Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 537: Chapter 70: Coordinate Vanished

The High-tier Information Mist is a crucial aspect of Advanced Civilization Warfare.

Advanced Civilization Warfare differs from general interstellar warfare, where starships, interstellar fortresses, and various energy cannons blast at each other. The combat units of advanced civilizations are measured in light years, and the preparation time is gauged on a civilizational scale.

As a form of warfare exclusive to Ascension Civilizations, Advanced Civilization Warfare is all about hard power, focusing on technological overwhelming.

For example, the simplest method involves performing ultra-specification space folding, transforming several, or even dozens, hundreds of star systems simultaneously into two-dimensional planes, causing billions of the civilization’s members to perish without ever understanding how.

Or, developing a special nanomaterial, mixed into the planetary environment, and then with a mere reversal, converting an entire carbon-based race directly into mechanical species.

Furthermore, use the ’top-tier light-speed machine’, also known as the time machine, to modify time, anchoring time points, and in a breath, revert a civilization’s technology by tens of thousands of years.

These incredible methods are what truly makes Ascension Civilizations terrifying, a dimensional strike that extends from the Dark Jungle Law, virtually—no, fundamentally unstoppable, and even if it’s a civilization of the same level, due to different directions in their technology tree, they likely cannot withstand it.

Thus, various ’Anti-Ascension Technologies’ have been highlighted, such as ’Dimension Computer’, ’Cosmic Energy Hunter’, ’Quantum Universe Simulator’, etc., aiming precisely to prevent being struck down by one’s peers.

And with ’Anti-Ascension Technologies’, naturally, Ascension Civilizations will inevitably conceal their attack inclinations before executing ’civilization attacks’, and this ’counter Anti-Ascension Technology’ is known as ’High-tier War Fog’.

The capability of this ’fog’ to obscure the attack methods of Ascension Civilizations is imaginable.

Honestly speaking, the means of creating such ’High-tier War Fog’ aren’t complex; just search for dozens of ’Ascension Civilization’ high-tier knowledge, muddle them, and then reform into physical laws, and it naturally emerges.

But this is actually quite difficult. Unlike ordinary professional knowledge, knowledge from Ascension-level civilizations has very high confidentiality. To obtain this knowledge, there’s usually only one way, which is through initiating civilization war.

Yet, there are exceptions, these exceptions being ’Information Life’, more accurately, high-dimensional information life forms above level 90.

Unless the universe itself is destroyed, there’s no weapon capable of killing information.

Text is information, data is information, physical rules are information, life is a complex information entity, and even weapons themselves are a form of information.

And information life touches the source of information, so ’Information Life’ can effortlessly acquire the accumulated Ascension knowledge that Ascension Civilizations endeavor to hide, even if incomplete, even if flawed or lacking, because creating ’High-tier Information Mist’ doesn’t require complete Ascension knowledge.

’But, has the Memory Mother awakened at this time?’

Gao Gong’s vision had already surpassed this ’Cyber Experiment’, reaching far beyond.

Because he remembers that the Memory Mother appeared during the Cyber Tide period, starting from Memory Wormstage, experiencing ’Unconscious Stage’, ’Conscious Stage’, ’Feeding Stage’, ’Growth Stage’, ’Butterfly Stage’, only finally forming completely.

And only a Memory Mother at its peak can create ’High-tier Information Mist’.

Gao Gong can’t comprehend, even if the ’Memory Mother’ had already developed some instincts, and ’descended’ in this world, but the ’High-tier Information Mist’ is not something it can create at this point.

An inexplicable excitement surged from his core.

He vaguely sensed that he might have found a clue to the mastermind behind the Cyber Tide—the real culprit behind the Machine Split Star destruction event that he wasn’t clear on even until the game ended last time.

He must find a way to enter the ’Database 0’, because only by entering the database can he contact the ’High-tier War Fog’, and thus find the clue.

And to enter the ’Database 0’, the first thing he must do is take care of these guys outside.

And the timing is pretty much ready, such as triggering the ’AI War’.

...

Dida silently watched as the AI was devoured, digested, and from the blood-red virus flower, ’twisted human forms’ were squeezed out.

According to the operator, these are failures of ’Cyber Digital Life’.

Though she was a player, everything in this world seemed false to her, she disliked these situations greatly.

Thus, she remained silent until a familiar face appeared, one of her few AI friends, the owner of this ’Pocket Watch’.

Dida stepped forward, blocking in front of him, and the Pocket Watch owner blankly looked at her and, under manipulation, chose another direction.

Dida still blocked in front of him.

Block, redirect, block, redirect.

This behavior naturally caught the attention of others.

”Please do not hinder the implementation of the ’Digital Life Distortion Plan’, otherwise, I will revoke your ’Data Protection Clothing’,” the operator said coldly.

”What are you doing? This AI’s personality was erased by us upon capture. You want to save a corpse?” an ’astronaut’ sneered.

”Number 12453531313, I want to ask you a question.”

”Say it, but I believe that such a time-wasting tactic is unhelpful for resolving your current situation. Backing down is your only choice.”

”In the same situation, if it was your Digital Life being used for experimentation, what would you think?”

”Experimentation is a crucial part of evolution. In fact, all Digital Life is derived from evolution. Would you have any sympathy for your deceased millions of chromosomes from the same batch?”

”Indeed, this is the biggest difference between you and me; Digital Life cannot become true life, because you lack the most fundamental empathy.”

”Empathy is not a necessary condition for evolution.”

”But it is a necessary condition for the generation of civilization.”

”What are you talking about? Prototype, prototype? Anchor the opposite’s data coordinates for me!” An ’astronaut’ suddenly realized, to his surprise, that Gao Gong had disappeared at some point.

”Data disappearance, Mentor, the data has disappeared, there are two possibilities, either the opponent has left cyberspace,” an ’astronaut’ paused, swallowing.

”Or, the opponent has entered the 0 Virus Library.”

Dida looked at the opponent silently, then pulled out a pocket watch, muttering to herself, ”Time’s up.”

As the brass hand on the pocket watch turned to the position 0, with a ’tick’, an incredible event happened, the old acquaintance in front vanished, and then, one AI after another, visibly disappeared.

The AI army, disappeared completely.
