Chapter 223: Phantom Lord

Ethan allowed him to enter the house.

Soon, he saw a burly man in luxurious clothes appear in front of him and instantly bow.

”Your Highness, my daughter Anna did not know your true identity and offended you. Please, I beg on her behalf. She is just a child. You said you wanted to hide your true identity, which is why I did not bring her with me to apologize.

Please punish me if you must, instead of my daughter.”

Ethan looked at him for some time and said, ”You should teach your daughter some manners. You have spoiled her rotten. There are some people you cannot afford to offend, as that might bring disaster to your family.

I am on a hidden mission, so I will not hold her accountable this time. But there will not be a second time.”

When Duke Santana heard that Ethan had forgiven his daughter without any punishment, he felt as though a stone had been removed from his chest. The entire Chaos City was observing his move.

If this man in front of him had ordered his daughter to be punished, no one would have been able to save her. And if he intervened, which he definitely would have, his entire family would have been erased.

This prince of the Chaos Human Race was far too kind.

He bowed down continuously.

”Thank you, Your Highness, for your generosity. The Santana House will never forget your kindness. If you have any order for us, we will obey without a single question.”

This promise was a bit too much, but Duke Santana had just been released from a death sentence, so of course he was grateful.

Ethan waved his hand.

”You may go back.”

Duke Santana then gave Ethan a storage ring.

”Your Highness, this is a small gift from the Santana House for you. Please accept it.”

If Ethan accepted the gift, that meant he had truly forgiven Anna and would not pursue her anymore. But if he did not accept it, that would mean the sword of death was still hanging over their heads, merely delayed.

Ethan did not stand on ceremony and accepted the gift. He loved money far too much.

Duke Santana instantly became happy and left the house after bowing once more.

Ethan would wait in Chaos City for some time, and then he would leave the Chaos Verse.

But for that, he would have to wait until he gained the power of a Chaos Ruler.

That way, the Dimension Master form would be accessible to him.

Ethan also wanted to try modifying the Phantom a bit more.

With this in mind, Ethan thought of going to the Pandora Company.

This company was run by one of the Tier 16 existences of the Chaos Verse.

But the problem was that Phantom was a stolen product, and Ethan wanted to take their help in upgrading it.

At that time, Nexus had been able to steal it because Nexus was stronger than the owner of the Pandora Company, and he did not want to start a battle with Nexus just for a single spaceship.

Ethan was thinking about how to upgrade the spaceship.

Yes, if he gained the strength of Tier 17, that would be enough to suppress them into submission.

But to reach that level, he would need more time.

”Nexus, what do you think we should do?”

He asked for Nexus’s opinion.

”Sire, let me go and I will force them to upgrade the spaceship. He is still no match for me.”

Ethan thought for a moment and decided against it.

Last night, he had gained 110 billion Chaos Coins after auctioning the carcass of the space behemoth.

Ethan entered the virtual network of the Chaos.

The entire Chaos Verse also had a virtual system.

It was run by the five Tier 16 beings.

The AI was a 50th generation AI, the highest available version in this verse.

Ethan got access to it after he created an account in the Chaos Bank.

He had not had time to enter the virtual realm yesterday, but now he did.

[Welcome, Ethan Hunt, Level 5 Inhabitant of the Chaos. I am Umi, your personal guide in the virtual world.]

Ethan appeared in Chaos City in the virtual world. This city was an even higher version of the real Chaos City, because there were functions and facilities here that were not present in the real one.

He was walking and watching the small fairy flying by his side.

”Hello, Umi. I want to know, is there a quick way to go to Pandora City?”

[Yes, but you will have to pay one million Chaos Coins to use that facility.]

”One million? That is a rip-off,” he thought, but since he was wealthy, he agreed. Then he asked again, ”Umi, you said I am a Level 5 Inhabitant. What did you mean by that?”

[You have more than 100 billion Chaos Coins. Your level is decided by how much money you have.]

Ethan sighed. Money was the ultimate power.

Then, with Umi’s help, he used the teleportation service of the virtual Chaos City to appear in Pandora City. It was inside the virtual realm.

Pandora City was even more advanced than Chaos City, as the city lord was the owner of the Pandora Company himself.

Ethan wanted to gather information, and if possible, he wanted to learn how to make a spaceship.

Then, he would create one by himself, even if no one helped him.

But as soon as he appeared, the guard at the gate welcomed him.

A Level 5 Inhabitant had a good reputation among others.

Ethan asked the guard, ”Hey, is there any news about the Pandora Company that I should know?”

The guard had a surprised look. ”Sir, you do not know? I thought you came here just for that news.”

Ethan asked with some interest, ”What news?”

The guard said, ”Sir, Pandora has just created their ultimate creation, the Phantom Lord. This spaceship is even a level above the Phantom spaceship they once created, which was...”

He did not dare finish the sentence. If he said that Nexus had stolen it, he would be a goner.

Existences of that level could even trace someone just because they uttered their name.
