I Punch the Tailed Beast Ball

After Nagasawa accepted the mission, Minato did not ask Nagasawa to do the mission immediately. Instead, he asked Nagasawa to prepare for a few days before going.

”Although I don’t doubt your ability, I’m sure you’re still relatively new to this type of mission, right Nagasawa? In these three days, I will give you tips for sneaking in and stealing intel. I will also tell you some things to take note of. Just treat it as preparation for battle.” Minato explained.

Nagasawa nodded and agreed.

As Minato said, he had not done any high-level Missions and lacked experience. He admitted this because he was so ”ordinary”.

This Mission was of great importance. Not only was it related to Nagasawa’s promotion, but it was also Minato’s debut in front of the Council as the Hokage.

If he failed this time and they had to go with the Third Hokage’s proposal, it would definitely have a negative impact on Minato’s personal prestige.

Some people might think that although Minato was strong, he was not suitable to become the Hokage.

Therefore, Nagasawa felt it was better to focus on this big mission and prepared as much as possible.

Moreover, he could stay for three more days to check whether Kakashi had learned Soru.

He could also ask Ensui and Hana Inuzuka to make preparations in advance. After all, this was a Mission in another country, and it was to steal information about Anbu.

When he walked out of the building, Nagasawa found that it was already noon, so he went directly to Konoha Shopping District to buy something to eat.

He lived alone, and because he neither liked it nor knew how to cook, he usually ate out and occasionally went to Minato’s house to join their meal.

The slightly cold autumn wind blew, blowing the withered leaves into the air under the flashing sun.

However, some people still wore short-sleeved shirts, didn’t care about the cold autumn wind, and were still enthusiastically discussing the peace treaty between Konoha and Iwagakure.

”Finally, the war is over. I heard that we can achieve peace with Iwagakure because of the Third Hokage.”

”Yes, thanks to the Third Hokage, Konoha is finally going to be peaceful again. Unfortunately, he has already retired. I wonder if the Fourth Hokage can protect Konoha like the Third Hokage.”

”It’s hard to say. Fourth seems to be only twenty-three years old this year. He is too young. It’s really worrying.”

Hearing these discussions, Nagasawa shook his head with a smile.

The peace treaty was solely thanks to the Third Hokage? What a joke!

Hadn’t it for the fact that Minato killed a thousand of Iwagakure Shinobis and destroyed their supply route, Iwagakure wouldn’t even bother to sign the peace treaty!

”But it’s not entirely wrong to say that the Third signed the treaty.” A mocking look appeared on Nagasawa’s face.

The reason why Iwagakure accepted Konoha’s conditions was that the conditions given by Konoha were too good.

There was no need to compensate for the resources. The Third Hokage expressed that Konoha forgave Iwagakure for invading the Fire Country and would not prolong this conflict as long as Iwagakure signed the peace treaty.

Nagasawa was speechless. If he did not know the whole story, he would think that the losing side was Konoha.

It was basically saying that Konoha was invaded by Iwagakure yet won. However, they were too lazy to dwell on their loss and didn’t need anything except peace.

Iwagakure: ”That’s all? Then I will definitely sign it.”

It was not that Nagasawa couldn’t understand the Third Hokage’s thoughts. Maybe he was exhausted and did not want to fight anymore. Moreover, it was not like there was no benefit in stopping the war.

But that did not mean he should get all the credit.

Moreover, he made Minato Hokage but still kept the authorizing right t himself on the pretense that ”Minato is still young.”

Nagasawa shook his head, feeling a little emotional.

Sarutobi Hiruzen was neither stupid nor incompetent. If he were really incompetent, he would be killed along with Tobirama. In the face of danger, he led Konoha to win the Second Shinobi World War and defended Konoha’s name as the strongest Shinobi Village.

Maybe time would change everything.

Nagasawa stopped thinking about these matters and thought about what to eat later instead.

”Although Ichiraku Ramen was delicious, I just had it yesterday, so I’ll pass today. How about a barbecue? It sounds a bit too greasy to eat at noon...”

As Nagasawa was thinking about it, he found himself in front of a dumpling shop before he realized it.

Without hesitation, Nagasawa directly walked in. He had not eaten sweets for quite a while, and it seemed that eating dumplings for lunch was still feasible.

Walking into the shop, Nagasawa walked to the counter and said in a familiar voice, ”Watanabe, the usual, please.”

Watanabe smiled and said, ”Three premium ones, right?”

”Of course. Did you forget just because I haven’t been here in a few days?” Nagasawa joked with a smile.

”Of course not, Nagasawa-kun.” The boss laughed and went to make Nagasawa’s order.

He felt that his dumplings were pretty sweet, but Nagasawa said that it was not sweet enough.

That was the reason Nagasawa left some impression in his mind. With Nagasawa’s long-term patronage, the two of them became friends who occasionally joked with each other.

Nagasawa casually sat in a seat and quietly waited for his dumpling.

In his previous life, he had a sweet tooth

”Nagasawa-senpai?”

Suddenly, a spirited voice sounded behind Nagasawa.

Nagasawa turned around curiously. A young man with a watermelon head and a green tightsuit entered his eyes.

”Nagasawa-senpai, thank you.” Might Guy thanked Nagasawa solemnly.

”Huh?” Nagasawa was a little confused as he did not do anything to Might Guy.

Might Guy explained, ”Since Kakashi returned to the village, he has been depressed. The only challenge he’d accept from me was rock paper scissors. But after he finished the mission with you, I felt that Kakashi’s youth had returned, and he even asked me about Taijutsu. Although I don’t know what you’ve done for Kakashi, I am very grateful!

”You really are...” Nagasawa did not know what to say for a moment. Kakashi was really lucky to have a friend like Guy.

”Nagasawa-senpai, how did you cheer Kakashi up?” A red-eyed girl sitting next to Guy asked curiously.

She was really curious about how Nagasawa did it. She, Guy, and Kotetsu had been trying to cheer Kakashi up, but Kakashi ignored them.

Meanwhile, Nagasawa just did a Mission with Kakashi and successfully pulled Kakashi together.

Next to him, Kotetsu and others also looked at Nagasawa curiously.

They did not understand how an ordinary Chunin like Nagasawa could cheer Kakashi up.

”How did I cheer Kakashi up, huh...” Nagasawa fell into deep thought.
