Not Being a Trainer This Time

It’s waiting here to grow fur!

Flutter Mane said so, saying that as long as it stays in a dark and damp corner like an Oran Berry, it will grow fuzz on it!

Naoki: ”...”

”Grow fur? Grow what fur? Come out and eat, if you don’t come over, the food will be eaten up by other Pokemon.”

”Ahhhh!”

Hearing this, Koraidon quickly ran out, having stayed for the whole afternoon, its stomach was already growling with hunger.

Naoki closed the door to the wine cellar and followed Koraidon back to the living room.

Holding a roast meat sandwich with its wing claws, Flutter Mane took a big bite of the meat and saw Koraidon running out.

It remembered what happened in the afternoon and couldn’t help but ask: ”Meng?” (Did fur grow?)

”Ahhhh.” Koraidon looked left and right and found that there wasn’t a single fur on it: ”Ahhhh...”

Looks like the plan failed.

Because if it remembered correctly, even when it was a Cyclizar, it had never seen a Koraidon grow fur.

This means Koraidon can’t grow fur.

”Alright, let’s eat!” Naoki sat down at the dining table, took a deep breath, and looked at the group of Pokemon around him, feeling a sense of fulfillment in life.

Dinner ended in a harmonious atmosphere.

Ting-Lu and Chi-Yu returned to their Poke Balls to rest, while Kubfu was settled by Naoki into a fluffy Pokemon nest.

”Alright, sleep here!” Naoki patted Kubfu’s head.

”Byaa~”

Kubfu responded softly, turning around to look around, curiously looking at the Pokemon nest beneath it.

Inside it was warm and cozy, a feeling it had never experienced before.

Kubfu felt very happy, curled up in the nest, and peacefully closed its eyes.

Koraidon squinted at the little bear-type Pokemon next door.

It thought to itself that this guy is really too naive, what’s so amazing about just an ordinary Pokemon nest.

Even after evolving into Urshifu, it didn’t want to let go.

Due to its size, Koraidon had never slept in a nest and couldn’t understand this behavior.

After settling a few newly joined Pokemon in the ranch, Naoki finally took out his Rotom Phone.

First, he chatted with Lono for a while, after saying good night to each other, they agreed to meet tomorrow.

Naoki had a good understanding of the dates over at the Levincia Gym.

The Gym work in the Paldea Region is very humane, with each Gym Leader only needing to work six days a week and then getting a day of rest.

Today is Saturday, tomorrow Sunday, Levincia Gym doesn’t have to accept challengers, that’s why Lono has time to come to the ranch.

After closing the chat window with Lono, Naoki opened the Legendary Beast chat group and @ Kyogre.

It was clear that Kyogre hadn’t gone to sleep yet.

A few seconds after the message was sent, Naoki received a reply from Kyogre.

[Kyogre: What do you want from me?]

[King of Wings: I have something I would like your help with.]

[Kyogre: What is it?]

[King of Wings: I just caught a Pokemon partner today, it’s been training in the Mysteries of Water recently, like practicing under waterfalls and in river water, understanding the flow of water to gain insight.]

[King of Wings: I thought since you’re the Sea God, you created so much seawater, maybe you could use your power to help it understand the Mysteries of Water.]

In the deep sea below the World Tree, in the Land of Dragons.

Kyogre calmly looked at the message from Naoki.

Sea God... is that what humans call it?

That’s not wrong, it is the embodiment of the sea, created the Primordial Sea, and holds the Hydro Vortex.

To some extent, it can indeed help that Pokemon train.

Kyogre felt no problem, repaying Naoki for letting them stay in the World Tree.

During this time, it absorbed a lot of natural energy, its strength already back to its peak. Courtesy demands reciprocity, and it should give back to Naoki.

Thinking of this, Kyogre was about to ask Rotom to reply ”Ok”.

But at this moment, Rotom in front of it told it via voice that its archenemy Groudon had sent a message.

[Groudon: Why only ask Kyogre and not me? I am much stronger than that guy!]

What’s the point of the Mysteries of Water?

It can teach that Pokemon the Mysteries of the Earth, letting it feel the majestic power of the earth!

Naoki: ”...”

He wanted to, but the problem is, contacting Groudon is of no use!

Kyogre can help Kubfu comprehend the Mysteries of Water, evolving it into a Rapid Strike Urshifu.

However, in this area, Groudon can’t offer much help.

Nevertheless, Groudon acted unrelenting, yelling and cursing at Kyogre in the group.

Eventually, the internet sensation Giratina also joined in to stir up the fun.

[Giratina: Here’s an idea! Instead of quarreling in the group every day with nothing better to do, why not compete to see who can teach better, who can make that Pokemon grow more, and who’s better? Decide the winner this way!]

[Groudon: Hmph, no problem from me!]

[Kyogre: If that’s the case, then I have no problem either.]

Naoki: ”...”

He hadn’t even agreed yet?

How come these Legendary Pokemon already had everything arranged for his Kubfu?

But then, on second thought, teachings from Legendary Pokemon are not often seen outside.

Though Groudon and Kyogre proposed this ”war” to subdue each other.
