When Loki saw this, he thought, ’The new Divine Metac should be the Water Sensing Metac. It is a Divine Metac that uses the Insight Stat, and the Dragon King has been able to master it in such a short amount of time, so he can use it to raise his Insight Stat. It looks like Money Body is in trouble.’

As it turned out, he was wrong about this. It wasn’t only Money Body that was in trouble. They were all in trouble because the dragon king didn’t want to target Money Body alone.

The dragon king took the new Water Senses Metac, which is a Divine Metac for enhancing the senses of its user in water, and combined it with the Siren Shriek Metac, which is a Divine Metac for attacking enemies with sound.

When these two Divine Metacs were combined, they created a subtle power that could attack the senses of enemies with sound. Then the dragon king empowered this subtle power with the remaining six Divine Metacs.

After doing this, the dragon king roared at them. The roar that came out of its mouth was the enhanced sound attack that it had prepared for them.

This roar was subtle and gentle. It didn’t rile up the world and create powerful shockwaves like a normal roar would. Instead, it spread through space like salt dissolving in water. In no time, it had encapsulated the four invaders and began tampering with their perception.

For Loki, the attack made his environment disappear. Instead of being inside in the third dimension about to face off seven dragons and their dragon king, he found himself on land, and someone had grabbed his neck.

He moved his body around and realized that his body had suddenly become weak. He also realized that he had become very small. It was either this or the person who had grabbed him by his neck was a giant.

When he looked at the face of the person lifting him up by his neck, he saw a scruffy man with a large beard. The man’s face was also stern, and his eyes stared at him with disgust.

As soon as Loki saw this face, he remembered where he had seen it before. He also realized what was happening with him.

So he thought inwardly, ’This was when I was seven. It was the first time I had a brush with death.’

’At that time, I thought he was looking at me in disgust because I hadn’t had a bath in more than five days and was reeking of feces. But now I know better.’

’Now I know that if our masters had allowed us to have regular baths and hadn’t forced us to sleep beside our excretions, he would still have looked at me with disgust. To him, I was simply not worthy of anything more than disgust.’

As he was thinking, the man threw him into the mud pit. The man didn’t drop him gently into the mud pit. Instead, he was tossed aside like one would toss a rag. So when he landed on the ground, the force of the throw caused him to slide through the mud.

The mud pit was wet and muddy, so the rags he was wearing quickly became wet, soiled, and muddy. Mud had also gotten into his hair and eyes.

The fall had been jarring and painful, but he didn’t cry. He was no ordinary child, and he rarely cried. But the other child they threw into the mud pit didn’t have the same mental maturity as he did.

This other boy began crying for his mummy as soon as he was tossed into the mud pit. Loki ignored his cries and looked around them.

As his eyes swept through his surroundings, he saw that the mud pit was fenced. He also said that the fence was tall and sturdy, so there was no way he could escape.

Just as he was wondering what he was doing here, he heard the man who brought him shout, saying, ”The dogs are here.”

The shout attracted the attention of some people in the distance. They came over to the mud pit and surrounded it. Then they began clamoring.

One of them said, ”I bet on the skinny one.”

This made one of them say, ”Which one are you talking about? They are both skinny.”

This caused a round of laughter to erupt from everyone.

The man had to clarify, saying, ”I’m talking about the one that is as skinny as a broom and looks like he is about to fall down dead.”

These words made another person say, ”Are you crazy? Why would you bet on him? He looks like he is about to die. You’ll only lose your money.”

But the man insisted, saying, ”What if he wins?”

When Loki heard what they were saying, he knew that they were talking about him. Their words also reminded him of why he was so weak and frail at this point in time.

He remembered that because of the memories from his past, he was very picky about his food. He didn’t like to eat grain that had been soiled by feces or bread that had fallen in mud. He also didn’t like to drink dirty brown water from ponds.

Because of his pickiness, he refused to drink urine for a long time. So he had always lacked food, which made him grow up frail. In fact, it was by sheer will and stubbornness that he managed to survive this long.

Life hadn’t been worth living for him since he reincarnated. Many times, he had felt like giving up and surrendering to death. But he had held on because when there was life, there was hope of a better future.
