I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 2124: 25.14 Lone Black Star - Checking through worlds (5)

Duke Ye’s family mansion

Inside the personal office of the duke, he is now facing his protective guide wife who is covering for their foster son, Ye Caoyun. The mental cultivation technique that was given to them by Ye Caoyun was not obvious at first. It was until Mo Jing’s original mental grade, which is the original A-grade, had suddenly evolved to A+ in just a month. Even the usual mental outburst of Duke Ye Jie had lessened a lot after practicing the same technique. There is even a feeling of his cultivation level loosening to reach the next level. That’s why he wanted to ask his adopted son about this technique and where he had gotten it. He actually wanted to share this to the troops under their family and the royal family.

However, when he tried to use the cultivation technique on the paper, he couldn’t write it at all. The whole cultivation technique was in his mind but for some reason he couldn’t record it. That’s why he wanted to ask the boy why this happened and came to strongly scare the kid, making him run towards his dad.

Duke Ye Jie looking at his wife’s mama bear mode and the hiding son behind him, made him feel like a villain and immediately calm down.

Sigh~

”Wife. I am not here to bully our son. I only wanted where he got this mental cultivation technique and if he can record it to be spared. This cultivation technique is extremely useful in controlling and lessening the mental pollution among the sentinels! This is something that can extend one’s life!” Duke Ye Jie said.

Upon hearing this, Duchess Mo Jing felt that his husband was telling the truth. This technique had actually made his healing stronger. Now that he thinks about this, this change only happened when his technique was taught to him by his son, Ye Caoyun.

Mo Jing worriedly asked, ”Son, who taught you this technique? Was it truly alright for you to teach us this? Will you not get scolded?”

Feeling the anxiousness within Mo Jing’s voice due to him being worried of him being punished, Ye Caoyun even felt more grateful towards this foster dad of his. He truly thinks of him as his son and is worried about his life and state.

”This technique is taught to me by an old man in robes in my dreams. I thought it was just an ordinary dream when I was a child but I would dream of this person frequently as a child. It was recently when I was at my lowest and when I failed to awaken that the old man appeared in my dreams again. He taught me this technique saying that he doesn’t know about this quantum beast or spirit beast our world possesses. Once he learned that these beasts were born from mental power and capabilities, he taught me this technique saying that as long as my mental powers increase then awakening whatever should be awakened will be possible. I only recently tried it and only shared it with both you and father,” said Ye Caoyun pretending to be a good boy who had met an immortal in his dreams when in reality the soul of this boy is more ancient than the oldest being of this world.

The boy added, ”As for sharing, I don’t know. It can be shared through mental aura but... that can only be done with someone you trust right?”

It was only with this explanation that Duke Ye Jie had realized why this technique cannot be written through paper. It’s a technique that can only be shared through divine consciousness. However, this way of sharing knowledge can only be done between two people who trust the other person whole-heartedly. It’s like touching the soul of the other and directly teaching it. When Ye Caoyun taught them, they didn’t think much as the boy’s aura is naturally soothing and they trust the boy with their whole heart.

However, sharing it with others is a problem. Like Ye Caoyun had said, it can only be passed to people who trust you even with their souls. He wasn’t that sure that his subordinates’ soul would be willing to accept his intrusion as he shared this technique. He can share it with his Royal Brother though. But to hide its source, he didn’t want his son to be implicated. If his royal brother learned it was from their son, he might want to give the boy an official standing. But he is still too weak, being too exposed due to a title would just put him in danger.

Mo Jing, the duchess thought the same thing as well and said, ”Brother Jie, if you want to share it with your royal brother then it’s fine. But you cannot expose our son. Yun’er is still too young!”

”I know. I will not tell the royal brother that this technique came from Yun’er,” said Ye Jie then looked at his son and asked, ”Son, is it alright for me to share this technique with your royal uncle?”

”You can but... once you do that Royal Uncle cannot share it to other people. The old immortal only allowed our family to share it while those who learn it from us will never be able to share it with others without his permission,” said Ye Caoyun.

He had actually placed restrictions on this mental cultivation technique and only his parents didn’t have this restriction. But once they share it with others, the restriction I placed on the technique will activate. If someone tried to pass it to the others, this technique and all the upgrades it had caused would fade as if a balloon was punctured and all air would be gone. The feeling would be close to this effect.

The duke upon hearing this realized that the master who passed this to their son didn’t place restrictions on them and they could teach it to anyone they wanted. But once the person they taught tried to teach it to the other person it would be impossible to allow that person to teach the other person.

”This is a bit of a problem. I cannot always be there to teach all the soldiers in our family. If that happens, I would be tired out and would suffer mental exhaustion,” said Duke Ye Jie with a frown.

Thinking of this Ye Caoyun thought for a moment and said, ”Father, if I meet the old man in my dream again I will ask him if he can resolve this.”

”Thank you, Yun’er. Promise to tell Dad and Father once you feel that you are awakening alright. We will guide you in the process,” said Duke Ye Jie while gently patting his son’s head.

Duchess Mo Jing hugged his son and said, ”Ignore your father. He is always busy. It is enough to tell your dad!”

”But... But if I cannot awaken then I...” Ye Caoyun said with his head lowered. He wanted to see how these two would react if he had remained as useless a waste as he always was.

”Don’t worry. Even if you have not awakened, you will still be our son and Dad will not allow anyone to bully you,” said Mo Jing.

Ye Jie added, ”That’s actually better. At least, the laws of the empire will not force you to enter the galactic warfield. You can stay with your dad at home. It’s enough that only I fight in the frontlines.”

Upon hearing this Ye Caoyun’s last hesitation had finally disappeared, in his heart he had finally truly accepted these two people in front of him as his parents in this world. He hugged them while crying for the first time in this world. All his life including his previous life, this is the first time he felt what real family feels and how they treat you as regardless of what you are.

”Thank you, Dad! Father!” Ye Caoyun said.

After the family had shared breakfast together, he went to school with his dad while his father went to the imperial palace to inform his royal brother about this mental cultivation technique.

At the Imperial Palace...

After the duke had sought an audience with his royal brother, Ye Wang, he had also asked for a private meeting instead of the usual ordinary audience. His majesty, Ye Wang, had agreed and brought his little brother to his empress’s receiving hall. Now the imperial couple had accompanied him in the hall. The tea and snacks were served in the room but no servants remained in the hall as the duke requested.

”A’Jie, this is the first time you have requested a private meeting. You usually avoid this kind of meeting to avoid people from thinking you are taking sides and making the noble families fear our family,” His majesty, Ye Wang said.

Ye Jie enjoyed the tea his sister-in-law had made for him and didn’t respond to his brother’s teasing. His elder brother had always been like this after all and he is used to it. The Empress suddenly smiled and asked about their newly adopted son.

”Brother Jie, I heard about you adopting a little, cute boy. Why don’t you bring him over for me to have good look,” said the Imperial Empress.
