Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 927: Chapter 33: Interstellar Hacking

”Huh?”

The first to feel something amiss were not the Co-prosperity Seekers, nor the highly algorithmic Robot, but rather the somewhat mysterious and quite nonchalant Interstellar Cowboy.

Jack Klein blocked Walter II’s whip-leg, glanced backward, and although the Interstellar Space Station seemed unchanged, he could vaguely sense an eerie source emanating from there.

”Lady, I’d advise you to leave here; otherwise, something bad might happen.”

Walter II sneered coldly; her leg’s mechanical joint snapped open, and in an instant, dozens of alloy chains shot out. These alloy chains seemed to possess ’Subspace’ attributes; once fired, they merged with the space, making them indistinguishable to most.

Jack Klein’s alertness heightened dramatically; with a flick of his wrist, a bioelectric-wrapped whip lashed out, frantically striking the space around him, resulting in ’ping pong pang’ metallic clashes.

”Miss Clone, your Exoskeleton Armor technology looks familiar, like I saw it in some Civilization’s Planet-level laboratory?”

Walter II’s eyes flashed coldly, intensifying the attack.

”People who know too much often don’t die well!!”

For some unknown reason, the Robot Boss, who hadn’t rushed into the Space Station, had a screen on its face blaring red alerts.

’Super-danger Energy Source detected’

Sure enough, the next moment, two Biological Magnetic Fields materialized like kilometer-wide meteors, forcibly crashing out of the Space Station; bear in mind the Space Station walls are approximately a kilometer thick.

The next moment, muscular, rugged, yet steel-reinforced tree branches pierced out from the Space Station, visibly gray energy roaring outward, directly enveloping the interstellar structure. SSS-Level Radiation Energy presented itself in an extremely unstable state, sometimes dropping to SS-Level, while at other times hinting at breaking through SSS-Level.

For a time, a storm arose, and the cosmos changed colors; despite lacking earth and sky in the cosmic vacuum, the energy field of a satellite-sized interstellar relay station became wildly volatile, signals fluctuating between existence and non-existence, space acceleration channels spontaneously operated, and in a vacant Superluminal Channel, it seemed like a monster was about to emerge.

From Jack Klein’s perspective, this feeling strongly resembled his last visit to a dying fixed star for inspiration, witnessing the star expand into a Red Giant Star, the terrifying heat and spatial vibrations, and an indescribable energy change, as if occurring right now.

For that reason, he composed a song primarily in Klingon, ”Your Ocean Like Starburst,” which received a tremendous response.

Yet in this situation, even the top warriors on the battlefield could only protect themselves; the lowly space thieves, in this intense ’Star Body Change,’ were panic-stricken, unable to control life and death, with space thieves constantly getting swept by energy, exploding on the spot.

Many space thieves also noticed the corpses of Advanced Space Thief officers at those giant tree ’joints’.

More exaggeratedly, the ’Steel Giant Tree’ roots also fiercely protruded through Space Station cracks, invading the battlefield, killing whoever they encountered, regardless of Players or Space Thieves.

”What the hell, the plot wasn’t supposed to go this way!”

”Which idiot writer changed the story, where’s the promised counterattack!”

”My mission points, just a little more, bug, bug, I’m going to complain to Mr. G!”

”Mr. G not only ignores you but also slaps you in return.”

”...”

Currently, a swarm of players swept away by the tree wave, full of resentment, furiously flooded the forum.

”This tree looks kind of familiar.”

Rainy Night with a Knife and No Umbrella stared at the Steel Tree nearly covering the Interstellar Space Station, muttering to himself.

”This scene, I’ve seen it on Mechanical Split Star.”

However, just when everyone thought this giant tree would swallow everything, the next moment, all the giant tree’s movements stiffened, the waves of energy it created rapidly receded, and where it passed, steel-reinforced tree roots disintegrated into primal atoms, with the tide of return diving into the Interstellar Space Station’s cracks, ultimately vanishing.

The scene quieted for a while, first a slight vibration, then it seemed like the entire Space Station was shaking, ambiguously as if a giant in the existing cracks expanded them significantly, widening the dozen-meter-long cracks to over a hundred meters.

Then, a familiar voice sounded—

”Kill all the space thieves, leave no trace!”

In the next moment, a wild mechanical electronic sound rang out.

”Your orders are our final directive, General!”

The Decepticons took the lead, shooting out of the breach, the new model X-Type reactor reaching 120% efficiency, its entire body seeming wrapped in energy armor. Behind it were imposing biomechanical armors, these mechanical weapons a size larger than the Independent Traitor’s ’Half-Mechanical Destroyer,’ hundreds of meters of mechanical shell, feeling like Mechanical Giant Spirit Gods.

