The Devil Does Not Need to Be Defeated

Chapter 238: What a Lucky Person

Truth be told, Jacinta was extremely surprised at Airiʼs appearance. He could even be called shocked.

This master of his doesnʼt generally care about much. Plus, sheʼs lethargic. Sometimes, she could sleep for years or even decades at a time, and there were even times when sheʼs slept over a century away. Therefore, it really isnʼt easy to see her.

The last lime that Jacinta had seen Airi like this, it was a decade ago.

Back then, it was because one of her subordinates, Jillian, had turned traitor. The Capital was also beset by mass assassinations from the Old Demon Faction lead by Baydr and Jillian. Only then was this master of his moved to take action. She woke up from her dreams in order to take responsibility for the disaster that someone under her had caused.

Then, Airi went back to her castle to continue sleeping. And this one nap lasted a decade, and she continued sleeping even now.

Thus, Jacinta had been under the impression the whole time that his master is still sleeping in her castle.

Who would have thought though that this little master of his ended up appearing in the mortal world without a sound. She even showed up in the Capital and appeared before him. Even Jacinta was scared dumb for a moment.

(If the people of the Kingdom were to know that master had awoken and has appeared here, it would definitely end up a major incident, right?)

Jacinta let out a bitter laugh in his mind.

As one of the top six authorities in the demon world, Airiʼs power is far beyond what normal demons can compare to. She had even written several events into history itself, so all humans would be unbelievably nervous, terrified of displeasing her.

If Airi really wanted to, she could simply sneeze and she could probably blow away the entire Capital.

In that kind of situation, thereʼs no way that the people of the Kingdom wonʼt be worried if they were to learn of Airiʼs arrival.

Thatʼs not even the most import part though.

Whatʼs most important is that the demon world probably hasnʼt even discovered that his little master had already awoken and had come to the mortal world without a sound.

If this matter were to be discovered, then likely the demon world would end up in a great deal of chaos as well, right?

This isnʼt an exaggeration either.

Even putting aside the demons under Airi, even those demons who arenʼt under Airi would end up in chaos.

Itʼs because his little masterʼs five big sisters love her to an extreme degree. If they discovered that his little master had ”run away from home”, then thereʼs no way that they wouldnʼt end up turning to demon world upside down to find her.

The moment he thought of that possible result, even Jacinta was on the verge of sweating.

The thing that shocked Jacinta the most through was that the reason for his master appearing in the Capital seems to be due to a certain person.

Who could it be?

Who had such ability that they could draw his masterʼs attention, and even gain his masterʼs interest?

As one of Airiʼs direct subordinates, Jacinta is fully aware that this is absolutely no easy feat.

At the very least, in the past, the number of individuals that his master would properly look and form any kind of relationship with can be counted on the fingers of both handsd.

And his masterʼs attitude toward those sheʼs interested in and those she arenʼt interested in is completely different.

If itʼs someone sheʼs interested in, then his master would end up super agreeable. Even if her attitude canʼt be called warm, she would still be very easy to get along with.

If itʼs someone she isnʼt interested in, then his master will turn very cold. She wouldnʼt even care to speak to them, pushing them far away.

Yet, extremely few people are capable of gaining his masterʼs interest. Even among the three great goddesses, only one of them was actually worth his masterʼs actual attention.

As for mortals, ever since ancient times, it seems like only Heroes were able to actually accomplish that.

(Could the person she speak of be Lucilosti Mitra?)

Thatʼs what Jacinta thought.

If itʼs that Treasure of the Kingdom, then it wouldnʼt be all that strange for her to be able to gain his masterʼs attention.

In that case, the reason for his master being in the Capital is clear then.

(What a lucky person.)

As he thought that, Jacinta couldnʼt help but admire her.

After all, not even him, who has followed Airi for so many years, have been able to arouse her interest.

Otherwise, thereʼs no way that Airi would have spoken to Jacinta with such a direct and unassailable attitude.

However, compare to that, thereʼs one something else that Jacinta wanted to confirm.

”Then, does master plan on staying in the Capital then?”

Jacinta asked very carefully.

The answer from Airi wasnʼt one that he wanted to hear though.

”Hn.” Airi nodded without hiding it. Or rather, she didnʼt feel any need to hid it. She simply spoke directly, ”I will continue staying by that personʼs side. I wonʼt be going back to the demon world for now.”

When he heard that, Jacintaʼs admiration and envy rose even higher.

For someone to be able to get his master to stay by their side without hesitation like that, that person truly is blessed with fortune.

It has to be said, likely not even his masterʼs sisters could receive such treatment.

If they were to find out about this, then theyʼd definitely go mad with envy.

Thus, Jacinta turned worried.

”Master isnʼt returning to the demon world. If this matter is discovered, it would definitely end up causing a major incident.”

Jacinta could only push forward anyways and try to advise Airi.

”I know.” Airi didnʼt deny it, but she continued anyways, ”Isnʼt it fine so long as itʼs not discovered then?”

Is that really fine?

No way!

No matter how one think it, thereʼs no way thatʼs a workable long term plan, right?

Although his masterʼs lethargy is something well known by all in the demon world, which is why no one had noticed that sheʼs not in her castle, or even the demon world, even now. However, this matter will be exposed sooner or later.

When that time comes, thereʼs no way that the other five leaders of the demon world wonʼt charge over into the mortal realm. At the very least, Jacinta absolutely doesnʼt believe thatʼs possible.

However, when Jacinta attempted to continue trying to convince Airi, he was instead interupted.

”Are you attempting to force me back?”

Airi frowned as she stared at Jacinta.

Jacinta instantly felt an enormous pressure, and he finally started sweating.

”N-no at all…”

Jacinta could only hurriedly lower his head and apologize.

”Humph.” Airi humphed, ”Anyways, Iʼll leave you to deal with these minor matters. Do as you like. Donʼt disturb me if possible, and youʼre also not allowed to send anyone to look for me, got it?”

”Yes.” Jacinta answered with a pained look on his face.

Airi immediately vanished then like a ghost. She seemed to have teleported away.

Only then did Jacinta finally get up from the floor. However, he still had the pained expression on his face.

”Master…”

”We…”

”Enough. I wonʼt be pursuing your mistake earlier.” Jacinta waved his hand as he spoke, ”However, you two should also humble yourselves some. If I didnʼt stop you two just now, just your rudeness alone would be enough for master to instantly vaporize you two.”

The twins immediately turned green in terror.

Jacinta then stopped minding the two of them and instead started sighing.

”Things have gotten more complicated now.”

Compared to that thingʼs appearance in the mortal world, Airiʼs appearance in the mortal world is the bigger headache.

Plus, Airi even plan on continuing to stay in the Capital. This makes it that Jacinta canʼt continue on so casually either.

”If something were to happen to make master unhappy, then things would be really problematic.”

It looks like heʼll need to more carefully consider how to resolve this matter.
