Three Towers Game

The white light began cutting through the surrounding scene, with intersecting white lines rendering the surroundings blurry.

Finally, Wen Xishu felt like an out-of-body experience.

He saw Zhou Fei, Chris, and Britney, a trinity, their bodies switching irregularly.

Everyone’s facial expressions weren’t exactly joyful, but there were subtle differences.

Britney seemed confused and bewildered, while Chris appeared to have gained some redemption, with a sense of mission on his face, and Zhou Fei carried a trace of fear.

But before long, as Wen Xishu was about to head to the guide’s location, he saw Zhou Fei, Chris, Britney...

The fusion ceased, and they separated.

At the moment of separation, all three seemed relieved.

...

...

The door and clock appeared once more.

The often hard-to-define laughter of the Black Deceitful Head did not manifest this time.

Of course, it was still smiling, this time with a toothless grin. It looked like it wasn’t scheming anything good.

Wen Xishu promptly checked his own panel. As illustrated—

This time, without an invitation, entering the Desire Tower resulted in the Anti-Magic Value matching the Deceit Tower. This uptick was very slight indeed.

Wen Xishu could accept it, considering perhaps this was the normal pace of tower climbing. A gradual increase; one cannot make large gains every time.

Yet he still felt a bit disappointed:

”Sequence, rune, nothing new... Sequence slots, item slots have increased, which should be due to the minimalist effect of the Mad Dice; six Anti-Magic Value points certainly can’t be considered nothing, after all, I still need a lot more Anti-Magic Value to unravel the secrets of the Wen Family’s Old Mansion.”

”But for two days of effort, just this result? Really feels like a waste—”

Just as Wen Xishu was pondering, perhaps lower tiers really couldn’t yield anything very valuable to him… he suddenly saw in the item bar, a new orange tool.

Even among oranges, there are distinctions, such as Scorpion Knife, Phoenix Gloves·Resolution, pseudo·Destiny Compass—these are high-grade orange items.

Killer Soccer seemed rather ordinary by comparison.

Certainly, the Mad Dice is unquestionably above all.

This time, Wen Xishu’s feeling was that he found something remarkable, at least on the scale of the Scorpion Knife.

”Yahoo~ You’ve made quite the haul this time, as I said, don’t skip levels; incrementally, maybe some levels can’t give you a high panel boost, sequence boost, but they may hide crucial pieces to future levels.”

The Black Deceitful Head remarked.

This time the White Desire Head was in a dormant state; Wen Xishu guessed this was related to not having an invitation.

Wen Xishu also gazed at this object:

”Heart of Fusion…”

It was a sphere emitting three-color luminosity. One-third white, one-third red, and one-third black.

It matched the Three Towers, the three heads of the guide, and the three colors of the Mad Dice.

However, Wen Xishu couldn’t check the attributes of this item.

The description was simple—[He removed his own heart, split it into three, but now, it’s unified, though the item has passed into someone else’s hands.]

This seemed more like the item’s history, without any function.

Wen Xishu commented:

”What’s its use? What’s my basic reward?”

The Black Deceitful Head responded:

”Sixth-grade completion, naturally. Also, a sixth-grade facility—Good People Association.”

Wen Xishu paused:

”What’s this place for?”

The Black Deceitful Head’s smile curved like an inverted crescent moon:

”Relax, the Good People Association is different from what you’ve experienced, the Good People Association is a mutual aid society; once an evildoer enters its premises, they are prone to strong feelings of remorse, and their inner goodness is easily inspired.”

”For instance, a habitual drinker would immediately feel guilty about drinking, thereby generating a strong resolve to quit.”

”Naturally, this includes quitting lust.”

This might be the favorite episode on forums, but for Wen Xishu, it had little significance.

”Alright, talk about this Heart of Fusion.”

The Black Deceitful Head’s smile slightly waned:

”This certainly is a nostalgic item, after all, we three were once fused by its power. Yet something went awry during the fusion process.”

Wen Xishu was astounded. The guide was made this way?

”Is this a very ancient item?”

”Indeed.” The Black Deceitful Head affirmed.

Wen Xishu seemed to grasp a clue:

”Then, this time, not obtaining an invitation… is it because this actually stems from an ancient thread?”

The Black Deceitful Head shook his head:

”Not all Deceit Towers provide invitations. You are climbing the Deceit Tower, not the Desire Tower. Maybe from your perspective, the Desire Tower can alter the past, but if the past is altered, does it really hold meaning?”

”Granting certain targets new destinies is the characteristic of the Desire Tower.”

”Endowing oneself with eccentric attributes and excellent entry points is the characteristic of the Deceit Tower.”

”Influencing certain existences, future fortune, and bringing powerful battle attributes to oneself is the characteristic of Slaughter Tower.”

”You belong to the Deceit Tower; in reality, as long as you acquire certain key items or peculiar attributes, you are earning gains, not necessarily finding an ideal entry point each time.”

Wen Xishu insisted:

”Then what’s the reason this time; why wasn’t there an invitation at all?”
