The Golem Mage

749: Training, Preparations and Plans 1 749: Training, Preparations and Plans 1 The day went on with Alec assigning six sub-leaders under him, with Gabriel taking charge as the sub-leader of the Tier 6 mages.

Ironically, when it was time to compete for the Tier 5 sub-leader position, the peak Tier 5 Mage, had finally come to terms with Alec’s authority after learning of Alec’s true intentions, he hoped to regain some face by securing the role of the sub leader of the Tier 5 Mage Realm, however, Arthur pushed Brandon to step up and fight for the position.

And what followed was an intense match that captivated everyone watching, but in the end, Brandon emerged victorious, becoming Alec’s Tier 5 sub-leader.

For the Tier 4 mages, there was no competition at all as Alec directly appointed Kelvin as their leader, as for the low rank, Alec allowed them to determine their own strongest representatives, who would then report to him as the corresponding Tier leaders.

With the leadership structure in place, everyone eagerly awaited Alec’s next move, he had already shaken things up by assuming command of all the battle-ready mages, a concept bold enough to surprise them.

Now, they were curious to see what other unconventional strategies he had in mind.

However, Alec wasn’t in a rush to implement tactics, with two weeks left before the blood moon war, his immediate priority was taking stock of his forces, he assigned Agnes to conduct a headcount to confirm the numbers.

The final count was as follows: six hundred Tier 1 mages, three hundred Tier 2 mages, two hundred Tier 3 mages, one hundred Tier 4 mages, twenty Tier 5 mages, and five Tier 6 mages, including himself.

In total, the Gordons clan was sending one thousand two hundred and twenty-eight mages to the upcoming Blood Moon War, this number also included the two high-rank mages who would be participating in the battle.

Though it seemed almost reckless to send over a thousand mages into battle under a single leader, something the Gordons clan had never attempted before, but it was their only viable option.

As they had already promised the City Lord that all Tiers would participate in the war, and at this point, they were betting everything on Alec’s leadership and promise.

If they attempted to reduce the number of deployed mages, not only would the City Lord and other participating clans see it as a lack of commitment, but the reduced force would also risk being completely wiped out.

After all, they weren’t just facing ordinary zombies, they were a highly evolved, intelligent horde led by a High-Tier mental zombie.

This was precisely why the Gordons were going all in so as not to have the mages wipe out just because they didn’t see the need to fully support the city, the clan didn’t want to bear such lost so all they could do was clearly bring out the best they could to give, so their clan mages have a great fighting chance.

After confirming the final headcount, Alec decided it was time to implement structured training for each Tier, allowing them to practice together and develop synergy.

However, his true goal was to help them refine and level up the spells he deemed crucial for survival in the Blood Moon War.

His urgency stemmed from a new title bestowed upon him by the system after he had fully secured the approval of his subordinates:

[Title: One Thousand-Man General]

Effects:

_Gains 20% of every kill made by mages under your command.

_Mages under your leadership receive a 20% boost in skill comprehension.

_Mages under your command experience accelerated breakthroughs and spell progression due to their connection to you the system’s host, as long as they gain experience through combat or cultivation.

Alec couldn’t help but feel excited seeing this cause with the upcoming Blood Moon War offering double experience for each kill, the Gordons mages participating would have a rare opportunity to advance significantly, provided they survived the battle.

“Tier 6 mages, I don’t have immediate tasks for you just yet, but don’t slack off, find a place to practice your spells, and stay sharp.

I have big plans for you all, but I’m saving the best for last,” Alec said, addressing Gabriel.

Gabriel quickly understood Alec’s message and led the other four Tier 6 mages deeper into the forest to train.

Alec’s ultimate goal was to create an unmatched synergy between all the mages, to achieve that, they needed to train together for days, practicing until their attacks flowed seamlessly into each other, forming devastating combo strikes.

However, the Tier 6 group was too small to integrate effectively into this broader training regimen, instead, Alec planned to assess each of them individually to determine the best way to utilize their strengths.

Turning to Brandon, Alec gave his next command.

“Tier 5 mages, I want you all to focus on three spells, Earthquake, Earth Spear, and Stone Skin.

Master them to perfection.”

Many of the Tier 5 mages exchanged confused glances, wondering why Alec was assigning them such basic spells.

But those familiar with Alec’s training methods, especially Brandon who was the Tier 5 sub leader knew better, Alec never trained for the sake of training; he had a purpose behind everything.

Brandon understood exactly what Alec expected, which was why Alec didn’t bother explaining himself further to the mages present, as soon as Alec handed over control, Brandon prepared to put the Tier 5 mages through an exhausting drill.

As they would cast the same spells repeatedly until their mana pools were completely drained, recover, and then start all over again, just as Alec had once trained him and Arthur.

With their orders clear, Brandon wasted no time, as he led the Tier 5 mages to a large clearing to begin training, with Agnes, Knight, and even Arthur tagging along.

Despite finding it amusing that they were now under Brandon’s command, they understood the necessity, after all, they were all Gordon clan Tier 5 mages set to fight in the Blood Moon War.