Following closely behind the Decepticons were Blood Spider, Lord Celestis, Venus, and Bumblebee, these bosses of the Mechanical System, each with four templates, surpassing the potential of the Star Thief Leaders. Although they can’t yet unleash their full power, the aura they exude at present isn’t inferior to any of the Star Thief bosses present.

These figures lunged toward Walter II, toward the Plant Life Leader, toward the Robot Boss.

Simultaneously, at the direction of the port gate, the already battered gate suddenly shattered, revealing ’metal cans’ with styles similar to white-skinned cans. All of them were fierce exoskeleton mecha, all designed for Human Armor Unity. Not even the handheld chainsaw blades and handheld energy cannon styles differed much.

More similar was the intense evil qi emitted from both the white-skinned cans and metal cans.

One is the Civilization Core technology of Half-Mechanical Civilization, the other an unknown source Tier 3 transformation technology.

The former’s strength reaches Tier 3, and the latter seems to be a newly explored Tier 3 transformed exoskeleton.

One implants a biological core into the Mechanical System, and the other aids biological warriors with mechanical exoskeletons.

It’s certain that both sides absolutely don’t use the same technology, but coincidentally, in various aspects, both sides exhibit astonishing similarity.

The sole difference is that Du Gao Technology’s Emperor’s Imperial Guard attacks leisurely, while those white-skinned cans were directly consumed by that strange Steel Tree.

And above the accelerated space channel, two figures were frantically clashing; amidst them, Vervi slashed across, blowing up a star shuttle that was about to dock, while laughing eerily:

”Leaving at this moment—isn’t it a bit too late?”

Lester was enraged, the energy fire from the biological blades in his hand burning even fiercer, though the black blood from the wound on his chest flowed more and more.

”You wouldn’t think someone as honest and upright as me wouldn’t poison my close combat weapon, would you?” Vervi exclaimed in surprise.

”You!!!”

Both sides activated the Carbon Fusion Mode, the Tier 3 Carbon Fusion indicating multiple bloodlines have been fused, and the differences between them are distinct. Lester seems to have fused several energy creature bloodlines, his body becoming semi-energized, standing nearly a hundred meters tall, resembling a frantically burning Fire Giant; whereas Vervi transformed into a Demon God, spikes protruding from the skin, eight pairs of compound eyes staring coldly at the opponent, and further adorned with bizarre red tattoos, each forearm with a bone spike gripped in its palm, evoking an indescribable menace.

Their destructive power has reached the level of a low-level starship.

”Shrek used people like you and that’s why he ultimately fell apart!”

Vervi seemed to hear something particularly amusing, his mouth nearly splitting with laughter.

”That old geezer, let me tell you another thing: the Star Thieves never bow—they’re just floating corpses in the cosmic vacuum.”

In the Star Thief Alliance Army, the Vervi Star Thief Gang began launching a full-line counterattack.

Each cosplaying player star thief started backstabbing fiercely.

If familiar faces saw them, they might be greatly shocked; weren’t these Vervi Star Thief Gang members dead on the battlefield before?

These ’star thieves’ would say, yes, we died, and it was a naked suicide, but we’ve revived.

Such ambush tactics could only be devised by the 4th Celestial Calamity.

What fun is being infantry, cavalry is more exciting; taking down a starship gives tons of experience.

The elite Star Thief Gang Allied Forces directly downgraded the starship defenses outside the space station a notch; you know, in Gao’s task, destroying a starship surpasses the thousand-kill reward on the battlefield; if capturing a starship, the reward is truly mouth-watering. We’ve endured being virtual players for so long, finally, it’s our turn to be the Version’s Son, isn’t it...

This is what Virtual Concealed Power thought. At this time, he curled up inside an inconspicuous garbage disposal room in the Vervi Star Thief Gang, with a red and green network access chamber strapped on his head, the neural lines from the chamber pricking his temples and chin.

This allowed him to dictate codes while simultaneously writing intrusion programs, truly multitasking.

Outside, amidst the fierce battlefield, he remained entirely unaware, his perception transformed into a signal-formed world, countless chaotic data forming abandoned codes, while the intrusion software he composed manifested as a star shuttle, traversing the world, showing great ambition.

He intended to hack into a starship of the Lester Star Thief Group; among all the starships, it’s the only one reaching the ’Intermediate Starship’ level interstellar spaceship.

If he managed to hack it, he’s certain all the upgrade experience and materials before Tier 3 would be fulfilled.
