingdom.]

Sighs.. you’re right. Listening to snow he calmed himself down. Surpressing his rising killing intent down a bit.

So.. how do we lift the vampire curese? You mentioned something like an artifact?

[Yes. These artifacts though are extremely rare and hard to find on planets occupied by humans. Mainly due to the fact they are imbued and forged with dark energy. Earning the the name curse relics.]

Nodding kyle added that bit of info to tge back of gis mind. Knowing he’d definitely encounter one or more if these cursed relics in future.

[I can’t sense a skill or speel in place.] Snow clicked her tongue in annoyance.

No matter how broad or precise her scan was there was no trace of this mystery vampire or his presence anywgere.

[Wait.. that’s it!] She excitedly exclaimed piquing Kyle’s interest.

You figured it out?

[Of course dimwit. They don’t call me lady luck for no reason] snow proudly spoke with a bold to e.

Yeah~ nobody calls you that. Lady luck. Kyle teasingly said making snow flare up.

[Hmph! You’re lucky I’m in a good mood lesser being.] She scoffed making kyle chuckle a bit. Amused how his once cold system had the ability to fool around when their lives could end any moment now.

[I wasn’t certain about it before because there was a combination of several added blood to that huge red line.]

Added blood? You- you’re not saying that’s blood right?

[Unfortunately it is. That attack over there is generated from the blood of ona and the several people present here.]

Hearing her Kyle’s eyes widened at this fact.

But wouldn’t they already be dead from blood loss? It was superstitious how they were still alive after loosing this much blood.

Considering the size of that blood like slash line hovering above the ground.

[Exactly. I thought the same exact thing at first but it’s not just they’re blood. Infact if my predictions are correct about 90% of that blood belongs to the mysterious vampire.]

Listening to his system he felt a bit relieved knowing he wasn’t too late to stop this madness.

Standing up his legs were a bit wobbly but he gritted his teeth through the fatigue.

So what should i do? I’m not exactly equipped with skills related in finding curse relics.

[Idiot..] snow sighed amazed at Kyle’s intelligence.

[There are no cursed relics present at least not anymore.]

Not anymore? So there was one present?

[Yes. Usually cursed relics grants and increase in physical and spiritual attributes but the can only be wielded by users of the dark arts.] She paused letting it sink in.

So basically anyone able to use dark energy like me can wield a cursed relic.

[Bingo! But over the years through various dark methids known as incantations and rituals beings with Superior high intelligence found a way to transfer there energy to a non dark user.]

[Which in turn gives some parts if the dark user essence. Like a possession. Though the method varies it’s still the same outcome. The effects only last temporarily for a very limited amount of time.]

Nodding kyle was glad he had snow as his guide. He didn’t want to admit it but she was literally his lifesaver in tough situations relating to the dark world like this.

[Awwn~ don’t tell me you’re falling for me kyle conner. You might just break Lilith’s heart.] Snow teased in a seductive voice.

And.. you ruined it.

[Anyways. Ona probably got in contact with a cursed relic somehow and got dark energy temporarily transferred to her. From my study this seems to be a blood relic judging it’s a vampire possession. The vampire is able to control ona using the link. So we destroy the materialization of the blood link. We hopefully severe the connection.]

Inwardly nodding kyle now had something to work with. His mission was simple destroy the blood line, severe the connection, save ona.

But how though? Death’s call would be ineffective against it as it used chains and wasn’t exactly useful in this case.

My best bet would be dark flames. He concluded to his first and primary demon skill.

He’d more of less subconsciously levelled it up during his time in vaanderwood and his multiple traials in the wasteland and hell. So it was pretty stronger than before and he was confident in it’s effects.

[Dark flames would be useless against that thing.] Snow butted in his mind stopping him in track.

What do you mean? Kyle frowned a bit confused at snow’s words.

[As you know dark flames and death call focus on both physical and spiritual attack. 50% for both sides, which would be futile against blood related attacks itself.]

So what should i do? I can’t exactly go in blazing at punch that thing. Kyle spoke in sacarsm, rolling his eyes slightly.

[That’s exactly what you should do.]

Are you serious? Not onoy would i be killed but I’ll be haunted even in hell for being killed so mediocre.

He was certain he wasn’t going to the celestial city but he didn’t care one bit!

[You won’t if you follow my instructions. Activate shadow walk before activating last stand.]

Last stand? He’d almost forgotten about that skill. Mainly because it wasn’t meant to be used frequently only in realy dire situations.

And the buffs he got were a lot compared to his physical stats. But the exchange for power was just too great. Earning it the name last stand.

[Understandably but technically, if that attack hits we’re doomed. There won’t be life existing within a 50 mile radius from here. Because not only is that a special blood that sucks the blood of living things. Until there is nothing, expanding exponentially until there’s non life existing on this planet.]

Gulping, the weight of this situation struck him hard like a bat. Putting two and two together he knew there was no other way to end this than snow’s plan.

[Shadow walk activated!]

[Last stand activated!]

He immediately felt the rush of energy from his chest flowing into his entire system. Shaking both his legs a bit he got into a sprinting stanxe aiming to finish this in one go.

Bam!

The ground beneath his feet cracked from his explosive force. Shooting out like a dash of black line reaching ona’s location in short time.

Too much.. air. Kyle grunted immediately feeling the great turbulence of air entering ona’s radius. Even his explosive force was affected slowing down greatly from the generated wind.

Not stopping he persevered against the 9dds stacked against him. Adding strength to his legs rocketing off the ground. His fist tightly clenched about to deliver the final blow.

The huge dormant blood slash suddenly reacted as if sensing his presence. Shooting out multiple blood spikes towards his direction.

Pfft~ your attacks won’t work against me in this-

His words got caught in his throat feeling multiple blood spikes pierced his body. Forcing him to cancel his attack retreating back to a safe distance.

I got hit even in shadow walk form? Disbelief written all over his eyes. The confident smirk tugging at the back of his lips faded. Failed by his concealment skill.

[Direct hit!]

[-40hp]

The system notification flashed before his eyes. But this was by far the least of his problems as more soon followed.

[-5hp]

[User has been struck with a blood relic. Hp will deducted by 5 every 2 seconds!]

Great.. he frowned unsure whether to laugh or curse his luck.

[Shit! Shit! Damnit, that tricky bastard!]

He wasn’t the only one cursing as his friendly AI companion was also dislleased by this.

Someone’s having a bad day. Kyle joked coughing up a mouthful of blood. The blood spikes were still stuck in him sapping out his hp like a leach. And no matter how hard he pulled they didn’t budge.

[You’d react much worse if you knew hiw screwed you were. Aside from cursed relics there’s another type which is blood relics. These relics are extremely hard to make mainly because they are made entirely from the user’s blood.]

Like a soul weapon? Kyle asked having a brief understanding.

[Exactly. Just like soul weapons can’t be destroyed the same applies for blood weapons. Meaning the effects of the relic remains permanent until the affected succumbs to death or the user cancels such effect.]

Well don’t this just keeps getting better and better. Sighing a bit kyle was distraught hearing snow. He’d faced far more excruciating life or death instances so this was just another phase.

Thinking of what to do his attention was drawn to the front. There a fugure emerged from the crowd with his usual cold expression. The wind gently caressing his hair.

Raising his hand a bit he walked forward. Uttering but a single word.

Dispel. Troy calmly spoke. And like a command the huge blood slash like line exploded into tiny blood drops falling to the ground.

Not stopping he disappeared feom spot, appearing behind ona. Time seemed to pause a bit until her head rolled off her neck thudding to the ground.

Did- did he just kill ona? Kyle stuttered stunned in place.
