Three Towers Game

No one noticed Wen Xishu and Zheng Zai, at least not that large tree.

This big tree’s base score was very high, and after winning a round, it already had more than 1,300 points.

Points represent strength.

It also loved to show off its points.

At this moment, its score lit up above the big tree’s head.

The crowd was in an uproar. After the second round of card drawing, to still retain such a high score...

This tree was actually so confident?

While points are not combat strength, they do directly indicate something.

Is it possible... that this tree’s score is actually several thousand, but even after using many cards, it still has more than 1,300 points left?

The big tree said:

”If you don’t behave, I don’t mind using you to supplement the points. You should have noticed that killing people grants points.”

This was actually a little secret, but now, the tree exposed it directly.

Some of the weaker regular species shivered in fear.

The rare species too dared not confront elite-grade trees, all calculating their own moves.

”Since no one objects, I won’t resort to killing easily. To win this group competition, order and cooperation are necessary.”

”Next, you, go light up statue number one.”

There were a hundred statues, each with a hundred different forms, and each with a unique number.

The vast majority of the creatures present considered the number as secondary information; the core information was the statue’s form.

Statue number one was a lamp.

A lamp symbolized direction. From its image, even if the lamp was the wrong answer... theoretically, it shouldn’t lead to too much slaughter.

The big tree thought so, too, but it also considered selecting the path with the least number of deaths first.

Its vines pierced the ground, and soon vines appeared beside a creature, which indeed was the weakest of the regular species.

Though the big tree was strong, with five thousand participants, it wasn’t sure if there were any other beings of its level hidden among them.

The tree was particular, having only one regular species attempt statue number one.

If it were numbers seven or ten, it would control the corresponding number of people to go.

Wen Xishu watched silently as Zheng Zai whispered:

”Younger Brother Wen... have you noticed anything?”

Wen Xishu shook his head slightly:

”Currently, there are too few clues... The tree is trying to find answers based on the statue’s shape, but I think it’s wrong.”

”The statues have two pieces of information: shape and number. The last round was a numerical puzzle, and this round is highly likely too.”

Zheng Zai had figured out the continuation from the last round.

But another puzzle seemed to be the mirror, ten square mirrors reflecting accurately... It was a hint that ”length and width” were the same.

So Younger Brother Wen’s answer at that time was square numbers from one to ten, because each number can be split into n times n.

Wen Xishu said:

”In this round, I think it might still be a numerical puzzle... but very subtle, and there might even be variables.”

”For now, all we know is that the number represents the scale of death, and the shape represents the method of death.”

”But since there are sacrifices, let them go. The tree’s choice wasn’t wrong; if you don’t know the rules, choosing statue number one is correct since only one person needs to die. Besides, it knows how to play psychological games well.”

Zheng Zai understood too. The big tree first arranged a group of weaklings.

Though the tree was an elite kind, everyone’s abilities were stripped, leaving only the competition of inherent strength.

The tree’s large size made its power undeniable, and it chose the weakest regular species.

Everyone accepted this, as the weak are meant to be fodder for the strong. At least, in this eerie contest, in the eyes of doomsday monsters, everything is logical.

This reasonable rule was beneficial even for those rare species.

Thus, the tree’s rule naturally gained the recognition of certain rare species.

Even if the regular species wanted to resist, they would face more than just the tree.

Zheng Zai had to sigh, grateful that Younger Brother Wen had absurd stats and could draw many peerless cards, otherwise... the likelihood of him going to light up a statue in this round would have been high.

”The host said, whoever lights up the statue, if it isn’t the correct answer, that person will surely die...”

”But some others will also die randomly, and the range of randomness is probably related to the person lighting the statue.”

Wen Xishu had to admit, this big tree saved him a lot of trouble. Its considerations were quite thorough.

Next, all that was needed was to quietly wait for the result of the lighting.

Ten key numbers.

First, the pattern from the last round can be ruled out, but different patterns don’t mean different numbers, so this time, will correct answers appear?

Wen Xishu waited silently.

The regular species chosen by the tree was already wrapped in the plant’s vines, which could control the regular species like puppet strings, forcing it to touch the mechanism to light the statue.

Was this the tree’s inherent power?

Wen Xishu was still cautious of this large tree. But now, his attention was on the statue.

The originally stone-like lamp suddenly shed its gray color, gradually taking on the hue of a bronze lamp.

Wen Xishu also noticed two blue butterflies and three red butterflies appearing on the statue. To be specific, they actually appeared before the statue was lit, staying there for a while.
