Triple X System

High concentration of mana and will power? Listening to snow he had a hint on what she meant. Beings with high concentration of will power are literally termed strong. Not only have they harnessed mana than regular people but also implemented it in any way possible.

To enhance their physique, project far more lethal skills and attack, fortify the mind. The list goes on and on..

At first he’d just thought mana was the energy used by humans to activate skills but he was wrong. It didn’t just serve as a mere form of energy but much more. Being around for as far long as ages it served as the very core of a planet’s existence.

[as you know mana is energy and energy can be implemented in various way. But it’s speculated that beings who’ve harnessed mana into a purer state can utilize pure mana.]

Utilize.. you mean use it raw?

[exactly.. mana it acts like water, Flowing freely through a planet. It takes on any shape and form, bending to the will of its user. Like activation of skills, mixing of potions, creation of weapons ability and even life itself]

Hearing snow his heart thumped faster beneath his chest. The thrill of learning new info from his system excited him, but this.. it was just too good.

Having read some fantasy books, he posed the basic knowledge on mana. But none never went further into details about manas uses.

You mentioned mana could be used to create life, how?

[every living thing created is a vessel of complex structure. Like a seed once planted and watered it grows, the same for a living being. All humans born who uses mana contain a core which is formed before birth through extracting mana from surrounding environments in the womb of the mother.]

[some mothers body aid in the speed of receiving mana for the offspring faster while some don’t. this process is called assimilation. A term were the mother shares parts of her mana acquired with the child hence hasting the offspring core formation.]

So that’s how a core is formed. From the few fantasy books, he read from online sites in Tokyo. Most mc’s using mana didn’t contain a core and the ones who did formed one after they were born. After meeting certain requirements and coming of an age. Or performing a certain awakening rite, to activate such.

[don’t believe everything you read kyle. Most are just theories at most speculations and not the real thing. To form a core isn’t just an awakening process it’s a creation of the being’s life force. Just like with demons and other beings sheltering nonentity energy.] snow said leaving kyle more lost in thoughts.

Everything I thought I’d learnt was all a lie. The truth was shocking and he had to face facts he was still like a needle in a haystack in proceedings of this new world.

Kyle! Xias voice pulled him from his trance.

Oh no.. I was so engrossed with snow I forgot we were still in the desert. As a demon he had somewhat level of tolerance to heat and fire attack. But his parents were not so lucky to have such pleasure out in a scorching dessert.

If it found that beast meat then there’s possibly a shade somewhere. It was just a hypothesis but he assumed there was somewhere with a little bit more shade from the sun and hopefully water nearby.

With over 200 degrees in this desert there was no way a beast could survive in it for so long without taking cover to rest or eat and drink.

[no matter the power scale every living being has its limits. Good thinking master.] snow butted in, with a light cheer.

I haven’t heard that before. Shaking his head went over to the huge piece of meat. Confirming its legitimacy by feeling it and smelling it.

Where did you find this? He asked staring at the mimic still obediently knelt beside xia. Glancing at him the mimic averted his gaze uninterested.

Answer. Xia frowned digging her fingers into the mimic’s skull causing it to scream in pain. The goo on its body vibrating in a static response. Sightly lifting its hand it pointed to a spot.

Nodding kyle along with his parent headed towards that direction in search for shade and something more.

You mentioned mana could be used to create things. I understand the whole assimilation process but what other life could it be used to make? He asked not fully grasping the whole concept of mana.

[when a core is formed what is known as mana veins are then created. Yes. These are different from normal veins passing blood, instead transporting mana to the being’s core and directing it throughout the system.]

[which are not only crucial for the being’s growth but also vital for the activation of skills and direction of mana flow.]

Mana veins? I’ve never heard of that. The word sounded peculiar to him not having come across it.

So, you’re saying beings who can use mana has mana veins? He asked to which she replied.

[yes, the same goes for demons and other unidentified species and types of energy they use.] snow explained in her demeanor monotone voice.

The awareness of there being more than two types of energy was perplexing. But the chances of high-powered beings utilizing such energy was captivating.

What about gods, and primordials? He’d not faced an actual god before nor encountered one. Only two primordials, whom initialized the meeting.

[it still applies. Every living being must undergo the process. Eventually progressing the ranks and breaking boundaries. Thus, reaching god rank and above. As for primordials though am unable to say, because there hasn’t been existence of a being to attain suck power.]

What do you mean there hasn’t been? What about the light? The creator of angels?

[am sorry but there’s no such record in my database.] she indifferently spoke, making kyle more wary.

Just like I thought, she’s been infiltrated. Not buttressing on the matter, he took some more steps, arriving just at the entrance to an oasis. Containing a small pond with crystal clear water. Surrounded by some tall trees in a circle form.

Theres no sign anyone or thing was present here. He frowned scanning the place not seeing any traces of a presence occupying here.

Weird.. there not even a remnant of aura. He didn’t feel the aura of an individual or beast in the slightest. Since his encounter with the labyrinth his sense of perception was disrupted.

[am picking up faint traces of beast energy, about a dozen of them. Judging by dim aura left I’d say they’re far from here now.]

Nodding he was relieved hearing that, not attempting to engage in a side quest.

Speaking of which, I haven’t been receiving quests from the system. As a system meant to aid him reach his potentials, quests were the pinnacle objectives to complete. In return for rewards or punishment for failure to do so.

[I wouldn’t necessarily say so. The system is designed to dish out quest based on certain factors it deems fit. Mostly in difficult situations to push you past your limit.]

So, you’re saying there hasn’t been a recent challenging situation? It was hard to believe her words having squared off with the endless ants at sandhill castle. Then the mimic and finally a freaking primordial whose powers are still unknown.

[exactly.. the mimic in that stage wasn’t considered a threat to you in your current level. Not including the fact you wield a legendary tier weapon.]

So this is what it feels like to be overpowered. A weird grin formed on his lips hearing his system praise him.

It was no doubt he wasn’t a shadow of his former self and still evolving. Through harsh circumstances almost claiming his life.

[trust me, you’re nowhere near being overpowered.] snow bluntly spoke, instantly killing whatever built up aura in him.

Great way to boost my confidence, am really hyped. Kyle ironically rolled his eyes, already used to his system antics.

I wonder how they’re doing? A light sigh escaped his lips staring upwards to the sky. His mind drifting off to his women. Several days had passed since their separation, the numbers slowly increasing.

The constant reminder of failure arched into his heart. Unfulfilled promises and broken dreams all swirled at the back of his mind like a plague.

How could everything change so sudden.. we had everything planned out. His voice barely above a whisper, tightly clenching his fist.

It felt just like yesterday, a vivid image inscribed in his memory. The thought of being helpless while you watch the ones you love taken away from you. It was sickening, far worse than death.

Wait.. if the labyrinth is like a portal connecting to the past, present and future then what if I could go back and fix it. The idea sounded solid, pictured perfectly in his mind. But there were too many hinderances obstructing it.

First he would have to locate sandhill castle which was currently off the grid. Then battle a never ending nest of ants with super steel like exoskeletons. Eventually making his way to the labyrinth.

But his success wasn’t yet guaranteed as he still had to deal with the primordial. Which was going to be one heck of a daunting task.

Its worth a try. He sighed not giving up, resilience burning in his eyes.

[though I have no records of such labyrinth, there’s a possibility you might’ve subconsciously astral projected.] snow interrupted his thoughts.
