Chapter 210: The empire on the verge of destruction

In the Lukedonia Empire, 5 days ago.

The whole empire was now in uproar. They did not know why suddenly thousands of beasts attacked them from 4 directions.

The beasts were not normal level. They were apprentice tier or higher.

Lukedonia Empire had hundreds of kingdoms, and almost all the kingdoms were attacked at the same time.

In the capital, Cadis Etrama Di Raizel was sitting on his throne. His face was not looking so good.

He was hearing reports from his subordinates and the reports were not normal.

It had been 5 days since the beasts attacked his empire and almost 7 kingdoms had fallen.

The number of the royal army was limited. They could not be sent to help every kingdom.

And if they left the capital, the royal family would become unguarded.

That was also not an option.

When he was thinking what to do, another soldier came running,

”Your majesty, 3 more kingdoms have fallen and there is an Arch tier Bear that appeared.”

Cadis stood up from his throne. An Arch beast could single handedly ravage an entire kingdom if they did not have any Arch Magus or Arch Knight.

Another soldier rushed in,

”Your majesty, another Arch beast has been located.”

Cadis was sure it was planned. The empire only had 13 Arch Magus and 16 Arch Knights. They had 6 Ancient Magus and 3 Legendary Magus.

This was their ultimate line of defence.

Cadis was sure this beast tide was just testing the water.

Ancestor would come back in 5 days. He did not know how the news was leaked that Ancestor was not present.

It was only known by him and Ethan that Ancestor was not in the empire.

So maybe there was someone strong enough to detect his presence.

This could be a catastrophe.

He got 20 more news reports about 20 Arch beasts attacking 20 kingdoms.

Cadis was sure this was a scheme to lure the Arch Maguses and Knights from the capital.

But even if he knew, what could he do? Should he just watch as his empire broke down into tiny pieces?

He could not watch that.

So he ordered 10 Arch Magus and 10 Arch Knights to immediately dispatch to aid those kingdoms.

Meanwhile in the palace of the 1st Empress.

Adrian was playing chess with his mother.

”Mother, here goes your bishop.”

His mother said, ”You really are his son. So good at scheming, I am no match for you.”

Adrian said, ”You are also not bad yourself. For 16 years, you let that old fool believe that I am his first son. What a player you are.”

The woman smiled but did not reply.

”Oh poor father, you should have handed over the empire to me peacefully, maybe you could have lived for a little longer.”

”By the way mother, dad said that the Lord will arrive in 5 days, he asked you to do everything to please the Lord. You should prepare your body well.”

His mother did not say anything but started humming. She was a pure slut.

”You do not have to worry about this small stuff. Just focus on the taking over.”

Adrian did not reply and focused on the game.

4 days passed.

6 Arch Magus and 8 Arch Knights died on the battlefield.

The beasts almost reached the capital. Cadis did not know the situation of the other kingdoms because everyone was preparing for the final battle.

Already 53 Arch beasts had been introduced to the battlefield and Cadis was sure there were even higher tier beasts than them.

”Ancestor, please come back soon or else the empire is a goner.”

Cadis and the other Arch Maguses and Arch Knights as well as the Ancient Maguses prepared for the battle.

They could see millions of beasts coming toward them.

They were only 3 km away.

At this moment, they heard 7 loud roars which could send chills to anyone and instantly seven oppressive auras joined the beasts.

7 Ancient beasts arrived.

The faces of everyone turned pale.

Now only the Legendary Maguses of the empire could save the situation.

Cadis looked at the core of the palace.

”2nd Ancestor, you should prepare with the royal staff. Otherwise we would be slaughtered.”

Soon 3 powerful auras seemed to awaken inside the palace.

They were restraining their aura until now.

But the situation was not good and they would have to attack.

Cadis roared,

”All the Maguses, be ready for battle. Attack on my command.”

He took control of the battle himself.

Every Magus, from Apprentice level to Ancient level, became ready.

As for the three Legendary Maguses, they were now floating in the air to observe the situation.

This level of beast tide had never occurred before, Ever.

Someone might be manipulating these beasts. But who could that be? And as the beasts arrived within the range of the attack, Cadis ordered, ”Fire.”

Boom! Boom!

Spell after spell was cast on the beasts, many beasts instantly vaporised, but the beasts also had Arch beasts and Ancient beasts on their side and they also attacked. They could use long range attacks too.

Instantly, the entire capital became a battle zone, though civilians were already moved into underground bunkers.

So they could attack with peace of mind as their friends and families were safe.

When the beasts came even closer, the knights attacked them.

But the number of beasts was overwhelming and they were likely still increasing.

The hope of survival was lower.

At this moment, 2nd Ancestor Noyan Di Raizel attacked the horde with the royal staff.

And hundreds of thousands of beasts were instantly turned into dust. This attack instantly filled the soldiers with hope. They started attacking with more motivation than before.

Noyan attacked again, but this time a barrier appeared above those beasts.

Instantly they became cautious. The barrier did not look like it was used by a beast.

Then they heard,

”Hey old man, your opponent is here, why are you attacking those poor beasts?”

They saw a man wearing a mask floating in the air.
