Not Being a Trainer This Time

When he pulled out the stake, a tremor suddenly echoed from afar.

The seal on Ting-Lu was broken!

”Let’s go back!” Naoki immediately said to Koraidon.

Koraidon acknowledged with a sound and promptly turned, flying towards the campsite.

Soon, they arrived there, just like Naoki anticipated, as the final two stakes were pulled out, the last chain on the shrine disappeared!

In front of the shrine on the grassy field, the Heracross and Sawsbuck, who found nothing, also returned here.

Noticing the strange phenomena in front, several wild Pokemon turned their gaze over there.

Under their watchful eyes, Naoki stepped forward and gently touched the large door radiating blue light.

In the next second, the shrine’s door collapsed with a crash, causing dust and smoke to rise all around.

Immediately, a Pokemon leapt out from within.

”Guding ding!”

Ting-Lu, finally seeing the light of day after thousands of years of being sealed, was shrouded in a destructive aura.

A near-tangible malice emanated from its body.

It lowered its head, and the enormous cauldron slammed onto the ground with a crash.

In the next second, the earth began to shake violently, and a purple aura of disaster spread in all directions, with rocks rolling down the mountainside.

Seeing this, Heracross and the others appeared terrified and hid behind Naoki.

”Is this the Treasures of Ruin? It indeed looks dangerous.” Naoki glanced at the strange surroundings.

Ting-Lu must be stopped; otherwise, it will bring terrifying calamities to this land, just like it did to the Paldea Ancient Kingdom thousands of years ago!

In this situation, a quick resolution is necessary. It’s best to defeat Ting-Lu in a single blow!

”Koraidon, Collision Course!”

Naoki steadied himself as the purple aura of disaster was about to envelop him, and he immediately issued the command.

”Ah gah ss!”

Koraidon promptly flew out.

Its crimson body leaped high into the air, transforming as it fiercely charged at Ting-Lu.

In the next moment, a violent explosion sounded from the front.

In an instant, all phenomena disappeared.

Looking at the fallen Ting-Lu, Naoki took out a Poke Ball and threw it.

As the Poke Ball touched the incapacitated Ting-Lu, its body transformed into a red light and was captured within.

After three shakes, the red light on the Poke Ball’s clasp dissipated.

This indicated that the capture was successful.

Naoki stepped forward to pick up the Poke Ball containing Ting-Lu.

Next, it’s time to use the Reversing Cuisine to transform the calamity shrouding it into a blessing.

Having accomplished the goal, Naoki turned around and looked at the Heracross and other Pokemon behind him, then took out the remaining Pokeblocks from his bag.

”Consider these as a reward for helping me find the stakes. Thank you very much, we’re leaving now.”

Heracross accepted the Pokeblock, and with Sawsbuck, they blankly gazed at the human in front of them.

Even though they didn’t manage to aid, they too received Pokeblocks?

”Goodbye!”

Naoki mounted Koraidon, waved to the Pokemon below, and then left the Kutba Trail.

Back at the ranch, Naoki initially intended to help recover Ting-Lu’s strength after its incapacitation.

For this, Naoki made thorough preparations, specifically inviting Calyrex to prevent Ting-Lu from going berserk.

However, unexpectedly, when he released Ting-Lu from the Poke Ball, the Ruinous Pokemon did not go berserk as before.

It stood calmly on the grass, appearing just like an ordinary deer.

Naoki was slightly taken aback and then tentatively tried to communicate.

”Ting-Lu?”

Ting-Lu looked at him but did not respond.

This surprised Naoki further, what on earth was going on?

After a brief moment of thought, he took out the Rotom Phone and dialed Raifort’s video call to report the current situation to her.

”I have successfully broken the seal of the Groundblight Shrine and captured Ting-Lu.”

”Wonderful! I knew you could do it!”

Raifort’s tone was filled with surprise: ”Did Ting-Lu not go berserk at that time?”

”I used a quick resolution tactic and defeated it before it could go berserk, but now Ting-Lu seems a bit strange...”

As he spoke, Naoki turned the camera on the usually Ting-Lu.

”After returning to the ranch, it didn’t cause any calamities and became very calm. When I call its name, it looks at me but does not respond.”

”Became calm?” Raifort observed the Ting-Lu on the other side, feeling a bit caught off guard.

She carefully recalled the legends of the Treasures of Ruin.

According to legend, in the era of the distant Paldea Empire, a merchant brought four treasures: a cauldron, a sword, a scroll, and a jade, from the Eastern Lands.

He sold these treasures to the King, but that very night, the four treasures suddenly transformed into Pokemon and caused havoc, leading to the destruction of the royal city.

Ancient records state that it’s said the true forms of the four treasures were Pokemon. Over the years, they absorbed many desires and curses from different places, and when handed to the King, his desires immediately activated them...

Consider Naoki’s nature, Raifort had a rough conjecture in her heart.

”I think I know the reason,” she said.

”What is it?” Naoki inquired.

Raifort felt a complex emotion: ”It seems it transformed due to your inner self. The Treasures of Ruin were not inherently calamitous; they became what they are because of human desires.”

”If I am not mistaken, you don’t harbor greed towards them. You merely see them as Pokemon, unlike others who treat them as treasures.”
