Three Towers Game

Wen Xishu wasn’t entirely stuck without an invitation, but he wanted to know why each step he took seemed to be the right one.

He even achieved an unforeseen ending, integrating the three persons into one.

He no longer worried about the invitation, but he tangled over where he went wrong.

The Black Deceitful Head said:

”Because you’ve reached the hidden ending of the Deceit Tower. The obsession was dissolved beyond imagination, so they think this is the best fate trajectory. They don’t need you to change the destiny trajectory any further.”

”Does that make sense to you?”

Wen Xishu pondered for a moment.

He seemed to understand.

Exploring the Deceit Tower often feels like a rule-based game, where you decipher mysteries and explore, eventually reaching a certain stage and obtaining an invitation.

With the invitation, you could better alter the fate trajectories of these people from the start.

But this time, the obsessions, which are Zhou Fei, Chris, and Britney’s obsessions... feel the current ending is the best.

Their fate trajectories don’t need alteration.

Being here, Wen Xishu became even more baffled:

”No...no, they are merely obsessions, they have no such thing as a fate trajectory in the Deceit Tower. Why would they think their fate trajectory doesn’t need alteration?”

”If I got the invitation, perhaps I could have helped Zhou Fei save his brother, helped Britney find her family, and helped Chris break through his inner guilt.”

The Black Deceitful Head’s smile turned mysterious:

”Think carefully, are they important?”

Wen Xishu didn’t understand.

”What do you mean?”

The Black Deceitful Head said:

”Your performance gained recognition from the obsessions, what originally belonged to them, they decided to give to you, understand?”

”Meaning, once this thing falls into your hands, it’s already the best ending. If you return to the Desire Tower and change the trajectory, they may not be able to give this thing to you again.”

”That’s how the hidden ending is. Even though you didn’t gain three powerful allies for the future Three Towers War this time, you gained something more important.”

Heart of Fusion, isn’t it?

Though it was an orange item, Wen Xishu couldn’t figure out its use.

However, he seemed to grasp the logic here.

It’s no wonder, at the moment when the Trinity broke, Britney, Zhou Fei, and Chris, from a state of fusion into a single person, reverted to being three separate individuals.

Wen Xishu seemed to have found another way to play the Deceit Tower.

”Having an invitation is a talent-searching game. That is to say, you believe the most crucial aspect of the task is people.”

”Focusing on people means getting an invitation and rescuing people is paramount. This is what Lord Virgo and Lord Gemini adore most...”

The Black Deceitful Head suddenly covered his mouth.

Evidently, it spoke too joyfully, losing control momentarily.

Wen Xishu remarked:

”Those constellations are not unfamiliar entities to me.”

The Black Deceitful Head laughed awkwardly:

”Alright, alright, after all, there are ways not centered on people. For instance, in this case, the most crucial thing is this object emitting three-color light; the ending you achieved is obtaining this.”

”This also relates to some of your actions.”

Wen Xishu reflected for a moment, discovering his biggest maneuver was exploiting a bug to max out the levels of the three characters, all unlocking the Fifth Stage—Will Affinity.

Therefore, to obtain the invitation...the proper way is to slowly explore, deeply experience the past of the three characters, and gradually understand enough to unlock the fourth stage.

But if you violently utilize the other to recall and directly acquire memories...indeed, you can max out in one go, but it’s hard to establish deep connections with the characters.

Naturally, there’s no invitation.

Wen Xishu chuckled because now he understood the Deceit Tower’s mechanism better, and this too showed he didn’t err; he merely chose a different solution approach.

”I see, I get it. So, they think I can obtain this thing...is more vital than them acquiring a new destiny trajectory. Turns out, what can be gained in the Deceit Tower is power and items, whereas the Desire Tower is where destiny is changed.”

The Black Deceitful Head smiled and said:

”See, I told you, don’t skip levels, follow your proper steps. Some lower-level stages, though ranking low, might not come with bad rewards. Your first Three Tower Sequence was purely bestowed by the Deceit Tower, wasn’t it?”

”And likewise in the future, don’t rely too heavily on the invitation; some Deceit Tower stages don’t require returning to alter anything in the Desire Tower. Moreover, what you get in the Deceit Tower could be a key item for some future level.”

Wen Xishu looked at the Heart of Fusion and asked:

”What exactly does this Heart of Fusion do?”

The Black Deceitful Head replied:

”Figure it out for yourself; haven’t you already experienced it?”

Wen Xishu was taken aback:

”It allows me to merge with others?”

The Black Deceitful Head maintained its same demeanor:

”Perhaps, who knows. Once you find out, be sure to let me know, yayoohoohoo.”

Wen Xishu resisted the urge to roll his eyes and asked another question:

”That Magic City, is it Leo’s territory?”

This question had Wen Xishu bracing for the guide’s triple confirmation.

But surprisingly, the Black Deceitful Head nodded:

”Yes, that’s one of Lord Leo’s territories.”
