One-Eyed Monster

The confrontation grew increasingly intense, yet the surrounding bright light became more dim, now at most glaring compared to its previous dazzling state.

Igor and Kadi naturally sensed this, growing braver and more vigorous in battle; the advantage they gained was hard-earned, albeit with a lingering pain from the blow they took to the stomach.

Although they held the upper hand now, their opponent wasn’t showing any signs of defeat; the opponent only weakened his attacks without showing any disadvantage, instead, his spirit power became even more concentrated.

Igor was quite astonished by this phenomenon, thinking that a defensive stance wouldn’t use too much spirit power; the opponent’s actions seemed to be preparing for a stronger confrontation, indicating he was planning something big. Igor became more cautious and found an opportunity to inform Kadi of the situation.

But Kadi wouldn’t listen; he continued to fight in his own way, sparing no effort, giving his all!

Igor had no choice but to remain vigilant alone, readying himself for any major move the opponent might make.

In reality, Patrick had no big move planned. He was merely countering the blue flame on Kadi.

Neither Igor nor Kadi noticed that the blue flame had already developed its own system, greedily opening its mouth, ready to devour all the spirit power here.

If it weren’t for Patrick’s experience, this blue flame might have already run rampant.

Patrick’s wizard robe had detached from him, using the white robe to block Igor and Kadi’s attacks, while he leapt to a spot where he could fully unleash his spellcraft.

This separation between man and robe made Igor internally exclaim that something was amiss; he thought Patrick was about to unleash a big move, so he hurriedly gathered his spirit power, ready to form a powerful defense shield at any time.

This shield would block the big move!

However, Igor didn’t expect the anticipated big move; Patrick seemed not to have released his spirit power yet and was still gathering it.

This anomaly led Igor to ponder, as the surrounding light gradually faded, he was able to open his eyes.

The opponent’s anomaly made him feel uneasy, so he began to reflect on themselves.

Not knowing until he took a look, shocked by what he saw.

His spirit sensing suddenly discovered a powerful soul devourer force on Kadi, a release of energy, slowly detaching from Kadi, growing larger, gradually taking shape.

”Kadi!” Igor shouted loudly.

Kadi, fully focused on attacking the white wizard robe, was momentarily startled, slowed down a beat, and the white robe immediately wrapped his butterfly blades...

”What are you doing!” Kadi complained, his rhythm disturbed by Igor’s shout, feeling he was about to be countered by the white robe.

Yet an unexpected scene unfolded: the white robe didn’t linger in battle, promptly released his butterfly blades, and flew back onto Patrick.

Kadi took a defensive stance, anticipating a counterattack from the opponent, but waited long without any attack.

Although a bit strange, Kadi thought the opponent must be dazed; he couldn’t miss this chance, so he swung his butterfly blades, preparing to charge, but was blocked by a sword from Igor.

”What are you doing?” Kadi asked, puzzled.

”Can’t you see it?” Igor asked, perplexed.

”What?” Kadi followed Igor’s gesture, only to see in mid-air a blue flame baring its fangs and brandishing its claws at Patrick.

”What the heck is this!” Kadi asked in surprise.

”I should ask you, this humanoid flame, what the heck is it? This thing came from you!”

”From me?” Kadi felt even more perplexed, wondering how the thing was related to him.

The scene was truly strange now, Patrick and the flame faced off equally matched, while Igor and Kadi stood there, arms crossed, watching, seemingly as if Patrick’s battle had nothing to do with them.

At this moment, those young Gray Robes were even more wary of Igor and Kadi; these two guys had directly trapped their family’s housekeeper. Could these youngsters not be intimidated!

Igor shook his head: ”This is the blue flame from you, it’s now a complete soul devourer, and it’s trying to devour!”

”Is this really from me?” Kadi was still reluctant to believe.

”Yes, I saw it with my own eyes!”

”But I don’t feel anything!”

”Try to summon it back first.” Igor suggested to Kadi.

Kadi attempted to do so, blue flames began to emerge from him, trying various methods to call back the arrogant flame in the air, but to no avail.

Soon, the blue flame on Kadi detached from him, sprinting towards the blue flame in the air...

”Quick, quick! Assist me, I can’t control these things!” Kadi shouted in panic, flustered.

Igor slapped his thigh; he hadn’t foreseen this situation, didn’t expect this devouring power to be so strong, capable of escaping Kadi’s control. Now nothing could be done, Kadi was like a refueling station, continuously supplying energy to the entity in the sky. Igor had no choice but to use his spirit power to suppress the blue flame, but who knew the flame reacted to spirit power like a mad dog to a bone, becoming even more rampant.

To outsiders, it seemed these two youths were continuously empowering the blue flame’s strength!

Patrick felt this way now.

He felt he was underestimated!

These two youths were actually using this summoned creature to duel with him, were they Darkness Type wizards, or other Dark Wizards.

Although this flame was hard to handle, he hadn’t suffered any loss. Contending with this devouring power through spirit power oppression wasn’t the solution; converting spirit power to spellcraft, using spellcraft energy to combat it.

This blue flame sought to devour like a beast hunting spirit power.

Not all hunters could easily capture their prey, and not all prey were lambs easy to catch. Even lambs desperately sprint when hunted.

Patrick was not someone to be slaughtered.

Releasing spirit power, converting to spellcraft, wasn’t it just counter-devouring flames, he would use a more potent flamethrower spell to counterattack this blue flame!

As a Flame Wizard, adept at manipulating fire, although not reaching the level of Flame Sages in the Wizard Alliance, the wizards in the Kangen Family had the secret techniques of the Kangen Family; to him, fire was like a pet, his own child!

Once the spirit power was released to a certain extent, his spellcraft manifested; suddenly countless firebirds appeared around him, bird-like flames swirling around him, and a dazzling fire phoenix flapped its wings behind him!
