Triple X System

[it’s a trap!] snow yelled, but it was already too late. Like a command his demon energy was being sucked into the orb along with his mana. Glowing more brightly in contrast to receiving more energy.

I-i can’t stop. He grunted trying to severe the tie but couldn’t. Helplessly defenseless as whatever little demon energy and mana he had left depleted into the purple orb.

[demon energy has been depleted..]

[mana has been depleted]

[no corruption detected, transferring back host consciousness.]

Against his will his sense of time faded, being transported back to reality.

What happened? He questioned with a blank expression, still unsure what transpired. It was a simple insert and retract, which played out perfectly in his mind. Having done it a couple of times, so there wasn’t meant to be any complications.

Mh-mm. confused? I get that a lot. A she-devil voice pulled him from his thoughts.

In front was none other than lynn, with a mocking smirk tugging at the corners of her lip. By her side was lumia, shackled in purple chains with a clog placed in her mouth.

They failed.. his heart faltered realizing with no doubt who the victor was.

The once rocky plains filled with multiple crack lines and several craters formed in testament to the gruesome battle which recently took place.

You know.. I was worried at first, seeing my father sent a group of peasant freaks. Then I thought, what was he driving at? Lynn softly uttered stopping in front of kyle.

Move dammit. He inwardly screamed trying to lift his arms but his body was unresponsive to his commands. His hand and legs bounded by the same purple chains holding lumia.

Drawing strength from his body leaving him in a weak and vulnerable state.

At first I thought you were the sacrificial diversion. You know, to pave way for the independent course. Then I realized he was actually serious. She awkwardly chuckled a wild look beaming in her pupils.

I mean it’s hilarious. The all great and powerful king, reduced to meddling with peasants? What a joke! Slightly shaking her head her right-hand glowed purple. Raising it the ground rose a bit, forming a small chair which she gracefully sat on.

But then I recalled he doesn’t make a move without anticipating the future. Her eyes were fixated on him like a viper. An intrigued gaze etched in them.

You’re a tricky one. Your aura may seem weak, but there’s one thing I know. No weak peasant could possess two auras. Her smile broadened waiting for kyle’s shocked reaction.

So? If you’re trying to say you got fooled by a peasant, you’re weirder than I thought.

Hahaha! Pitiful sarcasm, I like it. She applauded, earning a dry scoff from kyle.

Now while that was a red flag. She excitedly continued. It didn’t give enough reason to be suspicious with such a low aura.

But then the impossible happened.. you managed to dodge not one, but two of my attacks.

That was an attack? Jeez.. now I understand why you were banished. He taunted making a thick green vein appear on lynn’s forehead.

With a light smile. I see you’re brimming with humor. Well, here’s one of mine.

Gently running her index finger through his lips, it completely vanished without a trace.

What the hell. His pupils squinted, no more feeling where his mouth once was. Giving the expression of ’zipping your lips’ a whole new meaning.

Impressive right. A light giggle escaped her mouth with a proud look of accomplishment.

Now where were we? Oh yeah.. though am not certain how you suppressed your aura or obtained that artifact. The skills you displayed gave you away as not ordinary.

Her playful expression taking a sinister turn getting serious in the blink of an eye. A chilly sensation running down kyle spine feeling the killing intent from lynn.

Releasing high frequency sound rings to disrupt my waves. Turning your body into shadows to avoid my beams. And my favorite.. now correct me if am wrong but you projected your consciousness to steal my staff. Am I right?

Mfrmm..

Oh, silly me. Skimming her fingers through his mouth, his lips materialized out of thin air.

If you knew all that then why keep me alive? Just kill me and get over it. There was no put in putting up a fight. Hed went all out even unlocking mana but had failed in defeating lynn.

Giving up so soon? Has your race grown weaker over the years. She said making kyle raise a brow.

She knows am not human? He could tell by the expression on her face she was onto him. Having a valid sense of auras, she immediately distinguished both his demon and mana aura.

[she doesn’t know you’re a demon. While demons are spread widely across different globes there are still some not infested by them. When you awoke I did a deep sweep of the planet for safety purposes and the results came clean. No signs of any lingering demon prescence.]

Wait you can do that? Why didn’t you implement such idea on earth. Kyle frowned at snow not believing his ears.

[I wasn’t compatible with such vast search then as we were still assimilating] shrugging off the topic for now his attention shifted back to the killer lady in front.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. Am just a pesky peasant. He acted but lynn wasn’t buying it.

