Chapter 203: Five more elements

The pain went on until he fell unconscious at the bottom of the tree.

After an unknown period of time,Ethan woke up, his clothes were all dirty now, even his hair was dirty.

He didn’t know how much time had passed. He slowly stood up and tried to observe his situation. Just as he was about to look closer, his mind entered his sea of consciousness. It was the same as when he first awakened his aptitude.

Then he saw a fire elemental sign produced in the thin air and merged with his forehead, then water, earth, wind and metal. All the elemental signs one by one merged with him.

Ethan became confused. What was going on here? Was he dreaming? He had already awakened before, how could he awaken again?

Ethan didn’t have the slightest idea what type of treasure he had just consumed.

Those were called ”Elemental Fruits,” born once every 100 million years.

Only one could take an elemental fruit and awaken that element, and the other fruits would disappear instantly. Moreover, only one person could challenge the trial at a single time.

Besides, this place was a very mysterious place. Only those true fortunate ones could obtain something like this.

But Ethan consumed all the five fruits at once and all the five elements awakened in his body.

This caused him that pain, which was the clashing of the elemental essence inside his body.

Finally, the merging process was complete. So Ethan thought of using a fire elemental spell to check if it was a dream or reality.

He had many top-tier spells in his arsenal which he got from the competition.

He used a simple fire elemental spell, ”Fire Ball.”

The mana from his core ran into that unique diagram and a fireball appeared in his hand.

”Damn! Now I have five more elemental affinities? I am really a monster.”

Ethan could hardly contain his excitement. Now he had eight affinities. He had so many spells under him which he couldn’t use before, and they would take a tremendous amount of time to research. But with these extra five affinities, everything would be easy.

He could use more diverse spells in battle as well as research their origin more freely.

Then suddenly he remembered his purpose for coming up to this mountain in the first place. It was to see the surrounding area with great range.

Ethan now had the wind element too, so he would be able to produce a floating magic spell soon, but that would take time. He needed urgent information about this place.

He went to the edge of the mountain and looked around, but what he saw made his hopes crash instantly.

There were only trees. As far as he could see, there were trees upon trees, and this place was the only space where there were no trees.

Ethan sighed.

He would have to find out the way on his own. But before that, he thought he should learn the floating spell, which would help him greatly in the future. Besides, he didn’t know how dangerous this place was.

Ethan created a portal in front of him and a portal near the lake, then he walked into that portal.

After that, he went to the lake to freshen up. He was too dirty. The lake water was very fresh.

Ethan first washed his face and looked at the reflection on the water to see if any changes had occurred or not.

But there was no change, it was the same as before. No extra elemental sign appeared.

Ethan heaved a sigh of relief. He was already considered a monster. What would they think if they saw he had five more elements in his forehead? Anyone would go crazy with jealousy.

After that, he jumped into the lake and took a good bath. After that, he changed his clothes.

He became fresh again.

Ethan then ate some food from his space ring.

After that, he started practicing magic spells. First with fire, then water, then earth, metal and wind.

One by one, he used fifty spells of five elements.

But he wanted to create a floating spell. For that, he first needed to manipulate his mana the way he wanted, without following any spell diagram.

Mana started to flow in his body, then came down to his feet and came out like a water jet.

He wanted his wind elemental mana to follow the same path, so he concentrated on using his wind elemental mana to follow the same path, but it was not so easy.

He was failing over and over. It was not about comprehending a spell, it was about creating a spell like the portal spell he had created.

But this one was easier.

After seven hours of constant trying and failing, he finally managed to make his wind element follow his order and come out through the path he decided.

His idea was simple. First, the wind would come out from his feet and then he would go up like when he had gone up from the bottom of the lake.

The difference was that the medium there was water and this time it would be air.

He was confident that if he could manage to do it as planned, he would be able to fly tomorrow and it would not be just floating, it would be flying at a decent speed.

But it was already evening, the sun was about to go down.

Ethan then used an earth elemental spell ”Earth Wall” to create four enormous walls around him, then used ”Metal Shield” to create an enormous shield above the four walls.

He didn’t keep any door or window as he was not sure if anything would attack him during the night.

He just created four small ventilators at the top of the four walls.

Now his hideout was completed. He didn’t have luxurious time to waste. He wanted to focus on the vagus diagram which was formed during the opening of the gate of the origin world. Who knew, he might be able to find something amazing from it.
