Chapter 214: Becoming rich overnight

It was at this moment, the entire Magus World felt the power of Nexus.

He was a Chaos Beast, and his talent was Chaos Manifestation, so wherever he went, chaos would follow him. It was only because Ethan happened to possess an ultimate power that he was able to include him in his Shadow Army.

The Magus World was now facing the same situation that Ethan’s universe had faced a while ago.

The difference was that this time Nexus was smaller.

Everyone was frozen within time and destiny. Even that Tier 15 Angel, Hagoromo, was not excluded.

They all watched in disbelief as a shadowy creature began emerging from Ethan’s shadow.

Mosha almost peed his pants because he still remembered how that terrifying beast had once come out from that little boy’s body. They looked almost the same, but this one sent a shiver straight down the spine just with its presence.

Nexus came out and began to grow larger and larger until he reached 500 meters in height.

He gazed at those frozen beings as if he were looking at some ants.

The Angel was still struggling with all his might to break free from the binding, but finally stopped when he beheld the terrifying creature before him.

It was a supremely majestic being formed entirely of shadow energy.

An instinct surged within him to bow before the creature.

For the bloodline of Nexus was far superior to that of the Angels.

Even a Tier 20 life form might not possess a higher bloodline than Nexus.

Hagoromo was a research maniac, and exotic beasts and rare life forms had always excited him because he had always been the predator.

But this was the first time he was meeting his predator, and an existential threat penetrated his mind like a spear.

Nexus spoke, his voice deep and resonant. ”Sire, what do you want me to do?”

Ethan sat upon a grand throne, enjoying the spectacle. He thought for a moment. So many powerful creatures were gathered here—where else could he find such an opportunity?

It would instantly make him rich.

But the problem was, he was not yet strong enough to enslave beings of this level.

And activating the ”Descent of the Chaos Ruler” just to enslave them seemed like a waste of time.

So instead, he conceived another way.

That was to make Nexus use his talent instead. Then they would follow Nexus. Ethan’s Shadow Monarch talent worked differently from Sung Jin Woo’s.

He could allow his Shadow Army generals to use this talent as well.

He had learned this through his own experiments.

A demonic smile curved Ethan’s lips. ”I want all of them in my Shadow Army, except those three humans.”

”As you command.”

Nexus was like Grand Marshal Bellion in Ethan’s Shadow Army—fiercely loyal and an immensely capable leader.

Erebus was somewhat like Beru. And Ethan had not yet obtained Igris.

Nexus opened his eyes and gazed upon them.

All nineteen Divine Tier existences as well as the Supreme Tier Angel died instantly. Nexus then unleashed the Shadow Monarch talent upon all twenty beings.

Seven Dragons.

Six Demons.

Six Spirits.

One Angel.

With this, he had already crippled those three species leaving in the world. They had only one or two Divine beings left upon their continents.

Twenty shadows slowly rose from their corpses and knelt before Ethan.

Their master was Nexus, and Ethan was the master of Nexus.

Thus Ethan was, in truth, their Grand Master.

Ethan then asked Nexus about the powerful demon’s body that lay hidden beneath this land.

Nexus turned his gaze to the exact spot, and the ground split apart.

The body was buried three kilometers deep.

It was the corpse of a demon who had once descended upon the Magus World from the Demon Realm to enslave the whole world, but Victor Frankenstein had fought that demon for seven days and nights and finally managed to kill it.

That was also when Victor vanished and never appeared before the public again.

The demon was a God Tier demon, meaning a Tier 14.

Nexus used Shadow Monarch on it as well.

The demon also joined Ethan’s army.

But Ethan was not done yet. He snapped his fingers, and millions of demons perished instantly.

Then he used Shadow Monarch on them too.

Millions of demonic shadow soldiers were added to his army in an instant.

This he did by himself because the Shadow Army required energy to revive.

Nexus might be powerful, but his energy was still finite, unlike Ethan, who possessed an infinite amount of energy.

