I Punch the Tailed Beast Ball

”I thought Kusagakure sincerely came here to solve this problem. It seems that that is not the case.” Shikaku Nara said with a cold face.

Kusagakure’s negotiation team leader sighed. This was no negotiation, Konoha just straight out threatened them.

”800 million Ryo. That is the most Kusagakure can give.” Kusagakure’s negotiation team leader said bitterly.

Shikaku Nara was satisfied and ready to nod.

In fact, the Third Hokage did not specify the amount he should demand from Kusagakure, because the Third Hokage had no intention of asking for money in the first place.

He chose Shikaku Nara as the leader of the negotiation team because he thought highly of him and wanted him to show his capability as a Squad Leader for Jonin rank.

At this time, Nara was also a new Jonin. Although he had made a name for himself in the war, he actually belonged to the same generation as Minato and was relatively new in Jonin.

However, Nagasawa suddenly said: ”This time, our genius Jonin, Kakashi Hatake, almost died in the mission. How can 800 million make up for Kusagakure’s mistake? Just so you know, Kakashi is Konoha’s rising star.”

Kusagakure’s negotiation team leader’s face twitched. Setting aside whether the Kusagakure Anbu Squad could defeat Kakashi or not, was 800 million Ryo not enough?

800 million was equal to sending 80 million Shinobis to assassinate him.

Of course, this problem wasn’t just between one or two Shinobis, but a problem between villages.

”One billion! I’m afraid our Kage himself will have to do a mission to make up for the loss.” Kusagakure’s negotiation team leader said in pain.

Shikaku Nara looked at Nagasawa with a baffled look. He thought eight hundred million was ruthless enough, but he didn’t expect Nagasawa to be even more ruthless than him!

But he immediately saw an even more ruthless scene as Nagasawa still did not agree with the amount just yet. He kept pushing the amount, and finally, both sides agreed on an astonishing one billion and two hundred Ryo.

When they signed the contract, Kusagakure’s negotiation team leader glared at Nagasawa as if he was about to devour him.

The once 800 million turned into 1.2 billion because of Nagasawa, how many S-Rank Missions would they have to do to make up for that?

However, he had no choice but to give that much. Besides, no matter what kind of trick Kusagakure’s negotiation team leader pulled off, Nagasawa already knew how much money they could spare for Konoha during his discussion with Kusagakure’s Kage.

After the negotiation concluded, Shikaku Nara asked out of curiosity, ”Vice-leader Nagasawa, how do you know how much money Kusagakure can spare?”

Nagasawa smiled faintly, ”I once went to Kusagakure to steal their Anbu Intel, so I know information about them to some extent.”

”No wonder,” Shikaku Nara nodded.”

Nagasawa felt that he might sound like a liar if he told the truth, so he just made a plausible excuse.

After all, sometimes reality sounded even more outrageous than fictions.

...

...

The next day, an Anbu called Nagasawa to the Hokage office.

Minato looked at Nagasawa with a smile and said, ”I heard about the negotiation. As expected of Nagasawa. Even Shikaku admires you, and he rarely praises people.”

”Minato, why do I feel that sometimes you are more confident in me than I am? Don’t tell me you think I can do everything?” Nagasawa smiled.

”Do I?” Minato did not think much of it.

”Enough about that. Let me show you this.” Minato got up.

He smiled and handed Nagasawa a document.

Nagasawa curiously took it and had a hunch about what it was.

Looking at the content, it was just as he had guessed. It was the appointment letter for his promotion to Jonin.

It was said there that he made great contributions to Konoha, and because of that, he would be promoted to Jonin.

From then on, Nagasawa could no longer call himself the ordinary Chunin. At most he could call himself an ordinary Jonin.

However, no one believed it, because none of Jonin was average.

Jonin was all high-level elite, especially the Jonin in Five Great Shinobi Countries.

The number of Jonin in a country was the standard to determine the military strength of a country.

Strictly speaking, in Konoha, Jonin was also a social status.

Every time a major event happened in Konoha, they would hold a Jonin conference to discuss and vote, and only Jonin could participate.

The higher-ups of each organization were basically Jonin, which was one of the reasons why Minato spent so much effort to promote Nagasawa to Jonin.

It wasn’t convenient to make a decision as a Chunin, and it was prone to attract gossip.

”Jonin Nagasawa? It doesn’t sound too bad.” After reading it, Nagasawa returned the document to Minato.

”I think it’s pretty good,” Minato said with a gentle smile.

”Moreover, it won’t be long before you can be promoted to Division Captain.”

”Tsk, Division Captain Nagasawa sounded worse than Jonin Nagasawa,” Nagasawa complained.

”If those veteran Anbu heard you, they will probably be pissed off.” Minato looked at Nagasawa and laughed as Nagasawa still pretended to be dissatisfied.

”You, who became a Hokage at twenty-three-year-old, are not one to say.”

”In any case, Nagasawa, you are really awesome.”

”Minato, your strength has surpassed the old man Third.”

The two kept praising each other and laughed at each other.

”By the way, Minato, can you just give my squad some patrolling mission for a while? I can’t do overseas missions since I’m training them.” Nagasawa reminded.

Minato nodded, indicating that there was no problem with Nagasawa’s request, ”It just so happens that the Shinobi World has been peaceful recently. I’ve been dealing with less paperwork too recently.”

”After all, the three Great Shinobi Countries of the Fire, Wind, and Earth have signed a peace treaty. Those rats in the dark probably won’t dare to make trouble for a while.”

Minato couldn’t help but sigh. ”I really hope the Shinobi World can continue to be peaceful.”

”This is very difficult. War always happens inadvertently. Not everyone yearns for peace.” Nagasawa said honestly.

”I just hope that I can keep Konoha safe from war.” Minato quietly looked at Konoha through the huge window.

The Hokage office was at the highest level of the Hokage’s building. Through the huge window, he could clearly see Konoha.

Looking at the peaceful Konoha, Minato felt infinite power.

Bearing the name of the Kage, he would definitely not disappoint the residents of Konoha.
