I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1753: 24.14 Sixth Violet Star - Kind Soul

Healing the old marshal was just a simple reward for the Ancient God of Chaos, Hunluan, and the World Eater, An Shizhe. The ailments of Long Huang stem from his connection to his crippled beast. Since his beast lost its limbs, he had lost the feeling in his limbs as well, preventing the old marshal from getting up like a normal person. This was actually done intentionally by Huzi, the mythical nine-tailed fox beastman, as punishment for his inability to control his own people, his own race. An injury that human medicine and machines can never heal.

After all, contracted beasts aren’t easily hurt. Even if they do, they can heal thanks to their connection with their master, and likewise, they will also get stronger as long as their master gets stronger. In a way, the two are connected with one another. Injuries to the beast will affect its contract master, especially the closer their bond is. For the old marshal who had reached the closest relationship with his beast, the backlash on him due to his beast’s injuries is the heaviest.

Long Huang and Long Tian were stunned by the sudden event before them. No one had expected that there was a way for a beast to get healed after being bound to a human. Beasts, once contracted, will become an entity not completely of that of flesh but something beyond. Not only will their lives be bound to a human, but they will also be pulled into another place connected to their master. In this place, they can exist forever as long as their master is alive.

However, this place is beyond the scope of what humans can enter. They knew about its existence, but they were unable to influence it directly. That’s why when their beasts are wounded, they have no means to cure them, but this place can heal the wounds of the beasts. Fatal ones are impossible to heal, though.

Now, a beast king capable of healing its own kind had appeared before them. Not only can they converse using their own language, but they seem to be no different from a human being when they talk. The two were dumbfounded by such a scene. When Long Juedi had returned, he was surprised to see his grandfather standing up on his legs, and the towel in his arms almost fell on the ground if not for the servants catching it at the last moment.

Thud~

Ling Juedi stares at Long Huang with a startled look on his face. ”Grandfather... Your feet... Are you finally cured?!”

”Haha~ it is all thanks to this friend here. We can continue the conversation later. Give what they had requested,” Long Huang said as he let the servants bring over what was asked by the silver, winged tiger, and asked them to leave after putting things down.

Long Tian went out to issue a silencing order and said that anyone who broke it would be considered a traitor and would be killed on the spot. The loyal servants were unafraid as they never had any intention of betrayal. As for the spies within the family, they tried to escape, only to be killed by Long Tian. They knew the moment the marshal said those words meant that the spies today could not escape death.

The hallway was filled with the scent of blood after the marshal had executed the spies within the mansion. His beast had ripped them to pieces and suffered the worst pain. After cleaning up outside, the guards were also informed that the Long family isn’t accepting any guests for today.

The marshal glanced at the bodies on the ground and ordered, ”Clean up the place.”

”As you wish, Marshal!”

The loyal servants responded.
After things outside were handled, the marshal stared at the closed door of the hall but didn’t enter. He looked at himself, covered in blood, and chose to wash first before rejoining the others in the hall. He walked back and returned to his room.

Meanwhile, inside the receiving hall.

Long Huang and Long Juedi stare at the little black cub that the silver, winged tiger picked up from its arms. They watch as the silver-winged tiger gently places the black cub into the basin with warm water. He rubs here and there to get the beast cub all cleaned up. Once he had finished cleaning the black cube, he lifted it from the basin. Upon seeing this, Long Juedi helped with drying the little one.

This is the first time they had seen a beast this small. After all, once the beast egg had hatched, it would come out as an adult like this silver-winged tiger in front of them. Obviously, the other egg didn’t possess a beast but something else.

Long Juedi was extremely careful carrying the little black cub in his arms. His thoughts at this moment: ”So soft, so small.” I need to be as gentle as possible, as I might hurt him.

”This is... Is this a beastman’s cub?” Long Huang asked.

The silver, winged tiger nodded its head and said, ”Indeed, he is a beastman cub.” However, the soul inside is not that of a cub. This is an adult beastmen that had regressed because of what you humans had injected into him in that place.}

”Beastman cub? Regressed? Injected?” These words left Long Juedi confused, as the old marshal instantly understood the identity of the two beasts in front of him.

The old marshal, Long Huang, asked, ”Are you two from that facility in the ancient forest?!”

{Indeed, we are. There were only six of us who had survived that place. Taken away by a group of beastmen. However, in the end, one of them was an undercover human pretending to be a beastman. He had stolen the two of us and sold us in that auction hall where your grandson bought us, Hunluan said.

Long Juedi, who couldn’t understand the conversation of the adults, asked while holding a sleeping little beast cub in his arms. ”He fell asleep. Is he okay with not eating first?”

{Don’t worry. Let him sleep first. He is just sulking that he was born in this form instead of an adult. He needs another year to mature. But in half a year, he should be able to walk on his own. When that comes, once we get in contact with people in the ancient forest, we will help you get a beast egg that is the most suitable for you. Until then, you can pretend that I am your beast.}

Hunluan, like his son, the God of Destruction, is soft towards children of all races. Why is he gentle toward Long Juedi, who was not only pure at heart but also a kind soul? At the very least, the ancient god of chaos chose to protect this child until his fated beast was found.

Long Juedi was delighted and said, ”Really? You are telling the truth!”

{Once my mate wakes up, we’ll help you get your own beast. Until then, we will protect you as well. This is our thank you to you all this time you cared for us in our egg form. That was our most vulnerable state. Even so, you had taken good care of us. We shall repay this debt in the future.}

Long Juedi asked, ”Can’t you stop the war? Because of the war, I rarely saw my father. They also said my mother was killed by those bad beasts as well. I don’t want to lose my father, my brothers, my sisters, and my grandfather as well because of war.”

Long Huang was stunned, as he didn’t expect that his grandson had been worrying about this all this time. He passed the little cub back to the silver-winged tiger and hugged his grandson. But Long Huang understands the loneliness of this child. Almost all of the adult members of the Long family are a part of the military. Because of this, they rarely get home, and as the youngest of all in the family, Long Juedi can only stay in the mansion alone with the servants.

He patiently waits for them to return. It was just that a year ago, he had indeed returned but came back crippled. He still remembers how much this grandson of his cried over his injury. At that time, they all thought that he was frightened by his ailment. In reality, the child was relieved that he had come back alive, regardless of his injuries and his ending.

Long Huang said, ”Thank you for always waiting for us. Xiao Jue is very kind and a good boy. Because you are here, that grandfather at his lowest wasn’t lonely or crippled. You accompanied Grandpa because you are afraid I will be in pain?”

”Don’t worry, Grandpa. I asked Uncle Doctor. He said that as long as you drink your medicine, it will no longer be painful. Ah! But didn’t the senior cured Grandpa just now? There should be no pain anymore. Grandpa, don’t cry,” said Long Juedi.

The ancient god of chaos, Hunluan, said, ”The kindness of this child is what made us like him.” Don’t worry, child. As long as we find my son, he and his mate should be able to handle the situation. Though at this moment... They might have just hatched at the same time as us.}

At the hidden nest within the Ancient Forest, a commotion had been made because one of the caretakers of the nest shouted in incredulity, especially with two eggs placed at the center hatched, but their contents were missing.

”Ah! The young masters are missing!!!”
