Chapter 225: Abyssals

It was a battle the Chaos City had never faced before. As the intensity grew stronger and stronger, finally, all the tier 14 powerhouses began gathering on the battlefield.

Ethan was watching both the battle and the audience.

Suddenly, he saw a tier 14 vampire.

”This should be the primordial vampire that Victor Alucard was talking about,” Ethan thought.

The prince was shaking to his core. He wanted to run away, but that would make him a laughingstock.

Ethan was observing the prince’s movements. That bastard had started this, so he let Mosha out and ordered him to slap the prince ten times nonstop.

Mosha instantly became happy. He could not participate in the battle, but he could surely slap that skinny bastard.

Mosha vanished from his place and appeared in front of the prince.

The guard roared, ”Don’t you dare touch his highness. Your entire race will be erased from existence, and your family and friends will be killed in the most tragic way.”

Ethan was only having fun; he did not intend to kill the prince.

But when that old man dared to threaten him, his eyes turned cold.

”Nexus, end this battle,” he ordered.

”Yes, Sire,” Nexus replied politely, and the old man turned into meat paste instantly.

The entire battlefield turned eerily silent. This was the most horrendous scene they had ever witnessed.

Because only a tier 16 could kill a tier 15.

And all the tier 16 supreme existences had not taken action for eons.

Now, a tier 15 existence had been crushed into meat paste like a bug.

Ethan smiled. ”Nexus, be prepared. Your old friends might be coming to greet you.”

”They are already here,” Nexus replied.

Ethan did not yet feel their presence, but Nexus could.

”Nexus, my friend. You have visited our civilization and did not even tell us. That is so rude of you.”

A deep voice echoed from the void. It felt as if it came from all directions.

Another voice followed. ”That punk is always like this. I am telling you, his heart is mine after killing him today.”

Then a female voice rang out. ”Big brother, why would you want to break your little sister’s heart? I am so sad.”

Finally, an authoritative voice resounded. ”Stop this nonsense. Nexus, why have you come here? Did we not agree that you would not invade our civilization, and we would not hunt chaos beasts? Do you want a war with us?”

The prince felt as though he had been given his life back. The last voice belonged to the Progenitor. He had been fortunate to hear his voice once before, so he was certain the Progenitor was here.

But when he analyzed their conversation, every hair on his body stood on end. Not only him, but everyone in the entire Chaos City was trembling with fear.

”Nexus” was a taboo name in the Chaos.

The strongest and most ruthless existence of the Chaosverse.

Now, the supreme rulers were saying Nexus was present among them? How could they not be afraid?

Ethan was still seated on his throne like an eternal being. As if this conversation had nothing to do with him, and he was above everyone.

”Nexus, go and show them who is the boss.”

”As you wish, Sire.”

Then the entire Chaos heard a voice filled with disdain.

”You puny ants think you can speak to me on equal ground? You are just trash.

Pandora, give the Phantom Lord to me and we can call this off. Otherwise, let us play the game of death. Shall we?”

The first voice roared, ”Nexus, you son of a bitch. Do you think I am afraid of you? Let us play. Why are you hiding? Perhaps you want to call your mommy?”

Then, beneath Ethan’s feet, from his shadow, Nexus emerged.

His body grew larger and larger until he returned to his original size.

Mosha nearly cheered aloud. His master was about to take action, and Nexus was their master.

All the tier 16 existences of the Chaos had now gathered together.

Nexus looked at Mosha and said, ”Slap that bug like Sire commanded.”

Nexus was referring to the prince.

Mosha once again prepared to slap, but he was pinned in place by the Progenitor of the Chaos human race, Magnus. Not only him, but everyone fighting was locked in their space.

After Nexus emerged, he first freed the shadow army, including Hagoromo.

Magnus roared, ”Do not dare act as if we do not exist here. Let us fight. Let us decide the fate of the Chaos today. And what is with this form of yours? Have you become a slave? By whom? That man over there?”

They had countless questions, but no answers.

Magnus attacked without hesitation.

