Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 949: Chapter 55: Cybertron Corps

’I need a group of hitters!’

’Pai Daxing’ made up his mind.

Faced with these interstellar terrorists and the even more terrifying cosmic-level terrorist organizations behind them, the best response is not to reason with them, but to rely on civilization-level destructive means, physically obliterate their bodies, and blast their spirits until they are utterly dead.

Don’t think that those ’Supreme Beings’ who speak of Cosmic Restart and Creation Engines have dared to lay a finger on a Level 9 Civilization.

Ultimate Civilizations are the keystones of the cosmic civilization society.

You all want to stir up trouble, so why don’t you give it a go? Oh, you can’t win, can you!

Moreover, during the time when the Purple Giant Star was still around, you weren’t so active either.

In the end, it’s just because you can’t win.

If you can’t win, then there’s no point in sending yourselves to die.

’Pai Daxing’ had no shortage of underground contacts and a list of interstellar strong individuals, but if he asked them to deal with the Liberation Association, such an interstellar terrorist organization, most of them wouldn’t be willing to do it.

Every interstellar strong individual is supported by a powerful force, while the Liberation Association specializes in defeating such tied-up characters.

Constant terrorist operations every minute, every hour, who can withstand them?

Who would want to meddle in such foulness?

’So it’s best to cultivate your own hitters for loyalty’s sake. Most importantly, it’s crucial to find some special species that are less likely to be threatened by the Liberation Association.’

’Take the simplest option, for instance, the Dominator-type mechanical forces. Such mechanical organizations have a single Super Brain, and all others are mass-producible Mechanical Legions. No matter how strong the terrorists are, no matter how many robots are blasted to pieces, they can’t stop the re-production speed, let alone the retaliations.’

’Or perhaps, space-type life forms, time-type life forms. The existence of these life forms is extremely secretive, even I can’t detect them. If I can’t, then those madmen probably can’t either.’

’The Liberation Association has been conducting terrorist operations for thousands of years, and it’s impossible they don’t have enemies. These enemies are also my targets for recruitment, preferably some Level 3 Civilization. The fleets of these civilizations will be the main force for revenge...’

’Pai Daxing’ was sketching in the air, and soon, a list took shape, and among the names, ’General Cybertron’ appeared in the forefront.

The note regarding him reads as follows——

’Planet Host-type robot with the potential to challenge Dominator-type mechanical forces. Most importantly, he is backed by the Purple Giant Star and a Level 7 Civilization.’

A pawn of a Level 7 Civilization, though just a pawn, other than the high ranks of the Ancient Mechanical Civilizations outside the Purple Giant Star, would not recognize him.

But at certain critical moments, the affiliation with this Level 7 Civilization becomes extremely important.

As far as ’Pai Daxing’ knows, the ’Ancient Mechanical Elder’s temper is not very good.

The older one gets, the more redundant code there is, and the more irascible the temper.

...

Gao Gong naturally didn’t know the Collector’s thoughts, but even if he knew, he would only agree with pleasure.

What interstellar terrorist organizations? Do they not know that under my command are hundreds of thousands of the 4th Celestial Calamity, more than enough to obliterate you?

At this moment, he was at the center of the outer planetary space, in front of the Interstellar Mercenary Hall’s window, performing the final registration work——

”Do you confirm the registration of the ’Cybertron Corps’ as a mercenary organization?”

A humanoid creature with golden skin behind the window asked.

”Confirm.”

”According to statistics, your legion has 325,413 members, with ninety percent being Tier 2 Mechanically Modified Life, possessing 5 regular troop transport ships, 1 research ship, 3 exploration ships, a small-scale weapon industrialization capability, and a Level 2 force projection capability... ”

This inspection was completed over the past three days, mainly to verify the player’s actual combat capabilities. Gao Gong himself didn’t even show up, much less reveal his trump cards like ’mass quantities of Mother City blueprints’, ’SSS-Level Planet Tree development technology’, ’biomechanical technology’, ’Star Destroyer’ and such.

