Not Being a Trainer This Time

Tatsugiri turned back and waved to Naoki, then jumped into Dondozo’s mouth to go fishing in the ocean with them.

It was afternoon, and the Dragonites hadn’t returned yet; only some Dratini and Dragonair were on Dragonite Island.

Naoki took out some Poffins and Pokeblocks from his bag and handed them to them, then led Kubfu to the seaside.

He sent a message to Kyogre on his phone.

Soon, a massive shadow emerged beneath the calm sea surface.

The next second, the shadow leapt out of the sea, sending a shower of water into the sky.

Amidst the spray, the massive figure of Primal Kyogre appeared.

Kubfu felt a terrifying aura from this Pokemon, as deep and unfathomable as the ocean itself.

”Beyah...”

”Don’t be afraid.” Naoki gently patted Kubfu’s little hand, ”This is Kyogre, the Sea God, one of the two teachers I found for you. It masters the world’s greatest Mysteries of Water, perhaps you can learn something from it.”

Kubfu bravely lifted its head, facing the intimidating Pokemon before it.

Kyogre also lowered its body, gazing at this Pokemon with its golden pupils.

”From this day forward, I am your teacher. What you can learn from me depends entirely on you.”

Besides battling with Groudon, Kyogre was also here to repay Naoki for allowing them to settle on the World Tree.

Hence, it wished to help this Pokemon cultivate.

Upon hearing Kyogre’s words, Kubfu shuddered, then nodded seriously with determination: ”Beyah!”

Kyogre nodded slightly.

In the next instant, a vast blue wave surged from the ocean.

Kubfu felt a flash of blue light before the towering wave enveloped it.

Kubfu instinctively closed its eyes.

Yet it waited for ages without feeling the expected impact.

”Beyah?”

Kubfu opened its eyes, finding itself in a vast blue world.

This is... the ocean!

”Beyah!”

Kubfu instinctively held its breath to prevent drowning, but in the following second, it discovered something magical.

It seemed it could breathe underwater now?!

Realizing this, Kubfu quickly turned its head to look around, seeing Naoki and Kyogre floating not far away.

Naoki was also surprised by the fact that he could breathe underwater.

Is this Kyogre’s power? Clearly, Kyogre had bestowed its protection upon them.

”No need to be nervous, feel it with your heart.” Naoki said to Kubfu.

On hearing this, Kubfu began to calm down.

Seeing this, Kyogre’s will gently fluctuated.

The next second, the surrounding seawater suddenly started to churn violently.

Fearsome undercurrents and whirlpools surged madly around, rain suddenly poured from the sky, and the previously calm sea erupted into a massive wave.

The giant wave raged and roared, as if capable of destroying everything.

Kubfu’s body was swept by the undercurrent, lifted by the giant wave high into the air.

”Beyah!”

Experiencing such an event for the first time, Kubfu uttered a panicked cry.

However, soon the giant wave vanished, and the storm ceased.

Everything returned to its original state.

The blue ocean exuded a serene and gentle aura, appearing so beautiful, so gentle.

In that haze, one felt an urge to drown in it.

Kubfu panted heavily, quickly turning its head to look around at the peaceful sea, as if everything that had just happened was merely an illusion,

Yet the strong impact on its body told it that it was no illusion; the giant wave and storm had indeed been real.

”Beyah...”

What exactly is going on?

And then, Kyogre’s ethereal voice came from nearby.

”Did you feel it? This is the ocean, sometimes gentle and calm, sometimes fierce and violent, it can embrace all things and also destroy everything.”

Kubfu was slightly stunned.

Naoki’s words echoed in its ears, Kubfu closed its eyes, sitting cross-legged in the blue water, starting to feel the form and meaning of the sea.

Watching this, Kyogre was somewhat surprised.

It hadn’t expected this Pokemon to enter a state so quickly, is it comprehending?

Naoki also nodded in satisfaction.

Today, he planned to let Kubfu have a simple try first, and introduce it to the two different forms of Urshifu and their respective skills in detail after returning at night.

Kubfu sat there for two hours.

When it was over, Naoki did not take it away from the World Tree, but instead continued down to the volcanic region where Groudon resided.

Primal Groudon stood within the magma, gazing down at Naoki and Kubfu with its golden eyes.

”I can feel its aura on you, you probably just came from it, right?”

Kubfu was a little confused: ”Beyah?”

”It’s fine, no need to worry.” Naoki spoke up: ”Focus, Groudon!”

Groudon: ”Hmph, what did that guy teach you? Never mind, no need to care about its teachings, come on, learn with me. What I teach is better than what it teaches!”

”Beyah...”

Hearing this, Kubfu couldn’t help but feel a strange sensation.

It suddenly realized that its two teachers seemed to not get along too well...