Her aura radiating with power in sync with the violet orb. Clenching her fist, the chains wrapped around his hand and legs responded. Tightening their grip, digging into his skin drawing out blood. Soaking the chains dying it red.

The stigmatic flashing of the system screen alerting his health points were being drained by the blood sucking chains.

I can detect you lying through your aura, there’s no point in denying. Releasing her clenched up fist the chains grip on kyle’s body faltered growing a bit loose.

Standing up she outstretched her hands to kyle head. I should kill you now but where’s the fun in that? Torturing would be more sublime.

Below his knees the same symbolic rune which was previously used materialized. The crushing weight infatuating his upper body face first to the ground. The immense force directed at both upside and down.

[warning substantial pressure detected!]

[host is being compressed]

[time left until death: 60secs]

His heart throbbed in pain giving out to the reprimanding force weighing down on it. Blood seeping out from his eyes and mouth. The snapping cracks of bones echoing in pace to his low grunts. Unable to assemble any strength in his lungs to scream.

Am going to die of suffocation. One of his two hearts had already exploded filling some parts of his lungs with blood. Making it harder to breathe with such blockage preventing air passage.

I can’t hear their heartbeats. His gaze lingered on the two unconscious bodies up front. There was a faint thudding sound coming from the black monster. Indicating the heartbeat was low growing fainter with each passing second.

The second seemed to be in critical condition. Nothing as a faint sound coming from the mimic.

I should’ve evolved. He regretted his action for not taking the decision to evolve when presented to by the system.

[time remaining: 30secs.]

Half a minute had passed meaning he had 30 seconds left to live. His vision was hazy with silence dawning in on him from his busted eardrums. Just when he thought he was going to die the immense force suddenly vanished.

Heal. Lynn commanded hands still stretched forth.

His broken bones being reassembled along with cells forming brand new layers of flesh. Patching up injuries way faster beyond current medical technology. With the formation a second heart replacing the former.

h-how many abilities? Kyle stuttered in a low tone. He’d theorized she only possessed at most three auras. Based on the skills she displayed but he could tell this was an entirely different ability related to healing.

Why don’t you guess? She spoke with a friendly smile.

Four. Kyle uttered making her abruptly burst into laughter.

4? Wait.. you seriously thought I had 4 abilities.. haha! Am flattered. Shaking her head, she cancelled her skill seeing kyle had completely been restored.

I understand your motives for believing I posses 4 auras but you’re wrong. As hard as it seems I was indeed born with only one ability. She blurted making kyle’s eye widen.

Bullshit.

Its true.. as the first daughter and then heir to the throne it was predicted I would become more powerful than my father wielding more abilities than his. But when they discovered I obtained just one ability I was resented.

Her tone was like a growing rumbling recalling her childhood. The admirations, the appraisals all stopped. Leaving nothing but a disgraceful shame to the family. Her dam was building up but she fought the urge to maintain composure.

Until this little runt came along and stole the show leaving me with nothing. Day in and out I trained till my body couldn’t, engaging in quests to redeem myself but what did I get? Mockery and rejection.

Wiping her eyes, a bitter smile wavered on her face. Her aura flickering in response to the spike in her emotions.

Anyways.. its In the past now. There’s no turning back. Snapping her fingers, the chains wrapped around kyle and lumia’s body glowed. Tightening their grip to their skin, exhausting both of their life force.

Dammit.. I can’t die. Grinding his teeth, he strived to stand refusing to die. He still had a mission he vowed to complete and death wouldn’t stop him.

Feeling his life rapidly draining the katana unexpectedly began rattling. Shaking in its grasp as if responding to a command of sort. The energy emitting from it growing stronger in passing seconds giving off a more darker blue ethereal glow.

Another attack from him? The thought crossed lynn’s mind watching the katana’s strange conduct. Unlike an attack the weapon didn’t outright project itself towards her or release an active skill which was strange.

It doesn’t matter I’ll just- her voice ceased feeling the atmosphere turn ice cold.

No.. she muttered seeing the katana emit an outburst of energy. Transparent blue light enveloping it as it transformed from bottom upwards. Sprouting out feet in glass heels, wearing long white stocking. Complementing the snowy white skin.

Is that? The transformation was almost complete but he could already tell who this mysterious figure was from her elegant blue dress.