His army would only continue to grow stronger day by day. So when they all reached higher realms, reviving them would also demand vast energy, which Nexus might not be able to supply.

Probably when Ethan became far stronger, he would shift these shadows into his own direct command. But that was for later.

At that moment, Ethan suddenly felt very rich.

”Hahahahaha, this world is truly good. But I will leave this world to my reincarnation. He should live a great life here.”

He then commanded Nexus to reverse space-time and restore the empire as it was before, sparing only the memory of little Ethan.

Ethan wanted the boy to remember that this event had occurred and that someone had saved them. But who saved them—that would remain a mystery.

Ethan had also learned of the Origin World. But there were too many powerful beings there. Nexus alone would not be enough.

So he decided his incarnation should slowly grow strong and one day dominate that world too.

Space and time instantly began to reverse, but Nexus’s voice rumbled, ”Sire, there is a problem.”

Ethan already guessed what the problem might be.

Nexus said, ”This space-time cannot be reversed. Some of its life forms were not here ten days ago.

If I attempt to reverse space-time, I would have to send them back to that Origin World, but the laws of the Origin World are stronger than our Chaos Verse. So my space-time reversal will not work on it.”

Nexus fell silent after speaking his piece.

Ethan had already suspected this. The Origin World contained many mighty beings, so it was unlikely to be possible.

Thus his only option was to use Healing.

Nexus would reverse the space-time to the point where those people emerged from the Origin World, and Ethan would unleash Healing upon the entire empire at once.

Ethan could do nothing else. So Nexus reversed time to the moment when everyone had just stepped out from the gate of the Origin World.

Then Ethan spread his vast mental domain over the entire Lukedonia Empire and invoked ”Healing.”

Instantly, Ethan became like a radiant sun, as countless rays of light-elemental energy gushed forth from his body.

The power seeped into every injured and fallen form.

The wounded saw a blinding light descending upon them from nowhere, and as it touched them, they were instantly healed.

This miracle unfolded across all the kingdoms of the empire.

But in the capital, the people witnessed it clearly.

A man floated in the skies, light gushing from his body, healing all beneath him.

Then came the ultimate shock. The dead, those who had perished within the past ten hours, began to rise again.

Even the Emperor and his two Empresses, the three Legendary Maguses, the Ancient Maguses, and the Arch Knights.

Every one of them revived.

Cadis Etrama Di Raizel awoke to find his two wives leaning against his chest.

He lifted his eyes to the figure in the heavens.

The memories of what had happened surged back, and his eyes widened.

This was no mere miracle. This was the descent of a god upon their world.

After thirty-nine minutes, all who had died within nine or ten hours were restored to life.

This became the most epic moment in the history of the empire.

Ethan had not only revived them all but had also cured their hidden injuries, especially those of the three Legendary-ranked Maguses and the Ancient Maguses—the ultimate fighting power of the empire.

Meanwhile, little Ethan was on his way. He would soon arrive.

But a mystery was born that day. Nineteen Divine Tier existences vanished from the Magus World, and no one knew why.

Some might only speculate that a god had intervened to protect humanity.

When all was complete, Ethan lifted his gaze to the sky and smiled. ”Have you not observed enough? Why don’t you come out?”

Space split apart, and a man in his thirties emerged.

Ethan immediately used Appraisal.

[Name: Victor Frankenstein

Species: Abyssal

Realm: Tier 15

Talent: Hand of Abyss]

This was Victor Frankenstein, the Father of Magic of this world? But why did his species register as Abyssal?

Victor spoke calmly. ”Friend, forgive my intrusion. I merely wished to see what was happening. That is all.”

Ethan had no desire to associate with this mysterious figure. His reincarnation should handle him.

Without a word, Ethan vanished from the Magus World.

Victor’s eyes narrowed slightly as he muttered, ”Where did this boy come from? Very intriguing.”

Then he too disappeared.