Ultimately, the rating of the ’Cybertron Corps’ was assessed as a ’medium-sized mercenary corps.’

To be precise, recognized by the Mechanical Serpent Constellation as having intermediate interstellar combat ability, specialized in assaulting, landing, and suitable as an auxiliary elite combat force in fleets.

Though all are ’medium-sized mercenary corps,’ each has different characteristics. Gao Gong’s kind is the standard hitter-type.

Gao Gong glanced at the system panel, and sure enough, the ’Mechanical Hunter’ had been replaced by ’Cybertron Corps’ in the system’s camp list.

Camp Name: Cybertron Corps

Leader Reputation: 81800 (50,000 required to initiate the boss template task)

Number of People: 325,413

Camp Points: 1,705,000/10,000,000

Level: Tier 3 Camp

Special Buildings: Mechanical Weapon Transformation Hall (lacking), Biological Weapon Transformation Hall (lacking), Bionics Laboratory (lacking), Mecha Manufacturing Center (lacking), Biological Chip Manufacturing Center...

Advanced Buildings: Quantum Computer, Enterprise AI Module, Super Laboratory, Brain Transformer (enterprise level), Large Weapon Defense System (enterprise level)...

Without a fixed base, most of the buildings in the camp are in sealed mode, which is quite troublesome.

And the reason why the Black Market Planet of the Mechanical Serpent Constellation could stand firm on the civilization border lies largely in its control over this special building, the ’Interstellar Mission Hall.’

The majority of civilizations are not monolithic; the mix of various forces within them, like financial consortiums, ideological organizations, thought political parties, evolutionary groups, is the mainstream.

These forces often need to rely on external forces to accomplish tasks; this force need not be their own people, but at least should not be terrorist organizations.

And civilizations themselves need an underworld that operates by rules.

Hence, the profession of ’Interstellar Mercenary’ emerged.

Gao Gong’s plan was to play the role of an interstellar mercenary while cruising through the remaining three Cyber Test Fields, and perhaps see if he could pick up some interstellar missions along the way.

Don’t underestimate these hitter-type professions; in fact, without guarantees, many strong individuals from Level 2 Civilizations cannot even become mercenaries.

Gao Gong picked up his mercenary token and was about to head back when the Pseudo-Milta Man suddenly changed colors and called out:

”This guest, please wait a moment!”

Gao Gong was slightly taken aback, not by the words, but because the system prompt suddenly rang——

[Your mercenary level has been upgraded from ’medium-sized mercenary corps’ to ’large mercenary corps’]

[Your mercenary level has been upgraded from ’large mercenary corps’ to ’special-level mercenary corps’]

[’Cybertron Corps’ unlocks new profession ’Interstellar Mercenary’]

[As the alliance leader, ’Interstellar Mercenary’ automatically upgrades to lv10]

[Your Leader Reputation +5000]

[Camp Points +50000]

Hmm?

Gao Gong was puzzled for a moment, his expression turned strange, and he looked up at the golden-skinned female, saying, ”Did you secretly alter my mercenary level?”

The golden-skinned woman, after a brief panic, displayed excellent professional quality, smiling as she said:

”No, in fact, there was a miscalculation on our part just now. Your legion’s strength fully deserves the treatment of a top-level mercenary corps. As for its benefits, you can inquire online through the open interstellar network.”

Gao Gong took out the Collector’s communication code but hesitated for a moment and ultimately did not dial out.

Some things lose their significance once spoken, and since the other party arranged it this way, they probably won’t say anything.

Gao Gong briefly browsed through the benefits of advancing the mercenary level and found they focused on three aspects: ’priority access to intelligence,’ ’opening of all missions, including civilization-level missions,’ and ’the right to purchase advanced equipment (including military supplies).’

Gao Gong focused on the last one, as the stagnation in his Mechanical Body Transformation reaching full level was mainly due to the lack of opportunities to acquire high-tier equipment.

And the dominant civilizations in the nearby two regions—both the Galen Republic and the Mirta Federation—are mechanical-oriented.