Nexus swiped his tail and neutralized the attack.

Magnus roared, ”Everyone, attack together!”

They all attacked Nexus from different directions, but Nexus raised a barrier to defend himself and punched at Pandora.

Boom!

Pandora was blown away countless light years.

Ethan thought, ”The battle at this level is truly a feast for the eyes. Do you not think so, Po?”

”Yes, Boss. That Nexus dude is crazy strong.”

Ethan just smiled, saying nothing.

The battle grew so intense that they sealed it into a separate dimensional space. Everyone could see them, but the impact of the attacks would not reach the material world.

Ethan could tell the madness was at least a million times greater than what they were seeing.

Nexus was fighting everyone alone, yet they were gaining no advantage. Because the moment Nexus was slightly injured, he instantly healed by using Ethan’s unbound energy.

Meanwhile, they were being injured with every passing moment.

Suddenly, the woman was struck and heavily wounded.

Magnus roared, ”Sana!”

Sana was the Progenitor of the spirit race of the Chaos. Magnus had admired her for eons, but he had never confessed, caring for her silently.

Nexus was ruthless. He struck Sana again, who was already down.

Magnus barely managed to block the fatal blow, but he was gravely injured in the process.

”Brother, this bastard is as overwhelming as ever. Now he has gained some strange healing ability as well.

We should stop fighting, and I will give him the Phantom Lord too,” Pandora said weakly.

The injuries they had sustained would take eons to heal.

But then, something unusual began to happen with Magnus.

He was muttering under his breath.

Black smoke began to rise from his body. His eyes turned pitch black.

All his injuries began to heal.

”I accept the Abyss.”

That was what Magnus muttered before he began transforming.

Magnus snapped his fingers, and everyone was forced out of the dimensional space.

”Brother, what are you doing? The Chaosverse will be destroyed if we fight outside!” Pandora roared.

But Magnus had already lost his mind. His years of frustration at never becoming as powerful as Nexus, and now Sana being injured before his eyes, had driven him to accept the Abyss, which had invited him eons ago.

Sana muttered, ”Brother accepted the Abyssal invitation. Everything is over. The Chaos is finished.”

Then she glared at Nexus. ”You son of a bitch. This happened because of you. You are the sinner responsible for the destruction of the Chaos. Not only us, but your entire chaos beast race will also be wiped out too.”

Magnus’s aura kept rising uncontrollably, soon surpassing Nexus’s and still climbing.

Ethan also sensed something was wrong.

”What is going on, Nexus?”

”Sire, this coward accepted the invitation of the Abyss. We are in real trouble now.”

”Abyss? Why does that sound familiar? Yes, that Victor Frankenstein I met in the Magus World was also an Abyssal. Was this related somehow?”

Ethan pondered the true nature of the Abyss.

Finally, Magnus’s aura stabilized. He had reached the absolute pinnacle of tier 16 instantly.

Only a step away from becoming the Chaos Ruler.

Nexus attacked Magnus, but Magnus merely raised his index finger and stopped Nexus’s attack effortlessly.

Then he punched, sending Nexus flying instantly and destroying a huge part of his body with a single blow.

But Nexus regenerated, only for Magnus to appear before him and punch again.

Nexus was being bullied like a child.

Nexus roared, ”Attack him with me, or do you want the Chaos to be destroyed?”

Because those two punches had nearly vaporized the Chaos City and its surroundings. The others had barely managed to protect it.

But if this continued, the Chaos would be gone in no time.

Everyone attacked Magnus, except Sana, who was protecting others from the impact of the battle.

They tried to drag the fight into another dimension, but Magnus canceled the attempt and attacked them instead.

The shockwaves spread further and further.

Ethan’s clone in the universe felt the tremors of the battle.

The entire universe was shaking.

He immediately contacted the main body about it.

When Ethan heard the report from his clone, he decided to step in.

But then, Magnus slashed through space, and a massive fissure appeared.

From the fissure, black miasma began gushing out, and an infinite number of dark Abyssals could be seen on the other side of the tear.
