Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 503: Chapter 37: War Agent

Liangzhou City’s helipad

Han Tong looked at the sky with a sullen expression, as the artificial sky slowly closed, an advanced flying vehicle descended slowly, and under the effect of anti-gravity technology, it hovered at the designated spot. Then, the floor rose, automatically forming a metal staircase.

A red high heel stepped onto the metal staircase, followed by a black high heel.

Both high heels belonged to the same owner.

A woman, wearing a white suit with hair dyed in at least ten colors, walked down.

The woman always maintained a proper smile, the kind of smile that seemed pinned to the opponent’s face, resembling the smile of Mona Lisa.

This woman was called Mengna, the senior HR at Balance Technology Headquarters.

More importantly, she was a core member of the ’Biological Weapons Faction’.

Han Tong had clearly notified people from his own faction, but it was her who came!

”Employee number 414511, meeting again.”

”Number 512313, are you sure you haven’t come to the wrong place?” Han Tong coldly retorted.

”Of course not,” Mengna smiled and said, ”Chief combatant of Liangzhou Branch Han Tong, seeing you, how could I come to the wrong place.”

”I still remember, when I first joined the company, you were the combat instructor, you taught us for three months, strictly speaking, I am your student.”

”But you still chose a different path.”

”The path is not important, what’s important is the result.”

”So it doesn’t matter how many companions die?”

”Where there’s experimentation, there’s loss, within Balance Technology, there’s no one who can’t be lost, including me and including you.”

”Your tone really resembles those big shots at headquarters,” Han Tong sneered.

”Alright, lead the way, I believe that the legendary Biological Expert should agree with my words.”

The two quickly got into the car, sitting face to face, Han Tong kept staring at Mengna, ever since their meeting, he felt something was off, she gave him a very subtle feeling, standing there but seemingly not existing.

He tried to capture her biological signals, but the signals disappeared too, as if there was nothing in front of him.

Han Tong was suddenly shocked, ”You’ve ’biological computerized’ already?!”

Mengna continued to smile, but her vision had already encompassed the entire Liangzhou City, countless data, countless information, countless people.

At this moment, Kaibao, idly strolling by the roadside, paused, looked up at the floating vehicle, and helplessly shook his head.

”How can it just connect so casually, it’s really impolite.”

Inside the Mechanical Hub, a humanoid formed from biological signals was slowly soaking into the database.

...

Meanwhile, in the Balance Branch’s mechanical repair department, Ah Q casually repairs machinery.

Just like the one outside slowly restoring his ’liver memory’, the one within the company likewise begins to recover outside memories.

And this is the reason why the plan can proceed.

Ah Q’s gaze quietly glanced at a mecha nearby, this kind of manned combat machine has been selling hotly lately, and is also the target of various military engineering parties competing to crack.

The company’s interior is full of surveillance equipment, and it’s the most advanced biological signal detection.

Theoretically speaking, not just what you do, but even what you think, artificial intelligence can know.

However, it’s not without exceptions.

As agreed, a company mission automatically emerged—repair the mecha pod.

Ah Q rose expressionlessly, carrying repair equipment straight in, and just as the pod door closed, the mecha’s own screen lit up, Matsumoto Tetsu’s face appeared.

”To be brief, I’ve already shielded your thought signals, for now, any notion of attacking the company will not be detected by Corporate Will.”

”Additionally, I’ve utilized the Authority from the research department to upgrade you to Level 3 experimental subject, meaning your subsequent hacking behavior, in outsiders’ eyes, are merely part of the experiment, and that’s why, the defense system of the Balance Branch will drop to its lowest.”

”Finally, your time is limited, act quickly and find out the truth of the experiment.”

Ah Q scratched his head, half-understanding.

”So, you’ve made Corporate Will mistakenly think my upcoming actions are experiments, and I need to enter the main database to find the hidden experiment data?”

”Yes.”

”And then what?”

”Huh?”

”Find the data, and then report to the upper management? According to what you said, the branch leader might be the mastermind behind the ’hidden experiment’, I’m not afraid to get killed, but you’ve gotta give me a reason for causing trouble.”

Matsumoto Tetsu was silent for a while, then spoke:

”It’s not reporting to upper management, but to headquarters.”

”You might not be aware, headquarters has all experiments meticulously planned.”

”However, some high-level personnel at the branch, due to their own interests, collude with external forces to accelerate experiments, I suspect there’s someone in our research department doing just that.”

Ah Q was puzzled again, asking:

”What’s wrong with that? As a member of the research department, isn’t your performance tied to experiments? If someone accelerates experiments, shouldn’t you benefit? Or is your sense of justice so strong you can’t stand others causing trouble?”

Matsumoto Tetsu finally broke out, gritting his teeth, saying:

”What do you know! Do you know what kind of catastrophic consequences accelerated ongoing experiments can lead to? If mishandled, we experimental subjects, can be obliterated in an instant, truly obliterated, unable to be revived even within Genetic Space!”

”I’m not even 30 years old and of course don’t want to die so early!”

Ah Q finally understood, so you’re really desperate.

”I get it, I know what to do now.”

...

And in the research center’s two monitoring screens, respectively the images of Matsumoto Tetsu and Ah Q.

Bioinformatics expert, Dr. Liang was watching this scene with interest.

”Indeed, someone has discovered our experimental plan, but as an experimental subject, who gives you the illusion you can hide your actions from me.”

”You probably don’t understand yet what human trials we conduct on research department members.”

Behind him, Marubeni Global Security’s representative, an old man in a Japanese military outfit stood up.

”Then let the old man handle it.”

”Hm, I’ll leave it to you, Willow Garden Studio sir.”

...

And within the biological database, a line of special code jumped out, the code began to decompose, entering other codes, like cancer cells, starting to continuously split.

Ultimately, countless flesh-like cells of code formed a semi-humanoid shape, struggling to crawl out from the code layer, the eyes seeing everything within this Balance Branch.

Matsumoto Tetsu, Ah Q, Dr. Liang, Willow Garden Studio, all actions were in sight.

Such large data parsing can only be done by Gao Gong under Biological Computer Mode.

”Indeed, relying only on players at this stage, even with NPC help, trying to cause trouble is still too difficult.”

”I still must intervene, but got to be discreet, don’t let that old guy discover.”

”Indeed, every major corporation has some monster suppressing it, I really didn’t expect any monster to be of that type.”

”With it around, the difficulty of obtaining blueprints has increased.”

”But then again, it might not necessarily be a bad thing...”

...

And far away across thousands of miles, on an offshore island of Divine Land.

The island’s owner, manager of Biological Project 2134, Ms. Qiao welcomed a group of special guests.

”Hello, Ms. Qiao.”

”Hello, Ms. Du.”

Ms. Qiao surreptitiously sized up the opponent, this woman recently making waves in the global arms market undeniably gave her the first impression of being very dangerous.

The island’s defense system rose to full level the moment the opponent appeared.

Even an S-Level Radiation Beast would be no different from this level.

”To be brief, Ms. Qiao, the 17th Corporate War is about to be launched, every company aspiring for war is recruiting, so I’ve come uninvited.”

Ms. Qiao hesitated, saying: ”Ms. Du, of course, I know your capabilities, but if you wish to cooperate with Holy Brain Group, you should contact our headquarters, not a middle-tier person like me dispatched to a remote branch.”

Ms. Du showed a brilliant smile: ”Don’t misunderstand, I’m not here to negotiate cooperation with Holy Brain Group, but with you personally.”

”Do you want me to become your proxy in war?”
